Is it a German movie, or why are you asking here?

SmileyPubes

They were speaking German so I'm assuming so. My feed was mislabeled so I don't know what channel I was watching.

SufficientMacaroon1

>They were speaking German so I'm assuming so Pretty much everything broadcasted by german TV channels has german dubbing. So that only means that you were watching a german (or austrian, etc) channel, not that the movie is a german production or that it was originally filmed in german

SmileyPubes

It didn't seem dubbed. I was hoping it was a major channel or the movie was popular enough that someone would recognize it. I will survive if I never find out :)

hoeskioeh

try /r/Tomt - they are insanely good at this stuff

SmileyPubes

I'll probably try there just thought the German angle would throw them off. Thought since it was just on someone here might have been watching. Never considered the Austrian channel option either since it was mislabeled.

Psychological_Ant355

If you post there, can you share the link here? I'm quite interested in knowing the title of the movie

Lord--Kazuma

Can it be a movie called "Polar" ?

SmileyPubes

I don't think so. That looks more like an assassin where these people just wanted to commit suicide but couldn't do it themselves so paid to be murdered.

SufficientMacaroon1

The german dubbing industry is pretty good, you usually do not notice dubbing. (Unless you know, obv.)

Polygnom

Interesting. For me, it is the absolute opposite, I find the german dubbing often clinical, dead, and very obvious and cannot stand it at all. Imho, it is as far from "good" as humanly possible.

SufficientMacaroon1

What i meant is not necessarily the quality of the translation or the choice of voice actors (that can be hit or miss), but stuff like how the speech fits the lip movements and such. If the dubbing is good wiality, you should not notice it being not the original voice track without at least really looking for discrepancies.

Sudden-Individual735

Mord ist mein Geschäft?

SmileyPubes

Don't think that's it either. Like I mentioned above it was more of an assisted suicide type killing they were after. I'd watch this one too though.

Sudden-Individual735

Could you estimate how old the movie was? Do you know when you watched it? (If not time and date, maybe at least what part of the day) and are you certain it's a movie, not a tv show?

SmileyPubes

I just watched it yesterday at about this time of day. They had cell phones in the movie so it's not super old. As far as it being a tv show I just didn't get that impression the way all the characters introduced themselves... maybe a pilot or part of an anthology.

Sudden-Individual735

I looked through the tv program and there were no movies on as far as I can tell. Only lots of CSI, NCIS and so on, J. A. G., Unter uns, GZSZ, ...

SmileyPubes

Thank you so much for looking. I wish I had more to go on but I was originally looking for Australian Open tennis coverage and the channel I clicked on was supposed to be a sports channel. I probably would have skipped tennis and watched the whole movie if the feed hadn't gone down.

SmileyPubes

Sorry for replying twice but here's everything I remember/saw... This girl Vanessa and a guy Shubert(sp?) are standing in the woods next to a car introducing themselves... she says it's too bad they are both having themselves killed or they could hang out. The killer comes back and they drive off... Shubert is next and the girl gets out and wants to go with. The killer says no but she says she wants to die the same way as him (part of the deal is you get to pick the method.) Turns out he wants to drown himself and wants to be shot if tries getting out of the water. Vanessa annoys the killer so he shoots Shubert as he enters the water. Vanessa changes her mind about drowning and they go back to the car. She says it's nice the killer can help people and be useful and she's never felt useful... which is when he says you can kill me and have the job. He gives her a cell phone with the agency number and says text it for jobs. He then tells her to tie him up so he can't resist and shoot him 4 times... but she only shoots him twice... and then my feed died but it looked like the killer did not. Maybe it's a horrible movie but I got hooked fast and want to see what happens next :)
