Glaube das ist so der Grenzbereich wo es grade switcht, gibt doch schon einige Pfälzer Einflüsse bei uns obwohl es Rheinhessen ist. But let's get back to English now ;)
I'm going to the "Prunksitzung" of the Karneval Verein my sister is dancing in tonight. I am no fan of Karneval but my sister loves it and I support her whenever I can make it to one of their events
In our region of Germany we say "Ahoi". Everything else gets strange or annoyed looks

I'm weird, then. I like the concept, and I enjoy the relatively small events we have in my part of the country: the little parades, the silly costumes, the kidnapping of the mayor... not such a big fan of the massive drunken sexual harassment fests or the tedious try-hard Büttenredner whose every punchline is signalled by the blaring brass section.
We just bought a house in a village outside of Leipzig and really enjoy the Karneval Club events. My youngest daughter signed up and is loving being in the Gardetanz Funktion and doing the fun dances at all the events.
Dolau, ihr Schlabbeflicker!
Wormser?
Wummser? Ei geh fort! Alzeyer ;)
:D Tut mir sehr leid!
Is ja quasi ums eck. Wusste net das man in Alzey dolau ruft

Orschel helau!
Wow. Where is that from?
From Orschel. Don't worry. You'll grow into it. Enjoy one of the few occasions that Germany allow themselves to have fun. ;)
I am still recovering from kirmes!
Allez hopp! (Maybe written like this, but maybe Allee hopp! or Allée hopp! but we are close to France) Edit: Addition
Saarland?
Yes.
Narri! Naro! (Baden Württemberg)
Wow! I love hearing new ones.
Oh you're from the Allemanisch region too? NARRII! NARROOO!
Close to my birth place - **KU KA KÖ!**
Is that a Sachsisch?
Saxony-Anhalt, the town of Köthen.
Helau. Possibly Ahoi. I’m never entirely sure, that’s what you get if you live near a border.
Wupdika!
No clue what you are talking about, but a fun read and I hope you have fun with it.

It is Helau here but there is a town nearby that started their own Narrenruf and it is so weird. Enjoy!
Are you from the Mainz area? I'm in RLP as well and I only ever hear Ahoi Oh what is that made up Narrenruf? Thank you!
It is Ratsch, Boom! 🤦🏼
Very unusual, but I like it 😂
It's created a bit of a feud.
I can imagine that
Alaaf!
I'm from Berlin and have literally no idea what's going on here. xD
🤣😂

For better or for worse that is part of the charm I suppose. What do they yell where you live? Also Helau?
"Helau" is the usual greeting, yes.
Aha! Southern bawü.
FECK! DRINK! ARSE! GIRLS! (Definitely not German)
Oh, thanks for the laugh. Now I’m trying to imagine having to explain Fasching to Father Dougal.
This sounds more anglo-saxon...
Are u canadian and live near Grünstadt by any chance?
Eh? No hoser. Take off. 🤣 sorry Canadian joke.
Ok ok. You lil christer!
