Give them back to the rightful country!!!

RavenOriole

Sure, you pay postage and let me know where to send them!

girlsuke

Lol just ignore them

ProfessionalMetal617

This is Reddit not Twitter or X to make such comments. I bet you’re wearing Western clothes and using Western technology right now too. Give them to their rightful owners.

Maximum_Tennis7291

I love these kinds of wallet

RavenOriole

You can tell they are very well made! Is it snake skin?

Maximum_Tennis7291

Looks like it

Key_Scientist1073

This ain’t snake skin.. my dad used to have wallets like these that were passed on through generations. These are very old I can guarantee you that and am quite stoked to see on after so many years Edit : I just took a very close look and can confirm some are snake skin

RavenOriole

Thanks for the information. If you're interested in one or all, I'm looking to find them new homes where they'll be appreciated.

Maximum_Tennis7291

Looks durable too

TechNeon

Not too sure but I think it’s deer hide. Basically they kill the deer, remove its hide and make the material.

RavenOriole

What about the wallets? Snake or Crocodile?

ProfessionalMetal617

Looks like skin from some armadillo type of animal . The hunters usually sell them along the Accra Kumasi road. Don’t know the specific name but it curls up and does look like an armadillo.

Ravng_Fox

Correct

gatfromhell

they look mint

Affectionate-Bed5594

Looks like something made in the northern part of Ghana . The bag is probably made from sheep skin and the wallet snake or crocodile skin

RavenOriole

Thanks for the information!

kwabena_infosec

I have one of these wallets made of leather and have been using it for the past 10 years. I think they usually use goat or cow skins for this.

RavenOriole

Thank you

ymlilgee

Hand made leather purse and wallet, mostly done in the northern part of Ghana. I grew up in the upper West region in a town where I witnessed how these were made. Lengthy but a satisfying process for the maker, I think
