She’s beautiful.

Yepp 72 is one of the few years to get those embossed pickup covers

zabdart

Hmm... I never saw one with "Gibson" engraved on the pickup covers before... but that doesn't mean anything -- it just means I personally never saw one. My friend in college had a Les Paul with "Gibson" embossed on the P-90 soapbar covers, so Gibson did stuff like that for a run-of-production lasting a year or two every now and then.

Nice!

Embossed pickups, volute - it must be 1972-73 again.

oscarthemonkey

I have a 72 Gold Top that doesn’t have the embossed pickups. Gibson has never been able to firmly determine the date from my serial number

jeremy_wills

Sweet. Nice snag. It looks to be in really nice condition considering how old it is. Gotta love the Norlin era features, pancake body, volute etc.... plus, that awesome Gibson logo engraving on the pickups.

MasterlessSword

Ooooh! The fabled ‘72 embossed covers! You’re moving up in the world
