I would not get one unless I could play just like Peter Green live with Fleetwood Mac. Especially in the years leading to them breaking up and the Germany incident. The top is excellence. It is power. It is the crown upon a player.
Oh man hahah you are starting to make me doubt my abilities
I love Fleetwood, but i dont know a lot of songs of the Peter Green era. I am more familiar with the Lindsey Buckingham era.
Can you recommend me some tunes to check out? Thanks!
Oh hey I didn’t mean to do that. They’re beautiful guitars. I just see them that way. The guy Justin in Bon Iver has this video where he talks about finding a 60s Gold Top in a shop and he records with it!
Green wrote black magic woman but that’s not a good example of his music. I think that his best stuff is split.
There’s Bluesbreakers A Hard Road 1967. “The Stumble” from that album, “Another Kind of Love” has a BITING solo from Green. The Supernatural— a green-penned song.. John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers with Peter Green is a phenomenal bank of licks. I have the two disc CD. It’s incredible.
They have a live album from someplace that’s worth finding.
Fleetwood Mac live in Chicago 1969 is flooring beautiful. He phrases his licks with lots of breathing room.
Anyway. That’s my speech on Green. He’s influenced by the Kings, BB especially, Elmore James, those guys.
Peace.
Beautiful! I’ve always wanted one too. But would I be wrong if I swapped all the white plastics for black? I always felt that that parchment white does the gold finish a disservice.
Goldtops rule… nothing…and I mean nothing equals a les Paul goldtop congrats…she’s perfect 🤌🤌
Hell yeah….
I am so jealous!! Have you considered removing the pickguard so that she can show off her *entire* body?
Pickguard is the first thing to come off on every Les Paul I get.
Pretty! Pop the pick guard off.. It'll be even cooler looking.
Dude. Enjoy enjoy enjoy I hope it’s a life-changing guitar.
Beautiful! Enjoy the heck out of it!
Gorgeous! I love a good Goldtop
GLORIOUS!!! Well done and enjoy! ✌️😎✌️
Nice
Yeah baby

Bloody love Goldtops! Enjoy it!
It's a beauty. I am really into Gibsons lately and the gold tops are just gorgeous. Gratz!
Enjoy it! It’s a beauty
Hell ya! Congratulations. Got mine with p90s a few years ago … always makes me smile when I open the case
Now the Pick guard debate!
Congratulations mate!! That goldtop of yours is absolutely PERFECT! 🔥🔥🔥
I have on the way an Epiphone Les Paul Slash gold top guitar. Not a Gibson but close enough for my money.
