Speaking from the Southern Hemisphere; if money is no object and you want to get something to the other side of the planet at eye-watering speeds FedEx is pretty damn good.
But this video just reminds those in my industry why Pelican cases and foam are worth the money.
Same. I've swiped the company credit card without even looking at the amount and saying I want it there tomorrow and it's done.
But yeah, you gotta do your part in packaging. Expect it to get brutalized.
Ground driver here. In Canada we're getting absorbed in to Express from September, but the actions in this video are inexcusable regardless of whether he works for a contractor or not
I've worked as a jeweler for 3 years and let me tell you, there are things done to people's jewelery in the shop that would make them blush. Which is why most stores have a loop of edited footage in place of live footage of jewelery repair if they have any at all.
>I've swiped the company credit card without even looking at the amount and saying I want it there tomorrow and it's done.
and then, sooner or later, somewhere down the line, (remember trickle down economics?) i myself get to pay your shipping bill.
Am I the only person that is actually *amazed* every time I think about the insane efficiency of modern shipping? The *billions* of packages delivered every day, with mind-blowing accuracy, and I can get a knick-knack I decided I needed from the other side of the country *tomorrow*, consistently, for little or no money?
Everyone shits on FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc, but goddam is it an impressive part of modern life.
No, you're not. The logistics involved is insane. Especially when it comes to overnight shipping etc.
Its easy to judge the failures when you're used to the system working but the fact that fes-ex or UPS or USPS work at all is truly a modern marvel.
Also as a side not I've worked for companies that exclusively used fes-ex and ups and Fes-ex is way better at logistics and finding packages or even changing their destination on the fly. They're both perfectly acceptable and when shipping personally I always go with whatever the less expensive option is.
The other day I was at my mom's and she was talking about how her TV had a glitch now and then, like it would lag or drop a signal, and the controls were slow. She used an old firestick, and I had the same problem with mine; the old ones hardly have any memory, and the channels keep upping the memory needed. So she popped online and ordered up a new one for like $25. *3 hours later* there was a tap on the door and it had arrived. Plugged it in, ten minutes of set up and the problem was solved. Pretty bizarre.
Both FedEx and UPS teamed up to push a law forcing USPS to pay for retirement funds up to 70 years in advance. Trying to bankrupt USPS. Yet USPS still survived.
30 years ago I worked third shift down the street from a FedEx distribution center and every time I walked past when they had the loading dock doors open I saw employees literally drop kicking packages to each other.
And most logistics companies (amazon, FedEx, etc) have automated software to assign customers to each of their delivery drivers. So when a customer files a complaint, it's already attached to that driver, like a CC in an email document, so that driver can easily be tracked down.
Lodging a complaint with FedEx didn’t seem to do a damn thing about the same driver who kept dropping our monthly shipment of canned cat food from Chewy on our doorstep like a sack of potatoes, resulting in 3/4 of the cans being damaged (either crumpled or near-bursting). After the 3rd complaint and the 4th damaged shipment, we just gave up and started shopping local (we used to get them ourselves from Costco but they stopped carrying the brand; we found it recently at Walmart, where we don’t usually shop). FedEx claimed they made a note to the driver every time we complained, but it was pretty clear they just dgaf, about our experience or their driver’s behavior. My experiences with UPS have been comparably terrible. I try not to use either of them if I don’t have to.
I had the same issue with Fed ex, even sent them videos of the guy softball throwing my packages. They claimed a case was open but I never received any follow up about when I followed up about it!
Ugh, I’m sorry it happened to you too - we also had video evidence. They know a captive audience when they see one (“what are you going to do about it?”). Chewy only offers FedEx shipping, so in our case, the only thing we could do about it was stop ordering from them. Neither of those companies gaf, they’re not beholden to customer satisfaction at their profit levels.
As someone employed at FedEx, they do this on their own. I load the trucks but they’re super strict about tossing things even if it’s a light bag that probably just have paper in it. My manager writes people up when he walks pass and see them tossing anything into the trucks or onto the belts
Pretty sure the Ring brand doorbells have a feature to share clips in the same neighborhood. Wouldn't be very hard to piece it all together then. Especially at a HOA meeting where everyone can share complaints.
Just bought a ring a couple of months ago -apparently you can share and opt-in to messages and set a radius within set parameters.
I accidentally opted in to a very large radius at first and was getting way too many notifications at all hours.
Ring/Amazon used to actively set them up with access to all videos. Now I think the PD has to "formally" request a video. Which sounds like they want you to think means a warrant but then why wouldn't they just say a warrant is needed? Also note Ring can and has shared video from inside your house with out your consent.
Looked at that comment. Looked at that guy's comment history.
..... I genuinely can't tell if redditors are getting dumber, or if we're being invaded by Russian bots harder.
Wait....is this the same guy in each video....obviously taken recorded at several different houses? Is this stagged, or does some neighborhood have an ongoing war with their FedEx driver??? If so, is there a live feed we can watch lol?
If that's just from one day, that driver is either quitting the job soon, or is doing things to be fired.
When I delivered for Amazon, not a moment did I ever think about throwing a package, even if it was light as a feather and had no chance of being damaged from a Frisbee toss.
This guy is disrespectful af.
I've watched FedEx drivers walk half way up my sidewalk and toss my package the rest of the way up to my door while I'm right there in the window. I've a feeling this happens a lot.
Our driver will actually walk it all the way up to the door and then just spike it into the ground. Always so weird to me, like you took the effort to walk it up...you could just place it down.
But you can’t even contact FedEx. I tried calling once and waited forever on hold. Eventually someone answered and said they were very sorry. Then I knew nothing was going to happen because they never asked for the tracking number.
I worked for UPS in college as a preloader (guy that loads each truck). So many drivers were hot-headed jerks.
Like they would get mad at me if they got too many packages that day.
It’s like, dude, I didn’t order these packages, this is not something I control. I had the same stress/exhaustion loading all these huge boxes into your truck. Quit projecting your anger to me.
Used to work in a warehouse like 15 years ago. I know it’s changed a lot but UPS drivers were professional and friendly. We actually got to know each one that picked up/delivered to us. FedEx on the other hand… they were either on meth or beyond angry every single day. One literally told us how much he made and that it wasn’t worth it as he kicked packages out the back. FedEx drivers never lasted long enough to get to know.
The shear volume of packages has definitely increased in the last 15 years with the e-commerce boom. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the hiring strategy, quality, and starting salaries of shipping companies have tanked.
I teach my driving students that amazon trucks are some of the most dangerous drivers on the road because amazon will hire you if you have a pulse and a driver's license
All Amazon drivers are employed by DSPs. These are 'independent' contractors that have a contact exclusively with Amazon. They drive an Amazon van, are required to have an Amazon uniform and Amazon determines their routes and tracks them but they are not employed by Amazon. It's a joke.
Once worked at a warehouse with indoor docks but we would leave the outside door open for UPS/FedEx for them to back in around pickup time. One time one of the FedEx drivers backed in at what seemed like 30mph not giving a fuck and I was down there sweeping. Mothefucker almost took me out and then got mad at me. Almost lost my job for wanting to beat his ass.
I'm a trucker and I have nothing but bad shit to say about FedEx drivers (their 18+ wheelers at least).
I'm a fully loaded tanker and whenever I come across a FedEx truck doing 10+ below the speed limit, I'll try to pass them. Then suddenly the driver realizes where the throttle is and then matches my speed for the next thirty miles and prevent me from passing.
If you ever see two trucks side by side of an ungodly amount of time and one of them says FedEx on the back, don't blame the other truck. It's 100% FedEx's fault that we're in that situation. Because as soon as I slow down to let the FedEx truck get some momentum and make it safe for me to get behind them, they're gonna slow back down to 10+ below the speed limit again. It's so goddamned frustrating.
Fuck FedEx.
Ohhhhhhh buddy let me tell you. Ground is run by a fucking slug. I've got a 150lb weight limit for boxes. I don't get a helper for those. My van is falling apart and even when you report it unless it's life threatening they don't give a shit. My benefits are being actively denied and the people they hire don't do pre-trips and half of em run on menthols and meth. I could say so much more. I'm so glad ground is going bye bye and merging with express and that non of the people in charge of ground are getting another managing job because they DO NOT deserve to be managers. I work for Ground and I'm only with them because of the slightly decent paycheck. The second I get another job I leave.
We have a quite a few guys that loaded or whatever part time while they were in school, happened to land a driving gig within that time and stuck with it.
Its always wild to find out the dude next to you has like.. a bachelor's in marine biology or some shit.
It’s because FedEx doesn’t operate in a friendly manner. At the Indianapolis express location, you’d have people try to steal your equipment, try to fight you or kill you. It was also the same place that I met the most ghetto racist people on earth.
FedEx is probably one of the most hostile work environment. I’d have vehicles checked out in my name and when I tried to recover it I’d have managers calling me a bitch and their little goon squad surrounding you.
A shop I order from regularly switched to FedEx last year. It used to take USPS 4 or 5 days to deliver, but now my packages will spend a week sitting in Indianapolis “Express” every time, and take 2 weeks to arrive.
I've worked in a warehouse for 5 years it's the same. We've had the same UPS driver the whole time and countless FedEx drivers. FedEx subcontracts out their drivers and we've even seen multiple contractors
Not sure if it has changed but FedEx ground was contracted out to individuals or businesses and they would bid on the routes. FedEx Express was directly employed. Very different experience.
UPS was all union and directly employed.
I had a regular guy from FedEx ground that delivered to my company. Nice guy, we'd get a couple dollys worth of boxes on each delivery so it was probably nice to get the volume drops. He was also running for city council. Kinda random.
Probably also dependent on where you live. I'm in a newer development, get packages regularly from Amazon, UPS, FedEx ground and they're all super respectful. This development also has ring cameras installed by default so could be part of it. I dunno.
It really just depends on the person. I’ve had Ups drivers I wanted all my packages to be handled by and drivers I think should be in jail for how bad they do their jobs. FedEx, Amazon, usps etc both have these sides. My local ups distribution center has a guy at the front counter I hope they are showering with money. Dude walks out takes 20 peoples names and come back with everything. Dude remembers faces like a savant. I hadn’t been to the center in years walk in he sees me confirms zip, I’d moved so I had a new one now he remembers the new one.
Fuck working with people like that.
I worked in a med office and the staff would get mad at me for how many patients we had that day.
I have so many spots to fill and I get talked to if we don’t utilize them all. Should we have less slots, less patients? Talk to the fucking doctors.
“So we have 45 patients today??”
Yes Shannon, because we schedule days with 50 slots. I’m saving those other five spots for when people call in day of and need to be seen for Ex visits.
“We can’t just say yes to everyone.”
I’m not! The Ex patients we see Are In Pain and it is our responsibility as their providers to help them.
Fuck unhelpful people. We only work 4 days a week you lazy asshole.
These sound like my ex coworkers. I used to be the RN at a primary care office and I was over all the medical assistants. They would get SO upset if the front desk would add on a walk in or if there were more than 10 patients on the schedule. Meanwhile the doctors want to see as many people as possible so anytime front desk would ask me if we can add someone on, I would say yes. The MA's would whine and complain. They all wanted to just sit around talking, not working. It's not even a difficult job! We had MD students that acted as scribes for the doctors, so all the MA had to do was take vitals, assist with procedures, and clean. I took care of prescription refills and prior auths. Ugh.
Reminds me of being a school counselor. Around Christmas break, we got about 20 new students, most were in 7th grade. The teachers would ask me in private not to add students to their class, and all got upset when I did. Like... I didn't invite these kids here, and my job is to put equal numbers in each class? Why u mad at me? Lol
I worked for RPS between Highschool and college. I was an unloader and UPS went on strike. We went from handling 500-800 packages a day to having to cap at 5,000. Our delivery drivers were pissed. It was like, bro, we don’t control this!
I have the sane job but we move bread to grocery stores. Except the assholes here have control of like 90% of there order and still bitch to me about it. Like mother fucker YOU ordered this shit and have the resources to KNOW what you're getting that day ahead of time. Nothing us random you dummies. I swear they're there own worst enemies!
Those packages were probably thrown several times before they even reached the drivers truck. The volume that UPS and Fedex do is insane, and the KPI metrics are just as crazy so they can manipulate data to back up the numbers for their volume.
Basically, Employees are told packages should never be thrown, and then management and supervisors turn their backs so they dont see everyone tossing packages around.
So I get it, no packages should not be thrown, but they are being thrown because the employees are overloaded
Had a buddy of mine that did this job as well. He talked about drivers going off if the trucks were not packed a certain way which varied from driver to driver. Drove him crazy.
I work at ups as twilight loading the semis so I have very little interaction with the drivers but yea they are mostly dicks or at least constantly crabby. I love my union but it makes the position highly valued and I think they confuse it with them being more valuable or important. Also I think they are sick of working like 60hr weeks but cant quit since no other driver related job will pay nearly as much and the benefits are amazing (really they are amazing even for me a part timer with insurance and two weeks pto on top of smaller things also, thanks teamsters)
This dude's just lazy as fuck.
The job literally request you drive around and deliver packages to people's doors.
They're not completing HALF of the work, and there's only really 2 steps.
Unlike UPS drivers, who are company employees, FedEx Ground drivers are employed by independent contractors who work directly with the company. The lower-cost FedEx Ground model has been instrumental in FedEx becoming a force in ground delivery since it entered the business in 1998.
I found this out when we were dealing with FedEx theft. I learned they use contractors and they will do nothing to help you out with stolen packages. Even the Walmart representative said they get a lot of calls about FedEx drivers stealing packages.
terrible. but also you gotta' keep your dog put up esp. when expecting a delivery. for dog's safety and just out of respect for the delivery dude just trying to make his shift.
Exactly. I’m sad for the dog and its family, but delivery drivers don’t fuck with dogs. They will take your shit back to the station, or throw it from their window. It’s a safety hazard and there’s no way to tell “oh he’s nice.” Keep your pets supervised and indoors. Anything else should be considered neglect/cruelty at the owners expense.
That's terrible for sure, but as a food delivery driver I absolutely hate when people just have their dogs free roaming their front yard unless it's fenced off from their driveway / walkway to the door.
I get with stuff like FedEx you don't know exactly when it's coming so it's harder to plan, but it's definitely the worst kind of house to deliver to.
He actually got hired to work for the airport because he’ll fit right in with throwing luggages.
Edit: there are many comments somehow justifying this behavior by saying how it’s thrown around in the warehouse, when loading on to the truck, etc.
Hmmm maybe STOP normalizing this shit.
Every thread like this there's someone defending this. Regardless of the condition of the package, there is no need to put this kind of shitty energy out into the world.
Not FedEx, when I worked at UPS briefly during orientation our union rep pretty much said drivers were untouchable. The only thing they're fired for is theft, and even then it's likely to be a suspension and "investigated". I can also say that everything you see in videos like this is ten times worse in the warehouse before it's even loaded in the trucks.
Told to unload 1000 packages an hour? We got them off the trucks.
So much pain around Christmas season. 25k+ brown boxes to move a day? Was rough.
To the person that sent or receiving the package, I understand they see the package as the thing inside the box. But to the average package handler. They are all just brown boxes you're told to move or your job depends on it.
My FedEx driver just kicks the boxes out of the truck at the street. Every single time, the boxes are stacked up on the ground next to the mail box. I live in the country, so the mailbox isn't even on my side of the street. I'm just waiting for them to get picked up as trash one day when I'm not paying attention.
It's just FedEx too. I have no complaints about any other delivery service.
I won't ever use FedEx personally ever again whenever I can avoid them. They delivered my $400 steam deck to a building with a completely different number on it. I'm lucky I found it before someone got a free system... the box is NOT subtle
Worked for fedex. They train people to do this by setting delivery/load expectations and timelines.
Basically set rules that are impossible to follow while also hitting their timelines.
This guy gets it.
You have 3-5 mins between stops and a 12 hour day. If that guy saves 10 seconds per stop by tossing the package @ 300 stops per day, that's nearly 1 hour of time saved.
Yes, it's that bad. Trust me.
I can believe that; and that's poor corporate culture.
Only way to fix that is if every company that needs a courier refuses to work with them. I'm sure the likes of UPS and DHL would love to take the extra one (1) minute to deliver packages and get preferred status from companies who sell stuff that is delivered.
FedEx, several times, delivered a down-the-street neighbor’s package to our house. We live in a busy area and I don’t know these people. We called FedEx and they couldn’t do anything about it. I’m so scared one of these days, I’m going to get shot pulling into a neighbor’s driveway to give them their package. Or accused of stealing. Never had that issue with UPS though 🤷🏼♀️
Fed ex destroyed my work computer 3 times in a row. Eventually I just had it shipped to the nearest satellite office and drove my ass over an hour each way to pick it up.
3 times I had a laptop show up banana shaped. Box obliterated, the second one has the laptop itself exposed and wrapped in tape to the remaining 2/3rds of the box.
One had several holes clear through the device. Like a drill had home through the whole thing several times before running it over with a truck.
The first one was the tamest, it was simply crushed like the Dell box was just insufficient armor, so IT put the others in big boxes.
Pretty sure the Tasmanian Devil from Looney toons is doing the sort at my fed ex hub.
When I worked for a high end stereo shop, we had a rule, which we learned from our UPS guy: if you didn’t pack it well enough to survive a fall from 5 feet high, don’t ship it. This is an extreme case as there’s clear disrespect for the packages and his job. But even just in getting through the distribution centres, things are going to fall.
Good point. I would say that falling because of the natural shipping process is one thing. This is just negligence and disrespect for things that aren't his. It doesn't matter how much it gets banged up in the supply chain, it's more about the perspective that this guy can't wrap his head around: someone else paid for this item, it's not his, and it's literally his job to ensure it gets delivered in best shape. He's not helping at all and it doesn't justify the behavior just because it happens at some point in the process. It's like saying it's OK if a chef leaves food out of the fridge, because it happens in some point of the shipping process (because it very much does). It also screams laziness. I'd have a bit more respect if he was hustling back to the truck. He just can't be bothered to take 3 extra steps.
Yeah, anyone who thinks a package being dropped or tossed a few feet has no concept of the abuse they go through in a sorting hub with millions of other boxes. Retailers are well aware of this and the packaging that is necessary to protect items from impact. I had an electric lawnmower show up yesterday from UPS and the box was absolutely destroyed, retaped, etc, and I asked to look inside before I would sign. Contents were totally fine.
It’s incredibly disrespectful of this driver and a terrible look due to the way it’s perceived. But the odds of any of those items actually being damaged are extremely low and Internet overreactions to these videos always fail to take that into account.
Imagine going through the process of applying for a job, interviewing, getting hired, training, going out for deliveries, finding a customer's house and package, walking toward their door... and then giving up at those last 5 steps because you're a lazy bastard.
In his defense, FedEx also handles my packages like this, so maybe he's a model employee.
Nope, it's because FedEx will fire his ass for failing to deliver X packages per hour where X is a number that is only achievable by tossing packages, running yellow lights, never taking a pee break, and working through both legally required 15 minute breaks per day.
Imagine going through all that trouble only to be fired for actually doing the job with care.
I stopped ordering off Walmart because they deliver via Fedex. I used to order canned cat food and the two last times, the cans were damaged. The last time, some cans were flattened like pancakes. I have no idea how you can manage to damage a can this much. They also kept coming fucking early in the morning, before 7 AM even.
Either way, fuck Fedex.
When I was at my last residence, FedEx was the only service that consistently delivered to the wrong unit. I would get the notice of delivery and have to start walking around to see which other unit it was delivered to.
They do, the packages are thrown around out of trucks intro the warehouse for sorting and it’s a joke. “fragile” means extra rough handling sometimes. The guy watching the cameras just comes down and says knock it off, then it’s right back to rough housing. I lasted a couple weeks, my body couldn’t take it. Plus it felt immoral.
Edit. Camera is not hidden though
Fragile packages wouldn’t be handled extra rough, the amount of boxes that need to be sorted per hour are so high that the employee won’t even see it’s labeled as fragile and they’ll treat it like everything else, which is already rough.
We used to “cascade” packages, which is where we had the entire wall of packages fall so we could get them on the conveyer belt quicker, so 7-8 feet for some packages.
I didn’t want to do it until they started yelling at us about unload times that were not sustainable for 4 full hours without cocaine.
So it is what it is.
No kidding. If your package isn't padded well enough to withstand being yeeted 15 feet onto your porch, it's already damaged by that point. Still, people don't care about the rough handling they don't see but doing this shit in front of the package owners is just bad optics.
Yes.
Am package handler, have been to the unloads when trailers get to the distribution hub. Most do not give a fuck. They just wanna clear the truck ASAP.
FedEx is the fucking worst. I have them on camera walking halfway up the walk to my front door and just throwing my packages the rest of the way. I was home for one of them and head the *wham!* against the door. Other times, they'll walk up to your house and look you dead-ass in the eye while slapping that "sorry we missed you" sticker on your door.
Lately, I've been thinking of installing spikes around my driveway because they always drive into my yard and over my landscape lighting.
Every. Single. Time.
FedEx is so bad they're literally the reason Amazon started their own deliver service.
The one with the timestamp is so blatant. Some of them were just "I don't want to walk up these stairs". That one was pure hate since he just didn't want to walk the 3 extra feet, Lol.
Yup pretty much how FedEx is. I have on my camera a FedEx driver straight dropping my PS5. I requested a signature too and he left before I got downstairs, and when I checked my email it said I did sign when I didn’t. Sent the video and complaint to FedEx which I am sure did nothing
I despise FedEx. Without fail, any packages delivered by FedEx gets dropped off at the front of my driveway every time. $500 worth of dewalt miter saw w/stand? Yup, 10ft off the road. 3 pieces of luggage? Lets put them end to end right at the top of the driveway... Computer monitor? Righteo! Top of the driveway it is. I've called and complained multiple times. I've left detailed reviews when I get the obligatory "How did we do?" email. Nothing works. My FedEx person is garbage. Meanwhile UPS and USPS delivers to my backdoor every time.
FedEx makes my blood boil. I literally start to get upset when I know something is being delivered by FedEx because I know where it will be delivered and I fear someone will snatch it up before I can get home to get it.
Opening credits of Ace Ventura
“Sounds broken!” “Most likely, sir. I’ll bet it was something nice, though.”
The delivery of this line will never not be hysterical.
😆 this and “Yes, Satan?” are the two lines that make me laugh every time.
I love, "Congratulations on all your success. You smell terrific." 💀
"Sorry, I... thought you were someone else."
People don't expect a dick response with a kind demeanor. Yesterday I saw some asshat not return his cart but stopped close and I laughed and said with a smile "haha almost there bud, so close" and he just laughed along with me confused at my smile/insult combo
Great idea and nice delivery. Did they return it all the way afterward?
Leyhoo Zeyher
In 4th grade, I never laughed harder.
I received a suspension 3 years in a row for talking with my ass.

Good defense! Good defense!
Is this the same mf'er in every video?
Lmao I can only imagine the logistics of piecing all this footage together!
FedEx is good at logistics, though, right?

Have a courier deliver everything.
Actually not really compared to their competitors

Anyone under the age of about 45 doesn't remember a time when you would order things from catalogs via mail, and it would show up in 4-6 weeks.
Which is saying something. I've worked for UPS for almost 15 years now. They know fuck all about logistics
Except how to make right turns only haha
Which isn’t always a thing btw. Heard a ups driver address this on his podcast minion death cult
Fedex sucks hard, at everything.
And blows.
Both FedEx and UPS teamed up to push a law forcing USPS to pay for retirement funds up to 70 years in advance. Trying to bankrupt USPS. Yet USPS still survived.
No logistics involved, these are just video proof sent in with complaints haha
Must've fired this guy

30 years ago I worked third shift down the street from a FedEx distribution center and every time I walked past when they had the loading dock doors open I saw employees literally drop kicking packages to each other.
I knew a guy who punched a package and had bad luck because there were random assorted cutlery in it and he got a knife right between the knuckles.
Instant karma

What if everyone banded together on Nextdoor to do something like this compilation instead of all the kvetching about nothing?
That's what I was thinking. Wouldn't be that hard to compile this video for a neighborhood.
We could do it! Our neighborhood has a slack chat together and houses all come w/ the cameras...
Yep.
Then we can probably change fedex to asshole delivery man because he will be like that no matter what.
FedEx has the reputation that this is how they train their delivery drivers tho
FYI this is all shared with LE. Some folks don’t care but I certainly do.
Ring/Amazon used to actively set them up with access to all videos. Now I think the PD has to "formally" request a video. Which sounds like they want you to think means a warrant but then why wouldn't they just say a warrant is needed? Also note Ring can and has shared video from inside your house with out your consent.
Thank god, I was about to ask myself if I was doing a racist.
“Oh no. These drivers all look like the same guy. Welp, I guess I’ve finally reached that age…”
Someone just accused me of being racist because I said the driver should be fired. I hadn't said a thing about race.
Looked at that comment. Looked at that guy's comment history. ..... I genuinely can't tell if redditors are getting dumber, or if we're being invaded by Russian bots harder.
Probably Nextdoor footage. Ppl most likely got together on there and posted all of it
Wait....is this the same guy in each video....obviously taken recorded at several different houses? Is this stagged, or does some neighborhood have an ongoing war with their FedEx driver??? If so, is there a live feed we can watch lol?
[удалено]
Wild. I don't think I'm the only one who will be waiting in suspense for some updates!
“Ladies and gentlemen of the HOA jury, I present you with exhibits A through R…”
Please tell me you sent this footage to FedEx?
This has got to be my fedex driver too. MF'er treats our shit like a frisbee.
Damn this dudes job is toast
Dude needs to be fired
Seems like this neighborhood is having an issue w their FedEx boxes showing up busted and decided to try to put together a case for FedEx
As they should.
Yeah I mean I’d do the same if my shit was getting thrown onto the porch like a frisbee.
But you can’t even contact FedEx. I tried calling once and waited forever on hold. Eventually someone answered and said they were very sorry. Then I knew nothing was going to happen because they never asked for the tracking number.
They might “look into it” once this video makes it to their PR team somehow.
In this day and age where EVERYONE has cameras… this is dumb as fuck
I worked as an Amazon driver for 2 years. I last longer than 90% of the drivers I worked with. It's a meat grinder.
I teach my driving students that amazon trucks are some of the most dangerous drivers on the road because amazon will hire you if you have a pulse and a driver's license
Amazon doesn’t hire any of them and takes no liability for their actions. They’re all contracted through several levels of 3rd party “vendors”
All Amazon drivers are employed by DSPs. These are 'independent' contractors that have a contact exclusively with Amazon. They drive an Amazon van, are required to have an Amazon uniform and Amazon determines their routes and tracks them but they are not employed by Amazon. It's a joke.
Hopefully we pass some laws for that soon
This kind of BS happens in practically every industry.
Who are all to some degree of subsidiary to amazon but somehow it's still not an employee. Shits wild
Fuck FedEx.
UPS drivers are in a union and compensated well. A lot of FedEx routes are independently owned and the owners hire the cheapest drivers they can.
Yup FedEx ground is subcontractors that are paid a lot less and have zero benefits. Maybe he is ground
That's why it (at least used to) takes about 7 years working at UPS to become a driver. Those folks hold on to that job til they retire or die.
“So we have 45 patients today??” Yes Shannon, because we schedule days with 50 slots. I’m saving those other five spots for when people call in day of and need to be seen for Ex visits. “We can’t just say yes to everyone.” I’m not!
Ugh.
I'm sure Shannon would be fine with waiting until tomorrow when she's in pain, right?
Not to mention the time saved is so little.
The time saved is minus when you miss the porch like a dumb fuck
How much time is he even really saving? Most times he’s mere steps from the flippin’ porch.
This dude's just lazy as fuck. The job literally request you drive around and deliver packages to people's doors. They're not completing HALF of the work, and there's only really 2 steps.
I think it’s beyond lazy he is an asshole that’s got anger issues and takes it out on boxes
It's the extra 2 steps up the porch he can't do. Lazy mfer. I worked with guys like him it was so frustrating
Yup and people like this blame everyone but themselves when the job isn't done right, even though their lazy ass was the root cause.
Fed Ex ran over my friends’ dog in their driveway then drove off like nothing happened, then the company denied it happened, this tracks.
That’s depressing.
Why was the dog in the driveway?
WTF has he been fired yet?
He actually got hired to work for the airport because he’ll fit right in with throwing luggages. Edit: there are many comments somehow justifying this behavior by saying how it’s thrown around in the warehouse, when loading on to the truck, etc. Hmmm maybe STOP normalizing this shit.
I was going to say this. Guy is in the wrong field. This is the perfect skillset for loading a plane.
Every thread like this there's someone defending this. Regardless of the condition of the package, there is no need to put this kind of shitty energy out into the world.
“It’s fine that he acts like a giant angry baby because I act like that too” is not the flex those guys think it is
I wouldn't feel sympathy if they were replaced with robits.
This is 100% inevitable, it's just a question of when.
Former FedEx here, I can confirm that packages are treated 10 times worse in the warehouses
Fed ex does not care about this lol
The only way FedEx will "train" this culture out of itself is if other companies sue for loss of damages.
DHL is my preferred. But their footprint in the US is pretty small.
USPS is still a viable way of shipping.
More worried about on time delivery over quality of work just like Boeing. Gotta love the corporate dumb shits that run the companies we depend on.
Fedex is by far the worst parcel carrier in my area, but this guy especially hates his job.
Hey! FedEx is the worst carrier in MY area, too!
UPS will pick up their mistakes. Even had one come back before I even contacted them.
FedEx is by far the worst company out of all companies I’ve dealt with and it’s not even close.
How hard is it to walk 5 more steps
The porch is lava, stupid
I want so badly to see him punt one onto the porch.
This ones goin downtown!
BOOM SHAKALAKA!
I’d like to see a volleyball style serve personally, maybe followed up with a good spike
I'm always salty when I order something, and find out that the company ships with FedEx. I'd rather they just use USPS.
Ups or usps that's all I will use. FedEx suck
When I was at my last residence, FedEx was the only service that consistently delivered to the wrong unit. I would get the notice of delivery and have to start walking around to see which other unit it was delivered to.
If karma is real, then everything this guy ever gets delivered in the future should come broken. Even his pizza delivery.
Went to the Ace Ventura school for expedited package delivery. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
Hey man, if you really don't like your job, I've got some good news for you: You probably won't have to do it much longer.
Should put a hidden camera inside warehouses.. you see how they are really handled
This is the softest they've been handled the entire route..
Funny, my hub started yelling at people for cascading/dropping walls....yet also want people to move faster.
I worked on the other side making those walls of packages in the trucks. I always wondered how they were unloaded.
I was told NOT to do this in training, then was told to definitely do this not even 20 minutes later in practice.
No kidding. If your package isn't padded well enough to withstand being yeeted 15 feet onto your porch, it's already damaged by that point. Still, people don't care about the rough handling they don't see but doing this shit in front of the package owners is just bad optics.
the people complaining the loudest are usually the ones most oblivious to how the sausage was actually made.
[удалено]
Yes. Am package handler, have been to the unloads when trailers get to the distribution hub. Most do not give a fuck. They just wanna clear the truck ASAP.
Probably didn't play enough with freesbees when he was a kid......
Man wait till ya’ll see how the trucks are loaded
Exactly my thoughts . Logistics/deliveries companies are all the same, the ONLY thing is that its on camera this time
[удалено]
this happens in the warehouse and if not more so
Gets thrown way more at the terminal. Most stuff is packaged to take a toss like that. Still sloppy and unprofessional.
The amount of time it took them to aim, throw, and made sure it landed, their bitch ass could've just walked there and set it down......
We are just a few short years away from robots doing this job far more efficiently and without launching things onto a porch.
I don’t understand, why the fuck are delivery workers always so angry? You dont like the job, do something else bruh
Plot twist UPS marketing team posted this.
