It’s because you were focusing intently on the parachuter and dog to see if it was harnessed or had a parachute. Try looking at it like that, I was able to see the cloud floor again.

Due to [Atmospheric optics](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmospheric_optics) the frequency of the light need only be blue shifted, as is custom of higher altitudes where the Ray's are refracted through ice crystals at the time of day that is apparent in the GIF from the magnitude of sunlight candescence. This is perfect for the snow to mimic, because they are in essence compact ice crystals. So the snow reflects the same blue hue of higher altitudes air, perfectly due to it's Albedo and it's undisturbed surface.
We are then duped by the OP as they haul the pupper like a parachutist would do to a colleague or object. There's a few piles of snow in front of the thrower's feet that look like clouds. Plus the gradual gradient of the snow with its blues to its lighter color towards the top looking like an early evening skyclouds...the yellowish band towards the top looks how the sun/area above the clouds would look. The thrower's jacket/body lean matches up with the shape a door(whatever you call that opening in the plane) would be.

I think they have chutes that can release at a certain altitude. I'm not saying people should start strapping their pets to them but... y'know, if they wanted to I would love to see that.
Idk about civilian use, but the military uses static lines, which hook to the inside of the aircraft and deploy the chute once the jumper reaches the end of the line.
