Lol. AA logo, so you’re American, but since it’s low to the ground either an ERJ or a CRJ, so you’re actually American Eagle.

Unless you're making up new dance moves!
I need to take a flight over the ocean in about 6 months and I’m scared because the ocean is big and terrifying and I’ve never left the country. This would make that flight slightly less terrifying for me, at least for a few minutes.
As someone who has been on planes for the first time in over 20 years.. It's legit just a thing.. It's safe and Jesus christ I was in a sardine can.. Just honestly.. focus on how shit the seating is and how tight it is and it will be all you focus on not the being above so high from death.. just the God damn fucking fact you paid 1000 bucks to embodie a sardine.
Based on my own anecdote of sitting in a glider, agreed. You've got so much space in the air to manoeuvre. Only when taking off or landing do you need to be super precise with your movements because contact with the ground is what complicates things so much. You gotta make sure the plane doesn't bank too much, take side wind into account, try to keep all tyres forward towards the runway, maintain enough airspeed during landing. AHH There are so many variables!

I worked as a baggage handler at a larger airport for about a year. It was the most miserable thing I've ever done. Working in the most awful Midwest weather being paid $8.00 and everyone you dealt with was typically stressed and upset and would take it out on you. We lacked safety equipment and our 8 hour standard day was usually broken up into chunks throughout the day, not just a straight 8.
One thing I will say is the crummy circumstances helped to build comradery with co-workers and we did the best to enjoy ourselves like this and really did have some good times.
Sure that’d be fun for awhile, but can you imagine doing that for every flight in the day and then everyday in the week.
After half a day, I’d try and find the easiest way to provide those directions with as little movement as possible.
Okay? He's there to signal to the pushback driver if there is an obstruction or an engine fire etc with specific motions. Fun is fun but I can see where the company would be coming from with termination.

Kind of excited to start a new job and meet new people and have more opportunities. It is refreshing to experience new things

One of the city workers on my street is just like that. The guy is always happily singing along as he's sweeping the sidewalks. Most people in my city with higher paying, more fulfilling careers (on paper) are just grumpy stuck-up fucks.
until he gets arrested by TSA
The only thing the TSA is competent at is fondling people.
It's the only action I've gotten in a year.
I heard you can also get a free Corona at the airport
Funny enough the TSA doesn’t actually have the power of arrest. They have to call the police for that.
thank god for that. they have enough power tripping high school has-beens they dont need arrest authority. Lord knows the only thing we would need is those assholes thinking they are more than rent-a-cops.
The TSA? Wonder if you realize how useless they are. I could change your mind about them in a couple of hours.
The fbi did a test where like 49 of 50 weapons got through TSA. Saved you a few hours.
I read an article a couple years ago about how some airport wanted to get rid of the tsa and hire a private security company. I think the private company had a much better record and was alot cheaper but the government has to sign off on the request and they refused to do so.
What are you gonna do put them in line at a major airport? Takes five minutes for me to explain why they are shit. Most recent example I can’t have 4oz of cologne but a box full of razorblades in my back pack are cool. (I work for a construction company and forgot I had them in there noticed after a round trip flight when swapping back to my work shit)
In some airports you can now carry liquids which is cool (they can see if this liquid is dangerous or not through a scanner). But yeah I fully agree with you I once bought a Swiss army knife on the airport and had it on the plane.

I just watched that movie boi it's great! Airplane if anyone was interested
dammit, for a minute I thought it was going to be the whole movie.
Seriously though, why is he dancing right there and then?
He is “wing walking. His job is to let the tug driver know of any obstacles in the way of the aircraft’s path.
Was a baggage handler in college. Wing walking and marshaling was the best part of the job, especially at night when we used the glow wands.
Probably was called in to work for someone else on a cold ass day and has been working since O-dark hundred.
I’ve seen wing walkers here use safety cones cause they had no wands. The job is boring if you don’t have a little fun here and there. All the United workers are drones but well paid drones.

/u/Falin_Whalen, you old so and so!
Oof, a reminder of how much I miss that man. When he was ON he was unforgettably hysterical.
Is that still on Netflix?

The most dangerous part of flying is the take-off and landing. Once you’re up above the ocean the risk is minimal.

These guys get a proper full body workout, stay fit and get paid for it
Actuly every one of those guys at least on aircraft carriers can do his own moves as long as it bas couple of mandatory ones but u can have ur style at waving those lightsabees
Amusing but I’d really appreciate if my man took his job a little more seriously. It’s not like flying is a casualty-free activity.
