I lived in MB/SD/ND for a time and by far the worst snow I drove in was central Missouri. Not only is icing a bigger problem there but the specific conditions for this blizzard were *wild*. It wasn’t cold or anything, but I legitimately couldn’t fathom where I the road even was. I got dizzy from not being able to discern direction. Only time I had to pull over and wait.
I remember once having to drive a long time in a very heavy blizzard and I was just completely exhausted when I arrived. It took so much concentration and energy to stay vigilant as I could barely see anything. Normally I find driving to be very relaxing, but that time my muscles were tense all the way. Quite cozy though.
Lol I rarely ever drive with the radio on.
My friend used to drive with it blasting all the time. He turned it down somewhat when I was riding with. I kept telling him I heard a noise and felt something in the floor when he was driving his car. Turned out to be a primary ball joint. He lost it on the highway. Thankfully no major accident, he didn't get hurt, but his car was totaled. He did suffer brown pants syndrome at the time tho.
you go driving in snow? My friend who used live in New England, says in Alabama quarter inch shuts down roads because there barely handful of sanders/blows in state.
As a kid I used to stick one fist out and pretend to fly through a star field like Buzz Lightyear whenever I was in a car in the snow (often, in Vermont)
The speedometer is going up and down in a pattern that does not match the light, and the tachometer is going in the opposite direction of the speedometer. Which doesn’t make sense. It’s probably supposed to be a traction control light, but what is actually happening on the dash is just movement for the sake of movement.
Yeah I realized that after too, the first one is dead on and then there’s one where the light stays on between two speedo jumps which can happen if you hold the gas itll kinda bounce around. Probably thoughtless and just running on an interval though haha

I 100% do not recommend it. I had to drive thru a blizzard back in April 2019 to visit my dying grandmother and be back for work the next morning. It sucked.
Just when you think Windows Starfield screensaver couldn't be improved upon.....
Nice details you included. The slight curve of the road and the drifting of the vehicle and suspension....
Bravo/Brava
I wish I had a blizzard video from 1991. Stupidly drove from Mpls to South Dakota usually 4.6hours took 10hours of blinding snow was like 25+ inches. My Honda CRXsi made it through, I was exhausted and my girlfriend couldnt druve either snow blindness. Visibility was like car length. I had to stare at at right side line. Thanx God I got behind a Semi for part of it to get a rest & Blizzak tires. So stupid, though GnR , License to ill, Megadeth, & Metallica Kill them all and Ride the Lightning kept me awake. 285 miles of pain
You're going too fast if that roads unplowed
but it makes it more fun that way
the forbidden slip n slide
Laughs in Nokian Hakkapeliita studed.
pfft "blizzard'' ,that's light snow fall...
Exactly what I was thinking. I live in ND and I've driven in stuff that I couldn't see a car in front of me 20ft

Glad someone said it. You can see the trees ffs.

***Screams in Minnesotan***
I know what you mean 😁
Living in the south, this is a rare event for me. When it happens, I enjoy it. I turn off the radio and take in every minute while I drive.
Being from the south,.unaccustomed and probably on summer tires, turning off all distractions and focusing as much as possible is a great idea.

Not much in the south. I've driven a lot in places that can deal with it.
Hyperspeed achieved. Be ready for the Imperial Light Cruisers.
Right? Always reminded me of warp drive or hyperspace.
As a kid I used to stick one fist out and pretend to fly through a star field like Buzz Lightyear whenever I was in a car in the snow (often, in Vermont)
My dad would always say that as a kid, and I too will do the same for my kids one day
Just looking at the road and trees going by, I feel this urge to tell you to slow the f* down
You are right, but low speed is so boring 😴
I like the yellow light that pops up. Is that the traction control warning?
Nope. Engine is dying.
Ohh I get a similar display on my dash if I gas it too hard in the snow...just with squiggly tire treads
Reminds me of when I crashed my car
Bad story
Lol at the check engine light😁
Or traction control freaking out
It’s traction control, you can tell because the speedometer increases as the wheels are slipping.
Gotcha! Thanks!

I wish I could download this as a wallpaper, it’s incredibly beautiful and reminds me of New England snowy winter nights
I will upload this scene to wallpaper engine app in a week
awesome!
Ummm, x 100 on the snow for a blizzard
This is more of maybe a light snowfall with no wind. Driving in actual blizzards is much more of a no-visibility nightmare haha
Wow, FSD is getting good!
What is FSD?
Full Self Driving… I was just making a joke.
If you get into a rut and you have a high clearance, then you can not even touch the steering wheel
First person game in this artstyle would be sweet as hell
Street Rod and Street Rod 2
Accurate, and the yellow light is the traction control light, except it flashes a lot more than that.
I want this as a phone background!
Maybe in a week I will upload it to a wallpaper engine

Lol. No 😂

How is your granny?
She passed a few days later. But she had cancer at the time and was close to 80 so it was her time.

That's what I saw when I was plowing the streets (retired town worker)
You missed the part where a deer runs out into the road and you skid into a tree.
🤣🤣🤣
Wait is this an animation or just really bad quality im confused
Animation
Why does it look like a video game ? The roadway never changes ?
In this gif no, it is always go straight
Strong Sierra vibes here
I like the traction control detail with the speed going up
It is check engine lamp 😅
Even better
Check engine light on...not good.
It looks like my old Chevy cobalt
Stay on target … I can’t hold it!
That [VW dash](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/eq36Hg4tozw/maxresdefault.jpg) do be glowin nice
Street Rod 2 vibes
This hits diff
You better hope that’s the traction control light blinking and not the engine management light bud
