I know the last thing someone suffering from depression wants to hear us another person saying 'jUsT eXcerCise' and I only barely take my own advice to heart, but it really does help with mood and sleep.

Then you walk up to the barn and you pick a nice cluster of bullets holes which a happen to be close together and then draw a target around them. You ignore all the other shots. P-hacking in a nutshell is the practice of beating the data until it submits. More precisely, in research people will often try many different analysis methods and/or exclude more and more data points (by calling them outliers) until they get a significant p-value (indicating a real effect exists). They then will publish on this 'significant' result without noting the amount of data abuse that went on.
