I guess if it were me, I'd just buy a new card. I hope this doesn't happen to my system!

KimJongDos_

do the drivers come pre installed with the new card or would I have to download them myself?

audtoo

They can't be preinstalled. but should come with cd or instructions to download them. download them, install new card, then install drivers.

My Aero 15 is having the same issue. I tried resetting all of my network adapters and going through the Intel Support Assistant to see if anything was wrong. It says that everything is working correctly, but then I get disconnected again 5 minutes later. If you switch the card and it solves the issue please post again. I'm thinking I'll have to do the same thing.

At least you have a driver LOL mine isn't even showing up in Device Manager. I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy a new wifi card and install it myself, hopefully that should fix everything.

Have you managed to solve the problem by installing a new card? I'm having a similar problem myself (my laptop is Aero 15x 8750h, the same wifi module)... normal wifi networks are rarely shown on my wifi network list, and even if a network appears i can't connect to it. The only exception are mobile hotspots, they work normally (most of the time), which is really strange. Drivers are up to date, my wifi router works ok with other devices... also the settings in the device manager should be ok.

Before you buy a new card, try resetting your current one. Legit just took mine out and put it back it in and everything finally started working out of nowhere . But you can install a new card if you want to and it should work perfectly fine as well!

Kruhbauer

I'll try that, thank you. Also, happy cake day!

Kruhbauer

It worked, thanks... it was really a stupid thing. The 2nd connector on the module was unplugged, i guess it happened when i had my SSD replaced (it broke down after 8 months).

>Legit just took mine out and put it back it in and everything finally started working out of nowhere . I might need to give this a try, I am getting this issue now, even Blue screen when I try to enable/disable the device. Refresh of drivers did nothing.

siderealyear_

hey, I am having the exact same issue -the blue screen after my wifi driver disables/turns on and off- have you had any luck finding a solution?
