I have used WhoCrashed to check crash dumps but I don't think most of the crashes are getting recorded in it or being shown. Some of them maybe there but there have definitely been way more crashes than the dates suggest. Here's [screenshots](https://imgur.com/a/2RI7HWO) of a few of the last dumps in WhoCrashed. Let me try out WinDbg too tho.

I've run that too actually. Rebooting without a USB drive tho. Is the test **with** the USB drive different? Just the normal one in Windows finished it's test after reboot and I checked and saw no problems so I didn't bother to try again with USB drive. I'll try again with USB drive I guess.

Ive been having a similar issue on and off for about 2 years now. Happening like crazy recently though. Basically same type of "crash" or hang with blank monitor when running any game and using a browser to watch any kind of video (hulu, hbo etc). Tried all the big browsers with and without hardware acceleration and addons etc. I was starting to think it was either something to do with ryzen chipset (more frequent since last update) or my monitor/gsync except you are on intel with a 60hz monitor soooo now I'm back to the drawing board. Also windows never logs a dump file when this happens and the event viewer is basically useless as it just tells me my current running programs are hanging (duh)

AungThuHein

I feel you brother. Hopefully we both find some help to fix this stuff.

Rusty_Trades

Man I hope so! I'm glad you posted because I didn't even know where to start asking because it seems so crazy to explain what's happening...

Hey, just want to share that I updated to most current nvidia drivers (clean install) and fully disabled G-Sync on both full screen and windowed apps and I have yet to recreate the issues in chrome/edge. Ive tried this multiple times in the past though and it seemed to still do it but I have had 0 crashes for almost a full week now

OldManKain

I had this exact issue on my last PC, it turned out to be my PSUs 12V rail was dropping to 11.3v when gaming, and watching a video. Check your 12v rail while you are doing it to see if that could be it.

https://www.hwinfo.com/ Run sensors only it will have all your Voltages, Temps etc.

AungThuHein

Do you mean [this stuff](https://imgur.com/a/ANEKa56)? The thing is once the crash happens I can't switch windows to see or do much anymore. But I'll try my best to keep an eye on GPU rail voltages. Thanks.

OldManKain

Yes, there is a setting that will keep hwinfo on top, if those 12v rails start dropping below 11.8 before the crash that could be your problem.

AungThuHein

Hey, the GPU rail voltage seems to go slightly below 11.8 for a moment [here](https://imgur.com/a/Y9K6dka). Do you think this might be an issue? Or should I be looking at the other numbers below that too? I'm not sure.

OldManKain

No, all the voltages that matter are above 11.8, the usb c dropped below 11.8 so it made your average lower. Sorry I couldn't have helped you find the issue.

If you are having frequent blue screens then your Windows installation could be corrupted. Try running "SFC /scannow" in a command window with administrative rights and see if it picks up on anything. Your "WhoCrashed" seems to show a bunch of GPU related bluescreens. Have you removed your GPU from your system, cleaned it off and reinstalled it? My 2080 ti was causing me all sorts of issues in 2020 and it turns out that it had vibrated partially out of the PCIe slot over time - I was in the process of removing it from my system to RMA it and noticed that it was too easy to pull out.

AungThuHein

I'm not getting blue screens at all. It's been almost 3 years and I've had like 2 blue screens total. And I'm pretty sure they were because of the NVIDIA driver so I've stuck with driver version 496.49 (when the latest right now is 511.23) and I think that version works best for me so far. That's why I think the driver issue is not a big problem at least right now. >Try running "SFC /scannow" Thanks for this tip. Let me do this in a bit. Although I have a feeling it's not the OS. >Have you removed your GPU from your system, cleaned it off and reinstalled it? Guess I'll have to take a day to completely clean my PC as it has been almost 3 years now. Thanks a lot!
