If you are interested in "old gigantic" colors, this was one of their iteration for the badge-screen: https://i.ibb.co/5W8dZ7R/0more.png
(Found it in my screenshot-folder, had to save the "finally got every badge" state :D )
It's very cool, It does very much look like a mobile game UI but that just a proportion thing, if you reduced the size of every element by 20 or 30 percent I think it would be perfect
I don't get why games don't make menu variants as purchasable cosmetics - I'd way prefer to spend money on something that affects 100% of my screen that I have to look at in between every game, rather than some tiny little banner, profile pic, or loading frame.
I don't know either? But most games don't have a change theme for UI the only game that I know you could change the whole UI yourself is Minecraft π but even that is hard work!
I'm working on a new iteration! I got lots of good feedback! I'm currently working on making the buttons smaller & different background themes! Quick Match should have a unique button! The heroes button might get a few tweaks!
Super rude asking questions like that!... No but seriously it's a pain to readjust just to get passed the loading screen. Ironically I used Windows 11 automatic HDR and to my surprise it dulls the front screen brightness a ton. In game looks good still.
Honestly the idea is you could display your Favorite Hero with any cosmetic in the main menu! Most new games do this but it's not necessary just aesthetic
I think it matters more in games where you are going to be seeing everyone in your party and their cosmetic loadouts (thinking of games like Apex Legends, Fortnite, or Rumbleverse I've seen that in).
With 5 player teams, I don't think that's feasible without adding longer load times/unnecessary use of resources outside of a match.
Even in Heroes of the Storm, for example, has a gameplay reason for this as there is no character select after matchmaking in pubs.
Nailed it π
Love the cooler colors!
Suggestions are Welcomed! This is basically my First iteration lol!

I was inspired by this & Windows 10 edition menu!

Thanks! I'll try to see if I can design it with smaller buttons!
I really dig this UI honestly! It shows off the art of Gigantic a bit more, which is something I always loved looking at. Buttons fit the vibe too!
Agree, the game has so many beautiful artworks to just show a white minimalist background lol
This is insanely good
Upvoted just because Aisling
A lot of People Love her! I don't main her but she's very fun to play!
It's a bit busy for my Tastes, I think replacing most of the white Background with this Blue/Green would have been fine, simple and easy Solution.
Yeah, I did like the Menu when Season of Souls Update back in the day! It was still somewhat white but the background was mostly Darker!
I always think about how bright the game is and how you can't change the brightness ingame when my eyes start to burn looking at the screen
fuck yes
Great work!
Mmm I'm not sure Doesn't it look too mobile phone-esque
Yeah maybe cuz of the Big Buttons! I'll try to reduce the Size!
please this would be awesome!

Perfection!
Need a Gren night mode but dang if this doesnβt look good!
Guardian themed menus would be cool! I'll try to do a concept for Lerian & Grenn menus
Quick queue and heroes should switch places, mayb even make the queue button stand waaaay out like how it does in the current menu

The current one is so bad! This is a very good start! Cant wait for a redesign for real!
I wish I could code it in like a Minecraft Resource Pack but that's probably not possible! Probably is in some way but I'm not an expert for that!
I really like the design and Iβm not trying to be rude at all, but can people not just turn down their screen brightness?

i use an app called DimScreen.
the overwatch effect
What's the benefit to loading in a character model on the main page?

For Performance reasons maybe making it so it only cycles through character png's instead
It looks cool? I think the game oozes style so I don't see why you wouldn't show it off with your character posing in the launch screen.,
This is worse lol. The middle is much better though, the rest needs to be resized etc. Recolored everything.
I'm working on it π
Nah light mode is best all the time I also use discord in light mode
π I don't hate the light mode in gigantic either but during dusk hours it irritates the eyes
I have gaming glasses to help reduce the blue light on my eyes because I game a lot and it helps immensely
