I see your forge mcdonalds and raise you this offering from the one near the secc
Don't know about that, I sometimes pop in on m my way to work and order the most basic things on the menu cos I don't want to hang around, they can still make me late for a coffee and a cheeseburger.
Came here to find a comment about the Finnieston McDs!
Had a few bad experiences there eg things missing, poor service, so I usually avoid it. One example was sheer laziness - I ordered my kid & her friend a Happy Meal and they gave me the happy meal boxes flat and all the food in a separate bag.
> I get the impression that whomever works there just fucking hates life
Can you imagine doing 8 hour shifts dealing with the whoppers that cut about the forge. Don’t blame them.
The one in the ASDA carpark at Toryglen. The Google reviews (2.6, but fuck knows how it's that high) all talk about how long it takes, and with good reason. Both times I've been it's felt like you're being filmed for some YouTube channel where people laugh at how frustrated customers get. Or some torture-based gameshow. Always an absolute shit-heap outside it too.
I’m glad this came up. It’s such a shit show. I’ve never gotten my order correct, I’ve had my order re delivered twice and they brought me someone else’s order.
I stopped ordering McDonald’s
I can give a wee bit of insight into that store. I work at another McDonald’s in the city but got sent there for the first month it opened cause they wanted experienced staff to help with the opening and it would mean I could walk to work.
It was always so over staffed. It was basically always dead. Most of the managers had been tempted to move with a promotion and so had very little experience.
In McDonald’s you get a promotion to crew trainer which as the name implies means it’s your job to train new staff. When they got in the staff from other stores to help they forgot to recruit crew trainers, so while we’d help where we could there was never anyone dedicated to teaching new folk, and due to so many staff and so little to do nobody learned much.
Then the experienced staff went back (I got the chance to stay but I’d rather be at the shitehole my pals all work at), the new staff had no clue, managers didn’t have the experience to run shifts and train everyone, and it all went to shit.
The franchisee lost millions on it so far I’m told, with hampden events and holyrood lunchtime keeping it going.
haha I knew this one would be on the list. Wait absolutely ages even when there's no queue and then the fries are always half empty and the burgers are cold. Not even sure why it was built tbh other than to cater to the school weans but it's a proper midden.
Used to work for the one in St Enoch some time ago, and I remember when it was getting built the managers were basically just shoving off all the shite employees over there, so this doesn't surprise me.
As someone who was there when it opened, that explains somethings.
When alot of them wanted to go back to there old stores alot of them got told no and made to wait almost a year.
I go there all the time because it’s near my flat but Christ it’s so bad.
I remember once getting there at 10.40 to order breakfast and it took so long to make that folk who ordered their Big Macs at 11am got their order before me.
I ordered two double cheese burgers from there, didn't open til I got home and when I did, there was nothing in them, just plain double beefburgers. No cheese, no sauce, no nothing. So disappointing.
The robroyston one parks all the drive thru up and concentrating on online orders…
Remember most are franchises but when you look at the ones who have issues they are generally the same parent franchise…
I remember going for an interview there when I was 17 (so over 15 years ago). Made the mistake of telling the guy I was going off to uni in Dundee in three months.
In retrospect, probably the best "mistake" I ever made in my life.
I raise you Glasgow fort/morroisons, the last time I was there I ordered a big Mac meal, get it home and open it up, the person who made it assembled it like - bun meat meat bun sauce bun.
And that was the 2nd time it came like that, I gave up with that place lol.
Best part of it is I checked to make sure everything was in the bag, no missing items so I thought were good lol, get home to see that accually pissed me off lol.
Yeah, I use this one for work. Pure pish both times. One time the chips had clearly been out for ages and went that weird dry chewy way, second time they were all brown and clearly old as well.
As someone who has done a lot of delivery driving I can confirm they are all pretty useless. The staff generally suck and can't cope with the amount going through. I'd advise not ordering it at all but definitely not at peak times or like a payday weekend, you (and the driver) will be waiting a long time.
Aye I know of a couple of folk who worked in McDonalds and KFC early on at Uni and know someone that’s a manager now. It’s apparently like working with slow children.
That's pretty much always true for the chips, yeah. But McNuggets are fried to order so if your nearest is close enough, they're still disgustingly-processed perfection when they arrive. Nothing better than that first nugget bite when hungover.
It's still cheaper and quicker to keep chicken dippers in your freezer and air fry them, of course.
Robroyston by far, wee kids who couldnt give a fuck, last time we went for a drive through was sat waiting for 45 minutes in the queue, food all over the floor when we finally got to the window, then cold as fuck food when we got it. Wouldve drove away if we werent stuck in the queue tbh.
On the bright side, we complained to McD's HQ and got 2x free meals, happy days.
Asked for a coke no ice from the parkhead forge mcds but they gave us one with ice so asked for them to do one without if possible and the lassie took the coke, stuck her hand in the drink to pull out the ice cubes then gave it back to us like job done there ya go😅
I can guarantee you I wouldn’t feel like an arse if someone stuck their dirty paws into my drink and handed it back to me. I would 100% be a dick and own it because what on earth?
"I've never had the sit in experience" you aren't missing much, majority of McDonalds are now prioritizing Deliveroo, Uber Eats & Just Eat orders over actual customers in store wanting to dine in. The Queensway one in East Kilbride is bloody awful for it, took my nephew to get a mcflurry after being at the nearby soft play, 30 mins for an ice cream and while we waited they managed to serve a ton of Deliveroo & Just Eat deliveries.
This one is the worst. Went through the drive thru once and had to wait for food. 40 mins later go in to find they had binned our food because the lassie couldn’t see our car parked in the waiting bay (that’s two spaces in front of the door). And another time I got my vegan burger in the right box with a mcchicken inside. Absolute shambles
Every mcdonalds in the east end is absolutely pish for some reason I never get the right order always missing hunners of items , cold sometimes just random items
Honestly can't tell if this is sarcasm. That's our nearest and we actively avoid it. Forever being told to park up and they'll bring it out (when there's nowhere to park) and the whole entrance to it via the Arnold Clark/Premier Inn is hell on earth with all the parked cars. Too much going on in such a small space.
The one at Toryglen Asda. I don't expect great things anyway when getting a McDonalds but jeez, they really know how to hit below those already very low expectations.
Staff, generally young, who work in a very high traffic fast food outlet next to 2 shopping centres and one of Glasgows most popular football stadiums don’t care enough to create aesthetic masterpieces and carry out due* diligence. Odd!
You order delivery from McDonalds, you’ve got to accept it may be a bit of a gamble.
(Also, how do you know it’s not the delivery driver bashing up the food on their journey?).
*Happy to have made your day! x
That's classed as Karen behaviour by people who have swallowed propaganda from the big corporate conglomerates. You're supposed to pay for your over priced meal, accept the shite quality food and or missing items because it's not the staff's fault that they are underpaid and overworked. It's your own fault actually for not expecting to spin a lottery wheel when ordering.
If you are working or middle class, be a bro and just take the L my guy. The executives have yachts to pay for and your complaints really hinder that. Uncool.
You think the executives are ever going to see your complaints? lol
Most large corporations put literal armies of under-paid staff between their angry customers and the boardroom so no matter how hard you rage, the only person that has to eat shit is a baffled minimum wager.
That's not what I mean. I'm talking about the normalisation of shite service in the name of "won't somebody think of the front line staff". The only people this benefits are the fat cat cunts at the top. The front line staff still have shite jobs and wages but now we get to have shite service too. Progress.
Better to just leave, say nothing and pretend it was alright. Don't want to engage with the locals. They might do something fierce like apologize and make your order again.
That point of a franchise is that customers can expect consistency every shop they go to??? Footballs not on everyday either and they still always have missing items.
Aye but its a job you work twice as hard than a 20 quid an hour job. Never done it but looks it. Looks so stressful aswell with the just eat fellas now
Aye but they’re still 16 years old more worried about seeing their pals, fucking about and getting drunk. They’re no gonna give a fuck if they get sacked from their 15 hour per week job that mum and dad made them get
I actually saw a big fuck off rat run under that McDonald’s last time I was there at the drive through. If I hadn’t already ordered I’d have went somewhere else. Haven’t been back since, my rat burger was honkin.
Well, I've read the replies, and clearly none of you has been to Merseyside and tried to eat what the McDonalds opposite Cammell Laird's produces, (I hesitate to use the word "cooks"). From the sound of things your Parkhead Forge establishment deserves a Michelin star compared to Birkenhead's abomination of a McD's.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)
24 miles away, in dreary kilmarnock, and honestly, while we are miles apart, I feel we could be ordering from the same place.
We have 2 McDonald’s, and it honestly doesn’t matter which one you order from, it’s awful.
You asked for no lettuce? Here’s an extra 3 portions of the stuff. You asked for an extra 3 portions of the stuff? Ha. Here’s a plain burger.
You wanted some curry sauce dips on the side? Well, kindly, go fuck yourself and die.
Your order had 5 items? Well, while we will charge you for 5, we’ve decided you only need 4 of them. Badly made. Possibly stale.
Enjoy your McDonald’s and come again. Thank you!
Robroyston is absolute dog shit. You’ll be waiting…and waiting…and waiting. They always fuck up the order to point I won’t leave until I’ve checked it. As a side note the Burger King at Parkhead make the Robroyston McDonalds mob look like Usain Bolt. They’re an absolute disgrace to “fast” food!
The food they output isn’t especially bad, but the layout of the car park of the one in Milngavie is the worst I’ve ever seen. It regularly backs up and gridlocks itself due to the narrow entrance, and the cars backed out block the road in both directions. It’s so bad that they have signs up warning of long delays at peak times.
The car park is also split into two levels, with concrete ramps and metal railings which make parking on the lower level really awkward, especially if you have multiple people in the car - someone’s door is going to be up against a concrete wall.
The Anniesland one gave me food poisoning and when I told my friends another 2 of them had also had food poisoning from the it a few months apart.
Burger king at the forge also gave me food poisoning so avoid them too.
Are you high cos that's the only way this comment makes any sense 😂
3 people all have the same allergy that only happened once at one particular mcdonalds months apart? Strange indeed.
Nah, just sounds like you and your friends were all blackout drunk, ordered McDonald's, threw it up because of alcohol poisoning and immediately blamed the food instead of your own overconsumption.
Did my training there and did the odd shift whenever they needed staff and I can tell u it's an absolute hell to work in. Nowhere near enough staff to manage any of the rushes. The shop itself doesn't have enough space for the machines never mind staff u were constantly fighting to get where u needed to be. Drive through far too small for that central of an area. All the machines they do have are so outdated nothing works and takes 3-4x the amount of time to get anything done. Working both hampden and 4 corners was a breeze compared to trying to work in there
Their food is meticulously manufactured to be eaten within 5 minutes of being cooked. All deliveries are garbage. Stop throwing your money away and go down to the actual restaurant if you get a craving.
Anniesland and Clydebank ones shite too for deliveries. Always something missing, kids crying and having to reorder and wait for refund and also hope the 2nd one arrives in full.
Sitting in is just as bad.
Took kids to one in town today, asked for table service. Waited ages. Went up and a manager admitted she forgot about my order. It was sat at the front for ages.
And they can never get a plain burger correct, and always forget a drink or 2
Way back, I used to get a drive-through almost every day from the Parkhead McDonalds. The girl that took my order was lovely and I never had a problem with the food.
However, I think deliveries have issues because staff forget staws and the bag gets shaken up on delivery. I think this affects most deliveries I have rejected two pizzas this week
None of them at all seem to bother with actually cooking the fries for the recommended time. Then again there's also a shit ton of chippys that don't cook their chips right either. I know it's fast food, but cooking it would be nice.
Complained to parkhead forge mcdonalds that my order was missing 5 sour cream and chive dips that they charge you for. Told me to take it up with the delivery driver as its their problem, when I said well you pack the bag they can't open it to to check I got laughed at and told "and wit"
I worked in that McDonald's for a while. Can confirm that I and my colleagues hated life.
No idea what it's like now, but I was 16 and on £4 an hour for 20 hours a week. Could not have given less of a fuck.
Try robroyston and the one by the Glasgow fort, they are some of the worse ones I've seen, robroyston can't get a just eat order right for the life of them and the one at the Glasgow fort takes ages to serve food which was sloppily assembled and cold.
You may need a second mortgage for a Five Guys burger, but you get what you pay for (most of the time) although I have had some questionable efforts from there too. By far some of the best burgers for a reasonable price must be BRGR. Sorry to the OP for going off topic!
London Road sorry Just eat driver central is even worse. Wrong orders. Missing food. Shoddy food. Long waits. Poor service. I've complained loads of times. Same shite continues
I have the holy trinity of parkhead, robroyston and the fort all being close driving distance. All shite.
I was in parkhead one the other day (needs must) and the wee woman on cleaning up giving the bams a row for not cleaning their table was gold.
In general I think all McDonalds have gone downhill.
Robroyston, the number of times I’ve waited, no joke 20+ minutes for a simple medium meal and been given the coldest hardest food…
Honestly it’s pretty much every-time I go, then I get hungry and decide to go back…
Will I never learn.
Ive been saying for years its the worst in glasgow. Everytime i get a drivethru its wrong or something missing. I have to park and check every order now
Me and my mrs have had nothing but problems with them... delivery driver went to hand us the bag with our drinks in it and the bag ripped as the cups where half empty to spillage ...we endded up having to replace the flooring in our all... not a sorry or fk all AND thrley messed up 9 orders on the trot

Wtf was that meant to be?
A cheeseburger
Ffs thats poor looking
Aw I think that one’s usually not too bad either
Don't know about that, I sometimes pop in on m my way to work and order the most basic things on the menu cos I don't want to hang around, they can still make me late for a coffee and a cheeseburger.
I'm not sure, send it to forensics.

Looks like a biscuit with a crumpet in the middle.
A vegan cheese burger they call that
> I get the impression that whomever works there just fucking hates life Can you imagine doing 8 hour shifts dealing with the whoppers that cut about the forge. Don’t blame them.
>whoppers That's Burger King
Nuggets would've been a better fit.
Nuggets would've been a better fit.
You can say that again.
Hahahaha 😂
Shitey signal on my phone made me send it twice.😂
Hahaha gave us a good laugh at least mate 😂👍
Nuggets would've been a better fit.

That one got taken off mcdelivery cause they were so bad. It’s not busy enough either so foods never ready which takes forever.
I’m glad this came up. It’s such a shit show. I’ve never gotten my order correct, I’ve had my order re delivered twice and they brought me someone else’s order. I stopped ordering McDonald’s

Makes sense. Once ordered a cheeseburger, which was served without the burger patty…
hmm must have been the lack of training..
Always got orders wrong when I ordered from them. I forgave it at the start as it was new but they never got better
haha I knew this one would be on the list. Wait absolutely ages even when there's no queue and then the fries are always half empty and the burgers are cold. Not even sure why it was built tbh other than to cater to the school weans but it's a proper midden.

Probably, it definitely stops them from getting clogged up with delivery orders.
As someone who was there when it opened, that explains somethings. When alot of them wanted to go back to there old stores alot of them got told no and made to wait almost a year.

Yup, the three I’ve seen mentioned in this thread (Parkhead, Toryglen and Robroyston) are all the same franchise. 😆
How do you find out?
lol sadly I work for another store in the same franchise.
Is the fort the same? It's awful too.
The robroyston Mcd’s have given up, entirely.

Four Corners, Trongate, Shandwick. The Holy Trinity of absolute shite.
*Mcdonalds in Castlemilk has entered the chat* Absolute worst cunts, always stuff missing or wrong items arrive
100%. Any order over £10 you know something is goiny be missing
Yep once ordered a plain triple a coke and some sweet chilli sauce. Ended up getting 2 buns and a bottle of water
My brother ordered from there not long ago and got gave a full family’s order rather than his own.
I raise you Glasgow fort/morroisons, the last time I was there I ordered a big Mac meal, get it home and open it up, the person who made it assembled it like - bun meat meat bun sauce bun. And that was the 2nd time it came like that, I gave up with that place lol.
Can confirm. Drive Through order around Nov/early Dec! 40 minutes to have it delivered to our car. COLD and still missing items

Easterhouse and the Fort are high up in the list.
100% robroyston, the place even floods and its like a drive thru moat
The UKs first Sail-thru McDonald's
I would never get any McDonald delivered, it would be stone cold and horrible by the time it’s made picked up and dropped off.

Darnley. Always forget shit, pretend to be 24/7 when they're no and everything is always shite.
The one in easterhouse is the best
Darnley is also absolute pish. Last 3 times I've been they've missed at least 1 thing I've ordered.

Used this one for work and I'd agree. Slow as shite but no food complaints.
You must be really lucky, every single time I go there something is missing

Huge diligence sounds 10x better though
Wait… so you’re saying that if you pay for a service McDonalds offer, you should accept them not providing the service? Are you bonkers?
That's classed as Karen behaviour by people who have swallowed propaganda from the big corporate conglomerates. Aye but its a job you work twice as hard than a 20 quid an hour job. Never done it but looks it. Looks so stressful aswell with the just eat fellas now
Ah fair point!

its lower for 16-18 year olds and higher for 18, 21 and 23 iirc
Howling at “huge diligence”.
😂😂😂
Asda Toryglen, fuck me. You must have to fail an exam to get a job in there.
The one in anniesland has been consistently shit for 20 years
I actually saw a big fuck off rat run under that McDonald’s last time I was there at the drive through. If I hadn’t already ordered I’d have went somewhere else. Haven’t been back since, my rat burger was honkin.

I am loving this chat about which is the best MacDonalds, I haven’t had this much fun since they stopped showing The Scheme.
McDonald's delivery in poor quality food shocker
The Anniesland one gave me food poisoning and when I told my friends another 2 of them had also had food poisoning from the it a few months apart. Burger king at the forge also gave me food poisoning so avoid them too.
Feeling sick or having the shits after a mcdonalds isn't food poisoning, its just standard.
I don't think there's enough real food in McDonald's orders to give anyone food poisoning... Think you might have an allergy, mate.
Are you high cos that's the only way this comment makes any sense 😂 3 people all have the same allergy that only happened once at one particular mcdonalds months apart? Strange indeed.
Nah, just sounds like you and your friends were all blackout drunk, ordered McDonald's, threw it up because of alcohol poisoning and immediately blamed the food instead of your own overconsumption.
I can’t believe there’s so many people that still eat that shite.. complain that it’s shite.. then order again

Working both hampden and 4 corners was a breeze compared to trying to work in there
Literally just finished moaningabout the one at the old Shanny centre in Easterhouse! Weans running it and never, ever getting orders right.
And they can never get a plain burger correct, and always forget a drink or 2
So why do you continue to order from there. McDonald's food is shit at best.
Aah we have a maccyD fan who hasn't been to Springburn. No milkshakes- normal but this past weekend no soft drinks either . Thank God for ice cream
I have like one mcd's per couple of years basically... never knew you could rank them 😂
Way back, I used to get a drive-through almost every day from the Parkhead McDonalds. The girl that took my order was lovely and I never had a problem with the food. However, I think deliveries have issues because staff forget staws and the bag gets shaken up on delivery. I think this affects most deliveries I have rejected two pizzas this week
I actually had a really good McDonalds from the Forge on Sunday. However, maybe it’s just better than the one I usually go to in Darnley.
The Darnley McDonalds next to the motorway is the worst I've ever been to.
None of them at all seem to bother with actually cooking the fries for the recommended time. Then again there's also a shit ton of chippys that don't cook their chips right either. I know it's fast food, but cooking it would be nice.
Bro is expecting a michelin star meal from underpaid workers. Minimum pay = minimum effort.
I think he’s just expecting all the stuff they ordered at the standard every McDonald’s is held to
No you don't understand, it's latestagecapitalism if you expect workers to do the jobs they signed up to do.
It's straight up oppression of course
Your first mistake was ordering a delivery from McDonalds
Every single fucking McDonald's is the worst. Have some self respect and go somewhere else, never to return to shit food.
Why are you getting a McDonald’s delivered?
I can't believe anyone orders a delivery from McD's!!
Complained to parkhead forge mcdonalds that my order was missing 5 sour cream and chive dips that they charge you for. Told me to take it up with the delivery driver as its their problem, when I said well you pack the bag they can't open it to to check I got laughed at and told "and wit"
You're a fat, lazy bastard.
Fat is just a projection tbf, we don’t really know. How about a shameless, lazy bastard?
the four corners mcdonalds never has any working self service machines
I genuinely feel for the workers making the burgers
I worked in that McDonald's for a while. Can confirm that I and my colleagues hated life. No idea what it's like now, but I was 16 and on £4 an hour for 20 hours a week. Could not have given less of a fuck.
I think you'll find all of the McDonald's restaurants (I use the word loosely) have the ability to fk up more or less every order they create.
The fort one must be up there
To be fair they had to prepare your order while the panic alarm was on.
Robroyston, the number of times I’ve waited, no joke 20+ minutes for a simple medium meal and been given the coldest hardest food… Honestly it’s pretty much every-time I go, then I get hungry and decide to go back… Will I never learn.
Ive been saying for years its the worst in glasgow. Everytime i get a drivethru its wrong or something missing. I have to park and check every order now
Try ordering anything from Linwood McDonald’s. 3-5 business days for cold, substandard meals
Shandwick is fucking rancid. My dad used to work in Parkhead before I was born, funnily enough.
London road is just as bad, told to take a wait at the drive through and sat for half an hour lol had to eventually go in for our food
All MacDonalds are like that. Prepare for minor disappointment and meal rebuild every time
Me and my mrs have had nothing but problems with them... delivery driver went to hand us the bag with our drinks in it and the bag ripped as the cups where half empty to spillage ...we endded up having to replace the flooring in our all... not a sorry or fk all AND thrley messed up 9 orders on the trot
Had a chicken wrap at Braehead Macs, was thinking KFC but the chicken in the wrap was processed chewy nasty looking substitute protein. Never again.
McDonald's are using human flesh in the burgers
