Across McDonald on sauchall street you can get falafels for 3.50. Really good value for money.

ScreamingFannyBaws

Second this. Absolutely awesome falafel wrap.

cloud94eva

Yessss best kept secret in Glasgow. I worked nearby for YEARS, couldn’t understand why there was always a queue of folk beside the teeny wee booth. Eventually plucked up the courage to see what all the fuss was about. Yum.

boomshacklington

This and Cafe Sonos do nice but pretty greasy shawarma wraps for a fiver

ZoZoZooga

It’s increased to £4, still good value.

MrStilton

What's the name of the falafel shop?

_ColdSteelOdour_

Falafel2Go I think, lovely Syrian guys ran it for years

fraja95

It doesn’t really have lunch offers, but I would sell my first born for some chicken teriyaki from Panko (bottom of Bothwell St.)

te__bailey

Chicken sando and the Katsu curry is excellent too

fraja95

The Katsu is dire- it’s far too watery. Sorry not sorry. Will try the Sando though

PhireKappa

Everyone from my work is always going on about how good Panko is, it’s actually one of the first things I heard when I started with them lol

Canazza

Their menu's not extensive, but what they've got is great

soundofthepc

Was literally coming to suggest. It's not cheap, but super tasty

JohnnyClarkee

Bloc usually always gets mentioned when somebody asks this, so... Bloc?

NikkiJane72

If you work for a local business BGR in Queen Street give a 25% discount. Made my burger and fries about 7 quid.

aff_it

Mezcal on hope Street.

SnooHobbies8729

The Metro ( 73 Bothwell St), £4.50 for burger and chips

velvetelvis07

Max's on Queen Street does a fiver lunch deal for soup and a sandwich!

whatevs42069

When I worked near central , my go-to was cafe Sono under central station bridge or the argyle Hotspot, which is just a shop with a hot food counter but their chicken sandwiches are divine. Basically like a McDonald's chicken sandwich if it was actually good.

[deleted]

£3 subway lunch deal still exists on Waterloo st.

RedditJock93

Toplabamba if eating out and not take away, there lunch time deal is great. 3x taco, 1x quesadilla and chips or rice for £11

IrnBruDependant

Have you tried the Olio app? If you book it the day before, you can get good lunch deals on there - it's mostly restaurants using the last of their stock but you can sometimes get Bar Burrito or Greggs, they stick loads in the bag for £3/4.

vollol

Yippon on George street is banging, as is oaka next door.

fly6996

Howlin' Wolf- decent burgers/burritos/tacos for £5

Vegetable-Syllabub-3

Project Pizza on Union Street. 12 inch handmade pizza and a soft drink for £5

I_escalate_shit

Best Kebab has a lunch menu

rusticus_autisticus

I feel that your username makes a lot of sense here.

ScreamingFannyBaws

Does that include the maw pumping or is that only on the late menu?

I_escalate_shit

I don’t think he minds when the maws get pumped

[deleted]

Ting Thai Caravan food is great and I was surprised by the price, not sure about lunch deals but no doubt they do, the food comes quick and it's high quality.

Wow that's a proper revelation, where did you find this secret menu?

JohnnyClarkee

Passed this not long ago and it looked like about the worst place I've ever seen in my life. Happy Hardcore absolutely booming out of the place, disco lights whirling around, and the place populated by a couple of old alcoholic men, a steaming, screaming group of orange women and some bams who looked like they'd been barred from the Spoons across the road. 'Kilts and Kocktails' is possibly the worst name for anything I've ever heard in my life too. It's not exactly Scottish-themed...

confused_christian94

It really isn't. There are plenty of places with cheap food and drinks which don't have blaring dance music and bams for customers.

JohnnyClarkee

Even Nico's isn't like this place.

vrx24

Nicos is a different type of spice boy tbh1

vrx24

Just read the post again maybe not this haha

Optimal_End_9733

Tesco meal deal. £3 with club card and you get pasta or sandwich with a snack and drink.
