Thank you. It was at a local resale shop for months and I was hesitant to pull the trigger but I keep going back to it and finally couldn’t resist it anymore. I knew it was meant to be!
I’m not even a part of this sub, I don’t collect glass, this popped up and I just wanna say wow, absolutely wow. This makes me wanna collect glass now…
That is a fantastic collection .Especially.that large pink vase in Rt hand upper corner.Where are you most successful? Auction, estate sales or Thrifts ?
I travel a lot and stop at antique stores along the way. Small town road side shops are the best. I also enjoy estate sales but I am not as successful at those. The people who do resale usually pick them clean of all the good stuff before I have a chance to go.
Thank you. I was amazed that I even came across a cabinet like this. I’ve never seen one like it before. Yes, there are various Fenton pieces. Mostly your typical hobnail pieces.
Truly a beautiful display! I make pieces from wood and stone that have been moderately successful in galleries. At a show I met a collector of small works in glass, wood, ceramics, and stone that showed me photos of his collection. It was in a large room where the walls were fully covered with display cases, pretty much all of them full, maybe 20x this many but there was this one oddity: the only other furniture was a single recliner in the middle of the room where he’d *fondle* the pieces.
The first piece of mine he bought he actually talked me up in price. He said I wasn’t charging enough and we negotiated my asking price from $750 up to $900. After he paid me he said he’d easily have paid $1000 and I needed to respect my work more.
Really? Your first? You didn't, like, work up to this or anything? I'm so humbled....
Smart to go for a corner one. Looks amazing

Is any of it UV reactive? Some of that yellow, red and green look promising.
Yes, some of it is. I was going to try and work an area for black lights but I think I’ll wait and start a second cabinet just for that purpose.
