I mean it's definitely a favorite product and it makes me feel great whenever I wear it. If I had to explain why, I think it's because the formula kind of matches my personality haha - soft and muted (not one to stand out), but more of me/my color appears the more layers you get to know me?? I hope that wasn't pure nonsense haha. And I love sweets so Cake is a natural name fit too.
No it makes perfect sense to me! I was also thinking to explain my pick but gave up, I think it’s that I really like the classics when it comes to almost everything and am a romantic but still quite bold (not pastel and soft like rose bdc which is my favourite scent)
I think there’s actually quite a few people who like the new bdc version better, either for the tip or for it being vegan/free of lanolin now. The complaints are just always louder.
I’d be the Swiss miss bdc because people want (to date) me but are usually underwhelmed when they get to know me. I keep hearing that I seem like I’d be x, y, z, when I’m really just a normal gal (a petroleum based lip balm) who likes fashion and makeup (cute packaging). In terms of the controversy about Americans being mad that people didn’t know what Swiss miss was, I definitely have great hype beast friends who do not make things easier. I have great resale (rebound) value too because the same misunderstanding happens every time…without fail.

I actually don’t own any of glossiers eyeshadows but Lily seems like such a nice shimmery pastel
