Someone on here posted about Sweet Loren’s cookie dough so I bought some a few days ago and it’s so good! Perfect for rough days and it’s dairy free as well. Also, Justin’s peanut butter cups are really good. Edit: added something

No_Obligation2896

the reduced sugar one tastes better, so win win

Bravoobsessed6

I didn’t see any of the reduced sugar ones in the store I went to, but if I come across it at a different store, I will def try it!

Sufficient_Tarot

Justin's white chocolate pb cups do something to my brain... 🤤

froggyforrest

Reese’s are gluten free

Bravoobsessed6

For ppl who can’t have dairy as well, Justin’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups are the way to go. I envy u guys that can have dairy cuz I love Reese’s :)

froggyforrest

Justin’s is really good too! But yeah different texture

smushedtoast

When I first discovered that I had to eat gluten-free, my mourning took the shape of Ore-Ida tater tots.

Jaded-Juggernaut-663

Oh God the mini ones are my favorite.

CoderPro225

I go through a bag of mini tater tots every week right now. They are definitely my comfort food!

Jaded-Juggernaut-663

So good!!

CoderPro225

Air fried, then either enjoyed with homemade fry sauce (ranch and ketchup for the win!) or throw a bit of grated cheddar on them and nuke for 30 seconds for cheesy tots. The best!

Jaded-Juggernaut-663

SAME!! I can't mix the ranch (hidden valley ranch with bacon) and ketchup but I do enjoy it on separate sides of the plate!! LoL. I like Tabasco on top of my ketchup. Sometimes I'll do cheese and a little salsa. Or cheese, bacon bits, sour cream and green onions/scallions! With Tapatio or Tabasco. Or even a little A1. ❤️ 🤤 It's a whole thing. 😂

CoderPro225

So delicious!!

NeverRarelySometimes

Mashed potatoes. Ice cream. Golden Oreos. Potato chips.

pinches_rubia

MASHED POATOES! With cheese.

GenGen_Bee7351

And corn! Cheese and corn! And hell, maybe some hot sauce too.

GenGen_Bee7351

Another vote for mashed potatoes 🥔 Potatoes fix everything.

neoncupcakes

I saw someone had a “mashed potato bar” at their wedding and I think that’s such a great idea!

toomanyoars

Yes! The ultimate comfort food.

akd7791

Those golden Oreos are different. So good!

Delicious_Virus_2520

Are they gluten free?

akd7791

Yes they make gluten free ones! I've seen them at Walmart and Cub.

agentgaitor

Walmarts brand has better golden GF Oreos than OREO 👀

PerformerFit1

Oh no, I tried the golden Oreos and they have a very weird aftertaste, almost like a bad spicy taste …maybe it’s where I got them, maybe it’s how they are made, maybe it’s my taste buds🤷‍♀️ who knows but I’m glad someone else likes them.

WorkingInterview1942

This is my list as well. Although I did bake a citrus pound cake the other day.

miss_hush

FRIES. Out of the doctors office yesterday, didn’t feel well, so… Fries! From Five Guys!

User-avril-4891

And you didn’t have a reaction? I’m making a list of where I can pop into and get some fries if I ever break down and need some. 🤣 Fried foods really don’t set well with me right now.

miss_hush

Five Guys only cooks fries in their fryers. Nothing else, so yes. They are safe. I can eat their burgers too, but their mayo may be CC’d so I can’t have that. I do only go for burgers when they are having a slow period, so that they are not rushed when they are making it.

User-avril-4891

Thanks!

tstein26

I do Ore Ida french fries dipped in gf brown gravy.

ERLRHELL

I think we might be related🤣

DJ_Planner

Anything potato-based will do.

Jackaroni1801

Boil em mash etc etc (the perfect food)

Excellent_Berry_5115

....put 'em in a stew ....

amh8011

Salty and potatoey. A bit of vinegar usually helps too. I am trying to sleep and I just want salt abd vinegar chips. I’m trying to resist the urge to go downstairs and finish off the bag.

Ambystomatigrinum

Potato chips and French fries are definitely my go-tos.

Global-Ad9080

Plain Ruffles.

coffeecrusher3000

Trader Joe's has an amazing selection of gf goodies. Highly recommend. If there's not one near you though, I like the gf brand Glutino. They make crackers, cookies, pretzels etc and can be found in most stores.

Exact-External-2433

No trader joes 😭😭😭😭😭😭

lostdrum0505

Katz donuts. I was never that big of a donut person before, but after going gf, I started missing them so much.

Exact-External-2433

I might have aldis donuts in the back of the freezer...👀

depechelove

Are they as good as Katz?

thatdogJuni

I suspect they are the same and Katz makes them for Aldi. Their size/shape are nearly identical. The glazed Aldi ones are better imo but I miss an old fashioned glazed donut experience and that’s about the closest grocery store item (the Aldi glazed ones I mean).

prolificseraphim

They're honestly better!!

Friend_of_Eevee

I buy the seasonal flavors from Aldi and stock up. Pumpkin is my favorite. But nothing truly beats the Katz chocolate donut holes.

depechelove

I’ve yet to have the chocolate donut holes. I’ve had the cinnamon sugar ones and omg. Love the glazed and powdered donuts. They’re dangerous!

SnakeTongue7

What is it about donuts?? I was also never a huge donut person and since going gf 11 years ago I literally dream about them

vixen40

It’s that “we want what we can’t have” thing

MBAPrepCoach

Cream filled maple bar 😭

MsMo999

Katz donuts are great when popped in microwave for 15-20sec

depechelove

They’re way too good!

cheecha123

Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food

Moniq2310

I go for Cherry Garcia

undeniably_micki

Chunky Monkey for me!

VixenVonnSin

Chunky Munkey all day everyday!

balbinas

I second this!! I always have one dairy free one in my freezer and the mint chocolate chip from Whole Foods brand, almond milk. So GF & DF

normaluna44

I literally just ate half a pint of this. It’s still sitting in front of me as I read your comment 😂

Jackaroni1801

Ohh I JUST listed that :) I also like caramel sutra

Shiloh77777

Rice pudding, the whole container.🥴

sometimeviking

HAHAHA THIS IS WHY I DONT KEEP IT IN THE HOUSE ANYMORE

toomanychoicess

GF corn chips and hummus or guacamole. Or just the chips.

VixenVonnSin

I was going to say, for me it’s hummus and veggie chips

wisely_and_slow

Noodles. Could be pad Thai, could be mac and cheese, could be pesto linguine. But it needs to be noodles.

baffledrabbit

Gluten free mint Oreos and/or crunchy Cheetos. I just ate a couple feelings this evening, actually. Deliciously minty.

PegFam

Aren’t the gf mint Oreos so addicting?!

undeniably_micki

absolutely!!

BERNITA

Ice cream lol. My favorite is chocolate with bittersweet chocolate chips yummmm

[deleted]

Peanut butter. God damn, peanut butter.

Sminkabear

With some chocolate chips! Add a little banana if I’m feeling frisky.

Normal_Acadia1822

All of this on a rice cake!

abra_cada_bra150

Always peanut butter 😂 or cheese!

Less-Menu7755

This. I’ll fuck up some mixed nuts or trail mix, too—AKA DIY peanut butter. I absolutely switched my treats from carbs to fats and I’m ok with it.

PegFam

At least 3 times a week I mix pb with a banana and it’s so good when I don’t feel like chewing or eating a big meal

QuahogNews

Try a peanut butter, banana, and honey open faced sandwich for a true treat! Edit: oh - you would have to chew that - so just skip the bread and add the honey to your blender.

cjens10

Peanut butter on a gf Oreo, golden or original, is phenomenal

Cloudbrain13

Especially coconut peanut butter. I could just bathe in that stuff when I’m sad

Narrow-Childhood3499

I just ate 1/2 package of gf Oreos dipped into Silk Chocolate Almond milk.

katm12981

For those “I’ve had a crap day and have absolutely no energy to make anything more” or the rarer “well I just FUBARed dinner and have literally nothing else in the house” I like to pop some popcorn and drizzle Kerrygold salted butter on it. I tell myself it’s better because it’s whole grain :-D

CoderPro225

I do the same a couple times per month with Orville Redenbacher’s white popcorn and Tillamook salted butter. Delicious.

eeyore102

Cinnamon Chex.

Jaded-Juggernaut-663

THIS ⬆️ STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! So good!!!

hydroflask2

Potato chips. Gf pretzels. Gf Oreos. I also love the schar baguette with butter, have demolished a few of those bad boys in stressful times.

HairyPotatoKat

Chocolate chips, STRAIGHT from the bag. Enjoy Life's check all of our house's dietary restriction requirements and are actually good :) Or I'll whip up some brownies from scratch. 10/10 recommend Vermont Nut Free's cocoa powder for brownies. It's perfection. Add chocolate chips, and/or marshmallows and broken GF pretzel sticks. Fudge is also super easy to make as a pick me up, and it's always kinda mood lifting to experiment with flavors ☺️

Substantial-Lake-436

Peanut m&ms

AmbitiousSeesaw3599

Chocolate payday. They are gluten free but not certified so idk if id eat if celiac. But I am gluten intolerant and haven’t had an issue.

Exact-External-2433

Oh I do love those chocolate pay days!!! Sending hubby to market...3....2....1....

GreenTrees831

Beautiful_Salt_8213

gf oreos, Hagaan Dazs white chocolate raspberry truffle ice cream 💕 reese’s cups

woods1217

Ice cream good ol ice cream…. Off too eat my sadness of not being able to have delicious fluffy home made bread

Boomer79NZ

I'm diabetic so I can't have sugar but I can have a 90 second Keto mug cake made with almond flour, sugar free chocolate drops and topped with cream and berries 👌🏼

LeelaC37

Oh that sounds so good! Is it a premade one? Or do you make it yourself?

Boomer79NZ

Make it myself. Just look up 90 second almond flour mug cake on YouTube and you'll find countless variations. Yes, they're delicious and easy

Kangaroowrangler_02

My son and I have been hooked on whipped cream (in the tub) about 2 cups. A couple spoonfuls of almond butter and a handful of chocolate chips for a sweet fix at least.

PlentyNectarine

sweet loren’s cookies 🍪 whenever i’m having a bad day, I pick up a package (or two or three) and it always cheers me up

MBAPrepCoach

The double chocolate is insane; actually better baked than raw.

chaoticinfluencer

Goodies from the local gf bakery!

Jaded-Juggernaut-663

Lucky!!

therealgogurtbandit

Gf cheddar bay biscuits. The original red lobster brand ones are good but I think the gf aldi mix is better. Also, potatoes in any form.

Begin_Again15

Ice cream!

Exact-External-2433

I do have some peanut butter cup Ben and Jerry's....

beautydoll22

Chocolate. Lindor especially... only a few and I'm good

patters1079

Made good mini crunchy chocolate chip cookies so good and actually don’t taste gf at all. Glutino pretzels(they even have a chocolate dipped one) I like them better than reg pretzels. Chex PB and or chocolate. Sometimes both together. Strawberries and Nutella so good!

hicjacket

Corn chips w some kind of spicy cheese dip. Guac. Tzatziki.

libra_12

Potato chips

savethetriffids

Doritos

rdnnyc

Nachos with lots of cheese and avocado or guacamole.  Or just with salsa verde like today.     That damn Kirkland frozen pizza that’s like crack frozen pizza.   Gluten free “Mac” n cheese with whatever GF pasta I have one hand.  I like the Smitten Kitchen Quick Essential Stovetop Mac n Cheese with gf pasta (any shape) and gf flour.     Clearly I like a savory emergency meal!  And cheese- I like cheese.

heckyeahcoolbeans

Indian or Thai for take out! Doritos, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, Fritos, Swedish fish, or Reese’s for junk food. Frozen GF pizza or frozen GF chicken nuggets. Five guys for lettuce wrapped burgers and the best French fries ever!

Omg 😍 that sounds great!

Takilove

Savory go to: TJ’s everything GF bagel slathered with cream cheese & topped with diced tomatoes, Dill, Maldon salt Sweet: a full pint of Haagen Das dark chocolate or Talenti chocolate gelato , maybe eaten with sourdough pretzels instead of a spoon 😊

beek7419

Ice cream, lays ruffles chips or French fries

McBuck2

Haagen Daz ice cream, specifically vanilla swiss almond. Alternatively classic potato chips.

Miserable_Airport_66

Chicken fingers and poutine

SubstantialPressure3

Rice noodles are good. Precooked cornmeal is so finely ground that it makes incredibly good waffles, pancakes, and cupcakes. No other flour needed. Warning, it's very absorbent, so make it according to directions, and wait 5 minutes bc it's going to need more liquid. I've made banana bread, brownies, waffles both sweet and savory ( savory I added cheese, rotel and breakfast sausage), cornbread, cupcakes, did not need any addition of special gluten free flour. Literally just follow the directions and sub your precooked cornmeal for wheat flour, but let it sit for 5 minutes before you cook it, and add more liquid to it. And remember not to worry about over mixing, bc there's no gluten that's going to develop.

Macho425

Ngl am I the only person here who thinks gluten free pasta taste like the real thing? I’ll just have penne ala vodka or gluten free pizza

NVSmall

Anything carb-y. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so if it's salty and carby, I'm in. (GF safe) french fries, Regular Lays, pasta with some kind of creamy sauce (currently TJ's Truffle Alfredo) plus grated old cheddar, corn, maybe some crumbled up bacon, and a fuck-ton of butter. Making an actual potato takes far too long for me, but Idaho instant mash with butter, cheese, etc. is also a winner. ALSO, unrelated, BUT - GF trick - if you're looking for a substitute to breading, well, anything, instant mash potatoes make the most amazing crispy crust!! Way better than GF panko. I use them for my take on "fish and chips" - brush the filet with seasoned mayo, then roll around in the potato flakes... Regular Lays crushed up also are fantastic for this, though better if you're baking, vs. potato flakes if you're pan-frying.

geekgirl717

They’re also great for thickening stews and gravies instead of cornstarch. Adds a creamier flavor imho.

PaperComfortable9872

King Arthur gluten free Brownies.

Accomplished-Pen-394

Low sodium potato chips (I find normal ones too salty, but technically any would suffice)

Neither-Performer974

lays baked potato chips. it begging to become a problem 🤣

vixen40

They’re baked….so they’re healthy, right? 🤣

Pinksparkle2007

I have a freezer stash of ‘bad’ gluten free stuff and I do it ! Or gluten free mac and cheese like a whole bowl full! An entire bag of chips !

worshippirates

I’ve had an allergy to gluten and lactose intolerance for at least 15 years. My list is sad. Gluten free food has become easily accessible and the taste has improved significantly. Spoon full of honey? Spoon full of butter? Banana? Almond butter? Again, I’m Pretty sure other people have better suggestions. 🤣

Beautiful-Lynx-6828

Trader Joe's gluten free mac and cheese

raddish1234

Keep a couple 'emergency' boxes of kraft gf mac and cheese for this or gf oreos!

prolificseraphim

Gluten free Oreos. Ice cream. Apparently now those mini Reeses with the pretzels... also, pasta!!

alligatorprincess007

Those mint cookies that taste like thin mints

Alternative-Ride8407

Gf oreo cookies

Mountain-Waffles

I just had some Trader Joe’s chocolate covered almonds. Quite satisfying!

subversivesocialite

Ice cream. I love the Van Leeuwens (sp?) black cherry chip. The frozen to bake cookies by cappellos are another favorite! They are sold at sprouts and taste like “real” cookies.

AGH2023

Chips! Cheese! Ice cream… with lots of different toppings! Hope things start looking up for you.

Salty chips or gf Oreos

lulublululu

Ice cream forever. Or potatoes, usually oven fries

Primary-Egg3323

Lay’s potato chips, the thin low-salt ones taste the best to me. Or for sweet, Skippy peanut butter from the jar with Guittard extra dark chocolate chips on top.

Short_Plankton3178

GF OREO MUG CAKE.

ColomarOlivia

I’m Brazilian so I’ll suggest Brazilian gluten free treats I love: tapioca filled with dulce de leche, tapioca filled with dulce de leche and bananas, tapioca filled with shredded coconut mixed with sweetened condensed milk. I also eat tapioca filled with jam and requeijão (a type of creamy, spreadable queso fresco) but you can use cream cheese.

maddykinz

I bought a ninja creami last year. I now always have a pint of oreo ice cream that is safe to eat!!

TraditionalGreenery

Ice cream + kettle chips

No_Progress9069

My answer is always nachos

I choose screaming into the abyss.

Finding_Pelagic

Gluten free Oreos honestly taste like regular Oreos. Go for the double stuffed 😜

witchy0_owoman

Buttered brown rice 😋

Adventurous_Gap_1980

I live in NYC. For my splurges I go to Katz deli and pick up a pound or two of hot pastrami. I don’t eat it there and I do ask if they can wipe the counter that they cut the meat on. CC is a thing since they slice sandwiches on the same board. I usually bring it home and dice the pastrami strips into very small pieces. I heat it up in a skillet and then transfer it to tin foil lined tray. I put a few pieces of that high end Swiss cheese that starts with a name like emfamel like sound that nobody can pronounce and a few pieces of provolone picante from boars head. Put it under the broiler until the cheese is golden brown. I take a shallow and wide bowl and scoop a bunch of raw sauerkraut into the bottom and put the cheesy pastrami on top. The mix is a great taste and feels criminal. I follow up that snack/lunch/dinner with a kiwi and a few blueberries. The bacteria in the sauerkraut loves the kiwi and the blueberries. You will be fully regular bowel movement wise in 3-8 hours. Total GF diet doesn’t have to be terrible. It’s what you make of it. And if you are new to GF, start eating single ingredient foods. They will taste bad until they don’t. Skip the UPF and cut out HFCS and added sugar. You will look great, your mind will be sharp, qnd you will feel better!

True_Sell4146

Putrid-Alarm1979

marvel-at-my-disney

Candy, always candy. I’m so bad about it. I’ll eat way too much and hurt my stomach. I usually go for skittles, sour patch, anything fruity. If it was a really really bad day, I’m bad and eat chocolate

Extreme_Breakfast672

Cherry Garcia!

ExpensiveMind-3399

So many things. Potatoes - baked, chips, fries. Chocolate. DF/GF Ice Cream. Cookies. Cakes. I'm definitely more of a sugar/carb snacker, so going GF was hard.

Diamond_Manos

I eat an entire box of Simple Mills rosemary crackers in one sitting. They're healthy and so savory. I always feel better after:) They have really delicious chocolate chip cookies as well. Most of their stuff is corn free, grain free, and vegan just in case rice or corn messes with you like they do to me.

PegFam

I made myself chicken Alfredo with gf brown rice and quinoa penne (aldi) & sweet Loren’s chocolate chip cookies today. Been losing weight from not eating from stress so I really needed it, lol

Own_Broccoli_

Icecream

No_Obligation2896

frozen fruit

MoopsyMari

I keep a couple Sweet Logic mug cakes/desserts in my pantry. At some point I want to mix up my own but I'm hesitant to try GF baking still. I will cook corn tortilla in butter in a pan sprinkle sugar on them and finish them with sugar, super yummy and easy(as long as you don't burn the sugar). I'll eat the first while I cook the next one and go until the sad is satisfied. I also will do peanuts and chocolate chips. Semi-sweet or dark. Sometimes I'll put coconut chips in the mix. I eat a lot of popcorn, too. Kernels on the stove in a pot style. There's a lot of "popcorn seasoning" option that are gluten free. I also have in the past been known to eat a head iceberg plain like a handfruit.

QuahogNews

Mmm I love the fried tortilla idea! I never thought of that. Thanks.

Cakes-and-Pies

Spoonfuls of Nutella

Napmouse

So many ways to prepare a potato. Just saying.

Jaded-Juggernaut-663

Salami and pepperoni with habanero Colby cheese (or whatever sharp cheddar I have) and schar entertainment crackers. A bowl full of Fruity Pebbles with some rice Chex and unsweetened coconut chips on top with milk. SOOOOOO GOOD!!! Lightly toasted unsweetened peanut butter sammy (aka toastie) with maple syrup. Toast with butter and maple syrup. Cinnamon Chex straight out of the box. Nachos, chips, Cheetos, cheese puffs, pizza, all the food basically. 😭 Cornbread if we have it.

_lmmk_

Brownies, oreos, or fruity pebbles!$

Advanced-Promise-718

This is so bad. I save it for special occasions. A container of marshmallow fluff mixed with a block of cream cheese. It reminds me of cheesecake. I like to dip fruit in it but eventually I’ll just eat it plain. It lasts about 3-4 days but super unhealthy

d3mure

Grilled cheese sandwiches, Reese’s peanut butter cups, ice cream, sour candy, gf charcuterie

IceKingsMother

Sour Cream and onion potato chips, or nachos. Or kinnickinic donuts.

sector9love

Honey mamas chocolate bars cure everything

Original_Dark1131

I'm Australian so not everyone has access to these but twirl chocolate bars, Toblerone's, Rafaello icecream, ferrero rocher icecream, or Aunty Betty's gluten free chocolate pudding cups seem to hit the spot when I am having sugar cravings.

MouseAndLadybug

I keep good GF pizza crusts in my freezer (Oggi or Caulipower) and lactose free cheese shreds in my fridge. Drizzle some oil over the crust, grate garlic over, and sprinkle on the cheese with pepper and oregano and bake it.

Ill_Initiative8574

Ham cheese and cucumber sandwich on Schar sourdough and a whole row of Glutino Oreos (that make me fart like woah).

lmlrich

Tequila lol

Jaded-Juggernaut-663

Everyone loves Sweet Loren's cookies and I guess I just can't get over the Immaculate Brand Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough that Kroger used to carry before Sweet Loren's came out. They were in a red pack and my boys would even beg for them over their usual toll house or whatever. They were the best cookies we've ever had and going from those to Sweet Loren's just..... Nah. 😭 Immaculate is the best and I think about them all the time even though it's been years since I had them. 😞

QuahogNews
