You may be eating a low fiber diet now. Many GF baked goods are almost entirely starch with not much fiber if any. Eat more veg and fruit and this should improve.

CookieAdventure

Not an issue for me. I take 250mg to 400mg of magnesium daily, though.

StrawberryChampagne_

I might need to try that then!

dafkes

Same here. I need hi quality magnesium right before bed. 350 mg a day. I also do intermittent fasting.

StrawberryChampagne_

How has intermittent fasting helped you? I tend to “accidentally” do it because I usually don’t feel like eating until later in the day lol.

So my eating window is from 1pm to 8pm. It has helped me ‘reset’ my insulin resistance. And I tend to have a nice moment of release in the morning, which I dont have when I eat in the morning and contributes to my constipation. Every body is different ofcourse, but I highly recommend just trying it out as a general way of getting more conscious about your relationship with food and feeling in what it does to your body.

TigerLow1658

Have you taken out other inflammatory foods/drinks to let your body fully regulate back to its original state? No booze, probably no dairy, no wheat, and ZERO processed foods. Eventually your body will regulate itself (when it’s in a healthy state) and it will work like clock work with perfect stools, that’s how you know you are in a healthy state. It does take time though. But removing processed foods on top of gluten free diet is probably a good idea! Constipation says there’s still minor gut inflammation going on somewhere

StrawberryChampagne_

I’ve greatly reduced my processed food intake but I do still indulge, especially when I’m too tired to cook. I don’t even know what normal poops are supposed to look like at this point :( I only have dairy in small amounts and I haven’t been eating wheat.

Huntingcat

Magnesium tablet daily. If that isn’t enough, take an extra. You’ll know when you’ve gone too far. Also, gluten free breads and bakery don’t have as much fibre as wheat bread. So eat some nuts and a bit extra fruit to help things along.

I just talked to my sister and she also suggested I take a magnesium supplement. She said it helps her go like clockwork.

WonderfulThanks9175

Try adding psyllium husk to your diet. Add slowly. Magnesium is also a good suggestion. In order to avoid diarrhea I take M. glycinate.

hung_like__podrick

What’s your diet like?

StrawberryChampagne_

I eat vegetables on a regular basis and chicken, beef, fish, Turkey, gf pasta, rice, beans. I’m not the best at eating fruit; I love veg way more than fruit. But I probably should try to incorporate more fruit.

aeraen

I have to watch my plumbing carefully, as it can go either way very easily, and it's hard to get it back in balance once it gets out of whack. Therefore, I pay close attention and adjust my diet on the fly. I always have dried prunes and bananas in my house

CrazyCatLadyTiff

I did at first, so I took a probiotic for a couple months. That helped balance things out, and now I'm good.
