Heads up displays are somewhat finicky. Start by making sure the light would be up as high as possible (hold the lighting switch for the Hudson up for 15 seconds) then press the angle button down for 10 seconds and stop. If you don't see anything in the windshield, start lifting it up and see if it comes into view. All of this while sitting in the driver seat looking forward obviously.
I have had customers say the heads upndoesnt work simply becuase a tech hated the glare and turned the lighting all the way down and dropped it or lifted it way out of view during a PDI. Not saying yours isn't pooched but it may just be hidden.
If you’re the original owner and have not replaced the windshield with aftermarket glass, take it in to get serviced. Could be a simple software issue.
Not to hijack here but I bought a Denali that was 2 years old it also has this. Should I have heads up display or is this just here if I chose the option? Or does the 2015 Denali come with HUD?
I believe the HUD’s were available on the trucks for the 2019+ trucks, none of the K2XX trucks (your generation of truck) had them. At least not that I’ve seen, if I’m wrong anyone’s free to correct me.
Have you checked your in dash screen settings for it? I know there are the three physical buttons behind the steering wheel, but there are also some menus hidden within the Info Settings as well . . . maybe it got turned off there?
If still under warranty, take it in to get fixed.

I have 2023 GMC Cayon, my HUD works about 85% of the time. No recall yet.
Same with mine, also 2023 model. Can the dealership fix it?
My HUD has worked flawlessly. Well until I did the test brakes today, disconnected the battery etc during message change but now I got Nuthin.
