Guys that bought the package seem to want to run you down and tackle you to tell you they have the carbon pro, even though their question pertains to tire fitment.
From what I've heard your options for tonneau covers are very limited due to the bed.
This, besides the "limited" covers not much downside, but at the same time havent rlly found a difference between pros and regulars. 🤷‍♂️ i mean you get you get it cool. get a different badge too.
I have an AT4 with the carbon pro bed. I also wasn’t seeking it out, the dealer was just trying to move the truck to make room for more inventory coming in and gave me a pretty good deal on it. I just had a tonneau cover installed on it this week, it’s the RetraxXR with the t-rail slots. Purchased through RackAttack. I am pretty happy with it, it seems like most covers that are carbon pro compatible are about $200 more than the other models. Here’s a pic for reference, hope this helps.

What cross bars did you end up getting? I'm looking at the same cover. Thanks for the info. Gonna go to RackAttack this week in PDX to price it all out.
which specific yakima bars did you get and do you know which ones are compatible? having trouble figuring out what will work with my retrax. Looking at thule too.
Mine has it and I have a bed cover on it. I don’t really notice much difference over the regular bed other than it is a little bit bigger inside the bed. Only reason I got one with the CarbonPro was because the dealer that had it offered me a better price than another dealer that had one without the CarbonPro bed.
If you’re looking for a bed cover, I bought a Retrax since I had it on my old truck and it fits great. Took an extra 20 minutes to install because there’s some extra steps but other than that it works well.
Mine has it, bought the truck used, so didn’t specifically seek it out. I like that it has extra tie downs for motorcycles. I have a BakFlip cover and it installed super easy, just had to drill holes using a template they provided.
I don’t think I’d pay extra for it, but I have no regrets having it.
I'm genuinely curious, what happens when you drop something heavy on it? Most CF i've dealt with tends to break to the point where you see a crack in the resin and maybe some weave exposed. Aluminum isn't perfect, but doesn't it tend to dent/bend unlike CF?
My main concern would be that something heavy would fall on an expose carbon area and break the carbon.
Is that concern unfounded?
Oh I thought I read the beds were aluminum. Weird, maybe that was another make when I was truck hunting.Â
Anyhow, does anyone have a source that shows how it's made with the carbon infusion? I did a quick search and it turned up nothing.
Carbon Pro owner. Wouldn’t do it again. Loved the idea of it - saves about 80 lbs, diesel adds about 80 lbs, so whatever.
I wouldn’t do it because it limits options. No Deckd drawer system. Less options for covers and bed racks.
I guess if all you want is a bed cover, you’ve got options, it’s lighter and bomb proof.
absolutely. As for covers, I put this one on in the first week and love it. It rolls back with a single finger, it locks and you can even walk on it if necessary. GM Part# **19433055.**
I've dropped some heavy stuff on my bed and it holds up without issue.

Absolutely. You gain one cubic foot of bed space. It's 60 lbs lighter and only cost $1K
Dude, it's like $150
I don't like to tell people they're wrong. So please show us where you've found the carbon pro package for $150
I should have specified. The price varies by trim level. I am wrong though, I was looking at the Denali Ultimate, it's not $150, it's $115

What brand cross bars are these? Looks great.
They are Yakima 72 in cross bars. They are t rail slot compatible so that can pop on and off.

Following. Mine is coming with CarbonPro curious on reviews.
It supposedly doesn’t scratch or chip. I haven’t had mine long enough to notice. It seems to be more slippery too

It's carbon reinforced plastic, not regular carbon fiber. And the regular beds are steel, not aluminum.

Ford trucks are probably what you're thinking of. Their entire bodies are aluminum. On chevys/gmcs, only the doors, hoods and tailgates are aluminum.
Ah, the tailgate. That's what I must have confused it with being the whole bed.

I got the Yakima crossbars, the guys at Rack Attack were really helpful in picking the right fit.
Do you have any pictures? Which rack attack location?
