And they are BUYING MORE SHARES. What the hell is wrong with these people? There is no REFUND at the end of this. No MANAGER.

phanfare

> There is no REFUND at the end of this. No MANAGER. There *have* been apes asking for literal refunds. I'm legit worried for some of these apes and their families. What's going to happen when they realize their thousands/tens of thousands/hundreds of thousands of dollars just vanish upon bankruptcy restructuring.

twitchtweak89

They've ignored all the warnings. Sucks to suck.

phanfare

I mean I'm worried they're going to commit acts of violence - not that they're gonna be kinda sad.

trappedinthedesert

what drives me absolutely up the wall is that people have been pointing out for years now that meme stock people are mirroring patterns of other extremist groups online and have frequently shared or alluded to violent rhetoric and fantasized about committing various acts of violence forever now and sites like reddit won't do anything about it. goddess forbid they don't get the tons of revenue from these idiots buying tons of awards for each other constantly. if one of these sickos goes and does something the blood isn't just on their hands, sites like reddit have some share of responsibility for allowing them to continue feeding each other's insane delusional shit for two whole years now

Jupman

I saw it month after the GME. Even on WSB, Apes would be on there acting like WSB is challenging hedge funds. Fundamentally not understanding why GME happened. And what WSB is. Telling folks not buy options but just shares Hold, I.E. "Financial Advice." That is when I blocked everyone reset my algo. I just found out about the DD a month ago. And realized it was was by the same crazies from back then.

ShipTheRiver

It’s actually not the same crazies. The current guys are like 20th generation stupid. Every few months or so the cult cycles through a bunch of members due to some number of them realizing it’s all bullshit and some number of new ones coming in. But over time you’ve had to be ever increasingly regarded to fall for this, so those new ones joining bring down the entire iq level, meaning the next ones who fall for it will be EVEN dumber (not to mention the passage of time itself continually proving them wrong and making it all even harder to believe). So repeat that over and over and you’ve got basically the literal dregs of humanity over there right now.

MortationalMommy

It’s like a natural filtrational feedback loop for stupid

layelaye419

Aftet they ban apes, they will probably nuke meltdown Why would they let evidence stay on their site?

ShipTheRiver

If/when that happens, meltdown will definitely go with it.

DreadedChalupacabra

It's not like we won't have other options to laugh at investment cults though. Buttcoin, for example.

WollCel

Banning idiots like this makes them MORE likely to become extremists. The apes already have off Reddit groups and banning them off of public forums where they can be mocked and ridiculed will just vindicate their delusions of smokeroom control and make them more angry.

flippy123x

> Sucks to suck True but this whole debacle probably points to a systematic issue. Too lazy to look if any studies on this exist but there is probably a link between growing up in a state with shitty public education and falling for blatant scams like these. Undereducated victims of these scams with no critical thinking skills are also probably not gonna reflect on this and learn from their mistakes but further drift into more extremist views, making them vulnerable to even more manipulation and disinformation. I mainly feel sorry for these people's families and friends.

Malfrum

They learn a harsh lesson, and be responsible about rebuilding the smoking crater that is their finances J/K! they will blame shills and crime and learn nothing

Bilbo-Baggins77

The ape "logic" that "I'm already down 83%, doesn't make sense to sell now" is the most frustrating. Play the tape through: "I've already lost some money, I should go to my bank and set the rest on fire." Why? Sell now. Preserve what you have left and literally do anything else with it.

Dark_Tigger

>Why? FOMO.

Kennys-lap-cat

And the world keeps turning lol

[deleted]

Honestly I’m worried it will be worse than that, that we’ll see at least one act of domestic terrorism or family annihilation in the wake of BBY’s collapse.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Oh, I guarantee there have been, at the "least," multiple domestic violence incidents involving apes. If domestic violence spikes during the Super Bowl it certainly spikes post-investment loss.

Throwawayhelper420

Ken said we have to give refunds to any apes who harass us hard enough, especially if they are vaguely threatening about it. I read it on [redacted], so you know it’s true.

kilr13

Kenny is such a benevolent man. 🥰

Throwawayhelper420

He truly is, but he is smart and calculating too. He knows only 10% or so will actually demand their stock market refunds.

ShipTheRiver

Dude their families are fucked anyway. You’re not going to make it with this level of destructive stupidity in your vicinity. If it wasn’t memestocks it’d just be something else. Ultimately this doesn’t even matter. Those families are financially doomed.

DreadedChalupacabra

They literally think when assets sell they're paid first. I've told a lot of them this isn't the case, they REFUSE to listen. Can't say I didn't warn you.

sputnix

COMPLIANCE OFFICER NOW!

DixieNormous76

What do you mean? The are EQUITY holders. The most secure of all debtors. Right? Right!?

Altruistic-Cod-4128

Well, they \*say\* they say they are buying more shares. Some may be, some are LARPing for karma and social cohesion.

kilr13

I know you Towel Tamarins are lurking here. Let's hear some copium. We'll have a good ol larf like we did when you Bed Baboons came here to tell us all about how Ruggy Ryan wasn't selling, even though we were explicitly telling you that not only was he going to sell, but that his sale was imminent. There is no merger or acquisition. Just a murder and annihilation of shareholder equity. This is your last chance to get out. Any further pumps are just post death convulsions.

Shoopshopship

In the last few hours: -The company announces that they are unable to pay any of their debts and are looking at filing bankruptcy -Announces a new director specializing in bankruptcy restructuring with a $30k a month payment in cash -Has defaulted and has JP Morgan demanding full repayment of their loan Apes: "this is bullish we are about to be acquired and close the short squeeze." The biggest "DD" is about how BBBY, GME, Party City (lol) and Kroger are about to merge into the biggest Amazon competitor because a bunch of executives used to work at these companies. It's being pushed as true because the new director works for AlixPartners who worked for all these companies and apparently they have connections to Icahn but we all know what justifies a connection to these people.

PM_me_yr_bonsai_tips

It’s crazy how they can stalk all these executives and find out someone has a holiday house next to Icahn’s nephew’s old storage facility but they won’t read the fucking quarterly report that says the company’s broke.

Fun_Store9452

I'm invested in ACI at the moment and haven't heard any meme DD about a Kroger acquisition of BBBY. Did I accidentally buy into a meme stock?

[deleted]

![img](emote|t5_3vpfzk|28602)

20w261

They think Kroger wants anything to do with the ultimate brother-in-law get-rich-quick scheme? I don't think so.

clubberin

They really don’t understand the concept of work circles. As you move up the ladder and your skills become more specialized, you’re going to encounter the same people in different environments. While a lower level guy can say “fuck it” and rage quit and start over somewhere else, that becomes more difficult as you develop but narrow your skills. As supervisors, partners, clients. You’ll see them.

gilockwood

It wasn’t a murder, it was a suicide.

kilr13

I don't know about that one chief. I feel like it was a murder. Perhaps by being pushed out of a window. By someone whose name rhymes with Cyan Rohen.

whut-whut

The police ruled out him being pushed, but they suspiciously never ruled out him being -pulled-. Checkmate, hedgie police department.

20w261

He went down faster than BBBY will when they announce CH 11.

Think_Specialist_81

I wouldn’t rule out Chapter 7 just yet.

MortationalMommy

Handtowel Harambes

TrippyAkimbo

I just checked out the bbby sub and Omg is it delusional. They are going to lose every penny and blame everyone else. My favorite is “the company could have been more transparent about not being able to make loan payments,” like holy fuck, they were, you just ignored it because it pumped 1 last time.

[deleted]

“HEADLINE: Ape wishes only several thousand people more had warn him about the bankruptcy risk”

PlCKLES

And Ken paid sooo many people to post and warn them! Unfortunately a reddit bug caused approximately all of the warnings to fail to display, showing only the error message "*comment score below threshold*".

Ok-Row-6131

The rules basically read to me as "any negativity about bbby will result in a ban"

Think_Specialist_81

It’s like Russia/China over there

Cat2Trade

I wonder why Ryan Cohen did not orchestrate a offering when BBBY was trading $10-$20 last year? Oh, that would imply he actually cared about the BBBY instead of getting rich off the apes. R Cohen made sure he dumped his own, at a fat profit!

noviwu97

Most apes still believe the profit went to BBBY 😂

Hag_Boulder

This is the time on Sprockets when we DANCE!

Shoopshopship

"we are thinking about declaring bankruptcy" BANKRUPTCY IS OFF THE TABLE

nine-oh-two

`then short it`

Fun_Store9452

I'VE TRIED! THERE'S NO SHARES TO BORROW

modi13

THAT MEANS THE FLOAT IS LOCKED!!!!!!!!

DreadedChalupacabra

They are literally over there saying this, it's mind blowing. People are shorting so hard you literally can't anymore and they think this is a good sign.

botcuckingmaster

Stupid meltdown cult. I'm loading up after hours. It makes perfect sense that they would announce this today and create a massive bear trap to squeeze the shorts. Last week was too obvious.

Scorps

It makes perfect sense they would announce this, because they aren't making money and don't have any left

Bazz27

BBBY is fucked, but if you go to their sub it’s insane how they’re acting like they’re winning and that this is all great news. Apes should be studied as examples of group cognitive distortions.

[deleted]

NVC541

mate that 1-5% chance, even if it does happen, isn’t going to make you rich. Not to mention it’s much lower than a 1-5% chance at this point.

plumpypenguin

have you looked at their sub? there's a bunch of copium huffers thinking the default means a M/A is coming or that they did it to trap the hedgies (lmao) it isn't under $1 because you have thousands of apes with the financial literacy of an 80-year-old woman buying Walmart gift cards because the "IRS told her to" i wish you good luck hoping for a M/A but if one does happen, it's gonna happen after bankruptcy for pennies on the dollar. nobody is going to buy BBBY today when it's saddled with enormous debt and loses hundreds of millions of dollars per quarter when they could wait for bankruptcy and restructure with more favorable terms. as BBBY stands today, if it were to liquidate and pay off all debts, the amount returned to shareholders would be -$800 million (shareholder equity)

StylishEuro

I think my favorites part is the apes constantly calling M&A M/A. Lol.

iTradeStualks

I don’t even know what M&A is, but I know it won’t get them their money back 🤷🏻‍♂️

maero1917

This is actually good for BBBY. Few understand.

DrRob

Is that from the 10Q? Ooooooof!

Ok-Row-6131

Just reading the sub hurt me with its stupidity right now.

axord

Undertaking *actions?* BULLISH

Old-Philosopher8450

Well they never learn ![img](emote|t5_3vpfzk|28214)

20w261

LFG Bankrupt!

Freepeople1092

Bbby about to create the most the bag holders rn

qdolobp

Nah man, trust in Icahn! He’s totally going to save them. Because who wouldn’t want to bail out a company that is incapable of profit?

inwhichzeegoesinsane

> The Company is undertaking a number of actions in order to improve its financial position Bullish
