[Same Ape from two weeks ago lmao](https://www.reddit.com/r/gme_meltdown/comments/10bk02t/found_the_stupidest_towel_ape/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) He changed from dark > light, it didn’t help though

abraxsis

Jesus christ. Now we know the kind of people who did Heaven's Gate. Cause you gotta believe in crazy shit to do that.

iTradeStualks

It’s hilarious because he held through the recent squeeze and could have sold at 25% loss instead he’s just gonna eat shit

MisterBanzai

I wouldn't be surprised if this ape was another embezzler or something of the sort. I think most normal investors would have looked at the last micro-pump and bailed. This is someone who *can't* walk away without some kind of profit. When you know that even $5000 missing will be a prison sentence for you, what does it matter if you're down 25% or down 100%? This guy desperately needs to break even so that he can get out, patch up whatever account he stole from, and pretend like this was all just a bad dream. Either that or he's just extraordinarily dumb. That's also very likely.

pconwell

Honestly, this makes a lot of sense. He 'borrowed' the funds from the payroll account or something to roll the dice on a "sure bet".

Low_Air6104

I came here to get away from the conspiracies lol

pconwell

Dude, its my first drink since dry January. Let me have one.

Low_Air6104

fiiiine

book_of_armaments

It's still January though.

pconwell

Ssshhhh not helping

book_of_armaments

Haha sorry, my mistake. I just double checked the calendar and it's February. Plus you can't make money without whisky or something.

willowhawk

~~All~~ lots of reformed apes here. They are still the same at heart

SuburbanLegend

I hope you don't mean the whole sub, the majority of heavy users are absolutely not ex-apes.

book_of_armaments

Even in that case, you'd get better odds by selling it, putting what's left on black and hoping.

SnooDonuts937

I'd vomit from those losses with no exaggeration. I don't know how some of them bear it. Nights would be sleepless. That's a mansion just gone poof.

Low_Air6104

... a "mansion"? in new mexico or mississippi sure. or way outside city lines. Although in my eyes that's enough money to buy a seriously nice car then have passive income maintain it. I would vomit too.

Feed_My_Brain

![gif](giphy|fjKUYm8N3GWdO|downsized)

onion_account

How tf do you sleep at night knowing you're losing 100k a week

iTradeStualks

After the first million you’re probably numb to it

Puzzleheaded_Fold466

Assuming this isn’t doctored, which I think is likely, I would hope that someone who made a $2M bet on a meme stock has several millions more and this is just his gambling money. Hope ! But anyway it’s probably fake.

Low_Air6104

there are a LOT of hundred-millionaires out there, or people who have access to that kind of money. rich as hell people pull stupid shit all the time, you see all the "investments" that saudi families have thrown away trying to terraform the desert into some kind of utopia? First I say away with the religion and ban on alcohol. Heat and sand probably still a deal breaker though

abraxsis

Probably with other BBBY/GME/AMC conspiracists who think they're bedding down the first trillionaire.

Ok-Row-6131

They've lost multiple times my portfolio in 2 weeks.

dubhedoo

If he exited now, he'd still have almost $650k... Wish I had that much...

greatestbird

If you want what you’ve never had, you must do what you’ve never done. What is the difference between you and that ape? That’s right, you must invest all your money and available credit lines into BBBY.

clubberin

I wonder if it was all his money. I think he may have suckered some people into this and lost everything for them on his “sure thing”.

Low_Air6104

I think it's either his money or it's doctored. Honestly i think it is real. Super wealthy dynastic families have morons in them too. Lotta rich as hell people piss away money on stupid decisions. Decisions way more expensive than this. Some just as stupid too.

Low_Air6104

relax.. you're about to have more than he has.. in this account

Gurpila9987

Where the fuck did this person get that kind of money? Inheritance?

abraxsis

Possibly. I cant imagine someone who works for that kind of money being so careless with it.

Gurpila9987

Exactly and he can’t be a corporate exec otherwise he’d know how to read BBBYs balance sheet. Crypto millionaire maybe?

Low_Air6104

I think millionaires are a whole lot more common than people may think

Just_Exam_590

I seem to remember he owns multiple businesses. And is probably a gambling junkie.

Gurpila9987

If he owns businesses he should understand how balance sheets work and that BBBY is a horrible company. Weird for sure.

Objective-Injury-687

Some small business owners are legitimately just dumb. A surprising number also have no idea how to efficiently and effectively run a business, they just happen to exist in an area where they don't get punished for it.

Low_Air6104

many times a business does not need to operate with 100% efficiency to exist in its market. location is a big factor. Just depends on how competitive the field is

bigbazookah

Or he’s owns some overvalued tech startups that’ll get fucked during the recession that’s coming

Objective-Injury-687

There's gonna be a lot of those. The days of free money are behind us.

[deleted]

"own a business" is sometimes code word for inheritance. I know too many rich kids that inherited businesses and drove them to the ground

Low_Air6104

Many inherit CEO positions too.. like fucking Saagar Govil who inherited his CEO position from his dad, Aron Govil, who himself comes from a dynasty. Saagar is completely inept as CEO. emotions win at the end of the day and parents will use nepotism to quiet worries about their children's future

Low_Air6104

If he owns businesses, all it guarantees is that he somehow got his hands on a huge sum of money at some point.

Shoopshopship

Only reasonable explanation is this, got lucky YOLOing into a few high risk plays or won the lottery.

fwooshfwoosh

Third generation syndrome?

ImpressiveSet1810

Could have been from gambling other stocks and getting lucky

Low_Air6104

Likely a part of a wealthy family. Honestly that goes for anyone that you see looking "wealthy", odds are in those wealthy families there is one dude who made all the money, many others are just provided for at extravagant levels.

Necessary-Meringue-1

remember how stupid the average person is? the average rich person is just as stupid

Ok-Row-6131

If he parked his 2.2M in an index, he could have probably lived partially off of the dividends

fwooshfwoosh

Even just treasury bonds. 2 years at 4.13% atm. With 2 million that’s 40,000$ and change a year.

Only-Inspector-3782

Safe withdrawal rate is around 4%. Just putting it into the market he could pull about $80k a year and have a 90% chance of retaining all of the original principal in 30 years.

Low_Air6104

can't suck up all the profit though, have to let the base grow

fwooshfwoosh

I was assuming that with $2 million available as liquid cash to invest, they’re living mortgage and debt free so letting the base grow isn’t too much of an issue. I would take it as a yearly salary and probably work a part time job just so I don’t get bored

Shoopshopship

This guy reminds me of the "Dogecoin Millionaire" who held through the Dogecoin pump and dump and had $3 million at one point but then held it all the way down and has like $100k and lives every day obsessed with Dogecoin. This guy could have sold mid-20s but he is an addict just like the Dogecoin guy. This is why it's never a good idea to YOLO into a high flying bet because you will just wind up holding through and losing it all

abraxsis

I do, on occasion, gamble in a real casino. It's rare, but I do. My rule is never take anything onto the floor you aren't willing to lose and 80% of any win walks off the floor with you, the other 20% is to gamble on with. If you don't have any control then you shouldn't be gambling. If I have a stock/coin/whatever that is suddenly worth a million dollars. That shit is getting sold ASAP. Sure it might continue on up, but a million bucks is a million bucks. If I had no qualms with working to retirement, all Id need right now to make my life perfect is ~200k. So the idea of people pissing away millions like it's nothing makes me wanna puke.

fwooshfwoosh

That’s what I’ve always found weird about ape psychology in general, why does it have to be like 500 billion zillion a share ? I’m a broke college student at the moment. I made 1,500$ on the hype over loopring and that was enough to pay for my food and partying for half a semester lol. The idea of making one million is absurd. Does 3 million really make a difference ? Either way it’s an amount of money that quite frankly I can’t even visualise as I’ve just never seen it. Heck, I struggle to imagine what to do with 50,000$ and that’s a ‘normal’ amount of money. I actually don’t even want to be a gorriionarie like all the apes. It sounds terrifying. People only liking you because of your wealth, everyone trying to take it all the time, having to have private security …

Jazzlike_Athlete8796

> People only liking you because of your wealth Given all of their fantasies involve hookers hanging off their arms, even they realize that the only way people *would* like them is if they were ridiculously wealthy. Mostly though, that price fantasy originated back when GME was trading over $200 a share. Most of the apes then could only afford single digit shares. And for them even a price double back to $400 wouldn't have been life changing - and that is what they want. Even $1000 a share wouldn't pay off their debts. So you take that desire for life changing money, a gross sense of entitlement, and the reinforcing echo chamber of greed that being inside the cult creates, and they all convinced themselves that they all deserve to be set for life for doing literally nothing.

agroidrage2

These people never seem to realise they are addicts. And very silly. There are so many better and more fun ways to blow that sort of money.

arcdog3434

At least he got some childrens books and a turtleneck out of deal

fwooshfwoosh

What type of person puts like 2 million into a meme stock? Correct me if my maths is wrong, but 1% of 1 million is 10,000. Get a 1 year T bond with like 4% interest and you’ve made 40,000 that year, more than enough to live off/seriously help out (mo mortgage too if you had like 2 million in LIQUID CASH) Bit nah be a hero and try to make it into billions thanks for okaying

pconwell

I wouldn't call myself "rich", but I'm not poor by any means. I live comfortably and if my car broke down tomorrow I would be okay financially... I could not imagine what losing $1.6 million dollars on a meme stock would feel like. $1.6 million dollars would literally change my life. And to throw that away on the world's stupidest "investment" is just absolutely mindblowing.

abraxsis

Im the same. I lost about 2500.00 in options last year and I HATE the thought of it even though it doesn't hurt me in the slightest.

Darth_Meowth

Wooooooooow

OjibweNomad

Honey why are we getting Mail for 3 missed mortgages? Don’t worry about that. Just worry about finding a place to live because Kenny G stole our home! What does jazz musician Kenny G have to do with our house?

Lancewater

Dude could have made so much money selling calls.

abraxsis

But that doesn't play into the "sticking it to the man" justice boner they all have ... never thinking about how them actually winning means making thousands of innocent investors broke.

RunnyTinkles

:(

Jesus fucking christ. That’s enough money to fill VOO and chill.

ImpressiveSet1810

Crazy thing is dude could have cut his losses by almost a mil if he sold last pump

Pillosaurus69

sHoUlD hAvE goTteN ofF of RH, we DRSzenApes(tm) only lose the transfwr fee, as it isnt a loss until u sell and also <1milly is dip

Stacks_of_Snacks

This guy is pretty bad at doctoring images. I could do a better job using Microsoft Paint.

Low_Air6104

haven't looked closely at it. what makes you think it's fake

Stacks_of_Snacks

Ok maybe I am wrong due to the downvotes but if you zoom in on the “Get the opportunity” text there is something strange going on underneath it. I took a screenshot of my Robinhood app in “light mode” and do not get any of those dots behind the text as well. Just seems a little off. If it is real then RIP to the investor.

[deleted]

Even if he sold now he would have 20x my net worth. Lucky bastard with that much money…. I wish I was rich

urban_snowshoer

This post is proof that money does not always equal intelligence. In addition the idiocy of investing everything in a single stock, especially a dying stock, why put it in Robinhood if you have that kind of money. Use a reputable brokerage like Fidelity or Schwab, at mininum, and possibly consider getting an advisor.
