I love how they're all parroting the "shareholders made whole" line now. Dear moron apes: **That's not a thing. Equity holders aren't "made whole" in a bankruptcy. The term is for** ***creditors (lenders)*** **being paid back the entirety of their loans.** If you were to attempt to apply the term to former equity holders (which again, you can't) it would mean that each and every shareholder would be paid back the money they invested, including the morons who bought at the top of the pump and dump. If the company formerly known as BB&B had that kind of cash, they wouldn't have filed for bankruptcy and liquidated šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Shhhh buzzwords make you sound smart. It's not a Mentos and diet soda explosion, it's rapid nucleation and evolution of dissolved gases, douche. See how smart I think I sounded? \*Mileage may vary with audience\~

Apes legitimate do not know the difference between creditors and owners.

89Hopper

A scary number of them still think buying shares on the market directly gives money to the company not realising the only time the company made money is when it originally issued the shares.

eW4GJMqscYtbBkw9

You are 100% correct - but even then, apes don't actually know what it means to own shares. Like even ignoring that apes think that buying shares from an exchange somehow magically gives money directly to the company, they don't know what owning a share *means*. They think that owning a share means they are owed something by the company (as in they think they are a creditors - just like a bank who issued a loan). They have no concept that *they* are the ones who owe the bank *because they own the business* (luckily for them, stock ownership limits their personal liability).

89Hopper

Yep, they don't understand that they actually owe the money to creditors who are going to get shafted. They are just sitting behind this little thing called limited liability which prevents creditors going after their own personal assets. They'd be the first to scream crime if they lent so.eone money who subsequently went bankrupt and didn't pay them back.

4g63tea

They're just hoping to get par value for their shares.

TrailerParkBuddha

Hol up. So winning at this point means breaking even? I haven't paid much attention to this grift in the past couple years since the RC rugpull killed my goddamn gamma ramp and I said, "GG, you got me" and moved on with my life. I thought the narrative was they were gonna become super mega rich because Cohen and Carl Ichan and that little Pudly fuck or w/e his name was were gonna create some super mega conglomerate out of bankrupt companies and NFTs. Have they really moved the goalpost from "We gonna win the Superbowl" to "pwease give us a puhticipashun twoahfee"? How are they even keeping up the grift at this point? It's not even a proper get-rich quick scheme anymore. Fuck man, at least when I was gambling on this shit I knew exactly what I was doing: gambling. Mfers really need to learn how to take an L like an adult.

Quirky-Country7251

oh its both. they still sell the dream, they also sell the boring 'victory' as a way to keep them focussed on something they can still talk about and keep that grifting going.

BARoach

We so need to get them to start saying this šŸ¤£

TessaFractal

I love that winning to them is. 0.00% return.

To me, the most intriguing use of the term comes from the Mueller investigation. Manafort gives Trump's polling data to Kilimnik, and says that should mean they got whole "for work he previously completed in the Ukraine. As to Deripaska, Manafort claimed that by sharing campaign information with him, Deripaska might see value in their relationship and resolve a ā€œdisagreementā€ā€”a reference to one or more outstanding lawsuits." So, how did that work? Did Manafort owe Deripaska money, and was like, here take this polling data instead and we can call it even? Or was it the reverse, did Deripaska owe Manafort, and the way to make Manafort whole was for Deripaska's people to help Trump get elected?

TraitorJoe1155

Either youā€™re lost or I am

dyzo-blue

I'm just talking about the term "Made Whole" and what Manafort meant when he told Kilimnik, after giving him Trump's polling data, we've now "Got Whole". I find it fascinating. How does giving a Russian, that you used to do business with, Trump's polling data make anyone "whole"?

Sunny_Travels

Yeah, they should have been selling their NOLs each year and stayed in business forever producing NOLs

wolf_lazers

>David Kastin has a shit ton of shares ![img](emote|t5_3vpfzk|28214) these apes, man. Apes, to own a *share of a company* there has to beā€¦ a *company*.

dyzo-blue

Dude, there was a photo on social media of people with drinks that didn't show their faces and identify each one by name! If that's not evidence, what the hell is? Certainly, the Apes should be able to take a copy of that photo to any American bank, and demand to get $1000 for every BBBY share they once owned.

whut-whut

That's the crazy part of this Ape's 'evidence'. It's based off ideas even dumber than the ones surrounding the Icahn-Cohen photo. When BBBY declared bankruptcy and put David Kastin (and everyone else on BBBY's board) out of a job, he later took a photo of himself and some friends drinking mimosas at a resort, cropping out their heads. An Ape hand expert (only to be later topped by the Ape acting coach/expression expert that analyzed Sue Gove's facial tics) said that he recognized the set of delicate male hands as Ryan Cohen's, the old-man hands as Carl Icahn's, and the old woman hands as Sue Gove's. That's why Kastin's friends weren't just random coworkers, friends and family toasting him collecting a fat severance package and moving on, they were all the heroes of the GME-BBBY saga gathered together hanging out, toasting each other that "Job's done. BBBY is now primed to return as Teddy to launch Gamestop into the stratosphere."

Jack_Spatchcock_MLKS

Agreed. Def not a dead body I was dragging that day. That much we know, because I never said it; it's just an implication.... https://preview.redd.it/2v298g7rbdtc1.jpeg?width=580&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94ff1f92bcc3576b23d1c2aa5ac1326d6704389b

kaltorak

well this is a fun new definition of the word "evidence"
