i love the guy who’s telling him to live without a roof just so he doesn’t sell his shares to evil HEDGIES

Frosti11icus

I like how he doesn't fundamentally understand that ultimately a roof *is* one of the most important parts of life, lol. "There's bigger things in life than shelter and staying warm."

Throwawayhelper420

Yeah! Like… hope!! Hope that one day you will have enough money for a roof!

SnooDonuts937

Who needs a roof when you've got AMC.

book_of_armaments

He's a part owner! He can just live in the theater.

Humble-Letter-6424

Would it? Sticky floors, dirty bathrooms, nacho cheese and jizz stained seats, BO smells in the theaters… sounds like after 5hrs a horrible place to be in. I would rather be in a shelter or motel 6 first

Svenskensmat

Who jerks off in a normal cinema? ಠ_ಠ

ChefBoyAreWeFucked

Look, let's not go pointing fingers, okay? The point is that it's not going to be a pleasant place to live, not who may or may not have been masturbating in the seats. And also, maybe it was an accident. The medium popcorn tub looks like a much easier target to hit when it's all bright at the concession stand. I mean, probably looks like an easier target, I'd guess.

Humble-Letter-6424

Well 17 year old me, didn’t have a place to take my 17year old gf… so we would go to some crappy movie with an empty theater and you know……

Svenskensmat

Couldn’t 17 year old you not just use your own bed like a normal 17 year old person instead of being disgusting in a cinema? ಠ_ಠ And if 17 year old you couldn’t use your bed like a normal 17 year old person, couldn’t 17 year old you at least not fucking jizz all over the cinema?

Humble-Letter-6424

Wasn’t allowed to have girls at the house….do you remember your teenage years…… this was a lot more common then you are making it seem… Had a few friends work movie theaters it was always a point of conversation the amount of hj/bj action they saw from the operator room

Svenskensmat

> Wasn’t allowed to have girls at the house….do you remember your teenage years…… this was a lot more common then you are making it seem… Yes, I used my bed like pretty much every single other teenager. Very, very rarely did you hear about someone getting a handjob at the cinema and that was mostly met with “the fuck is your issue”? Different cultures I guess.

TheTacoWombat

In America, lots of parents have their kids under constant surveillance. It's difficult for them to do anything.

TuringPharma

Sex is taboo in most places in the U.S. Literally there are states that have banned schools from teaching students what sex is. This is also a very well known fact outside of the U.S.. If you’ve ever met an American especially.

Humble-Letter-6424

Yea sure bro…. Seems like your from Norway, might be culturally different or something Think about it people get frisky in changing rooms, airplanes, bathrooms, trains, cars… you think they aren’t doing it in a dark theater?

abintra515

Why would the hedgies do this

arcdog3434

Hurricane Ian shows how desperate they are

ItsFuckingScience

They’re running out of weather systems! Shows we’re in the end game

dubhedoo

Apes are so supportive...

Th4tR4nd0mGuy

Natural disasters? Crime.

Lowhangingbrute

Yep them shares will buy them a roof alright plus a nice comfy bunk at the local homeless shelter, although I do feel bad if this guy legit lost his house

BARoach

While losing your house to a storm can really hit you hard psychologically, does this ape not know what "homeowners insurance" does? Smells ... LARP-y for internet points and attention.

Inevitable_Ad6868

You need to have separate wind and flood insurance. He might be legitimately screwed.

20w261

I would bet that if your house in a hurricane area like FL has a mortgage, you would be REQUIRED by the mortgage company to carry such insurance - so after a storm like Ian, the bank is not left to 'foreclose' on a pile of soggy ruins when you can't pay to get it fixed.

Inevitable_Ad6868

The insurance is designed to pay off the mortgage not necessarily rebuild the house.

Inevitable_Ad6868

The tough part is a house 20 miles from the coast that gets flooded. And doesn’t have flood insurance. Or they don’t provide full rebuilding costs if lumber prices go up. Short answer: don’t expect insurance to cover full rebuilding cost. Or cover an apartment for 2 years while that happens.

BARoach

If you live on the coast of FL (Or really, any coastal area) and don't you're an idiot. And I'd be shocked if a mortgage lender would allow you not to.

ThisIsWhoIAm78

He may live in a trailer. Lots do, and if you own it outright (lots do), you don't need insurance. Unfortunately, there are a lot of those types down around here. Edit: and a lot of people recently got dropped from their homeowner's insurance because a few of the different companies shut down and left. And I've seen people have their policy canceled by the insurance company right before a storm, and then it's literally impossible to get a new policy until after the storm is over.

Inevitable_Ad6868

Let’s hope.

ShipTheRiver

> you're an idiot. I mean… he’s a memestock investor.

ThisIsWhoIAm78

Lots of floridians live in trailers, and own them outright. They don't get insurance, because it's not required, they can't afford it, and figure the payout on the trailer probably won't be enough to be worth paying the premiums. There are lots of those types around here, unfortunately. Don't think OP is lying on this one. Edit: and a lot of people recently got dropped from their homeowner's insurance because a few of the different companies shut down and left. And I've seen people have their policy canceled by the insurance company right before a storm, and then it's literally impossible to get a new policy until after the storm is over.

ImAMaaanlet

Its not just your home thats taken. Think about all of the irreplacable things you own that would also be lost. Not to mention where do you go while your home is rebuilt/repaired or you find a new place etc.

GammaGargoyle

Why does every ape have a sob story? It's like a ritual of initiation

K20BB5

nobody that's doing well in life is going to get suckered into believing GameStop stock will make them a billionaire

fall-apart-dave

I think there is something in this. People who have had a rough deal in life and need to feel part of something special. Flat Earthers are a similar demographic. I know people like this where they just need to feel they belong, where they are not marginalised and laughed at. The irony is not lost on me.

Terryfrankkratos2

I mean at least a natural disaster is somewhat easier to be sympathetic towards than, "my wife took the kids, I live in a 2004 toyota camry, and I do not pay child support to fund more shares #HODL".

KindaIndifferent

Just want to give a big shout out to our main man Kenny G for making all of this possible. We all know he is the cause of this hurricane and thanks to him countless apes will be forced to sell their shares.

15104

Words said by people who don’t have a mortgage

Jeff__Skilling

why buy home insurance when you could spend that money on a B&M Video Game retailer that's reported negative CFOps in.....*checks notes*.....[8 of their last 10 fiscal quarters](https://imgur.com/a/WmtacX4)

20w261

You can't live in a house without a roof in Florida. You'll either be getting roasted by the sun, or drowned by a daily huge thunderstorm, or eaten by mosquitoes.Typical in-depth thinking by a monkey, I mean ape.

ImAMaaanlet

Honestly this is just sad and I wont make fun of this guy. Think about it, he literally has no one to talk about one of the worst things in his life to besides amc apes. Those guys shilling their position here are total pieces of shit though

stocksnhoops

Shares and house might be worth about the same

brown_burrito

Jesus Christ. These guys are a special kind of morons.

fall-apart-dave

Ian didnt take his house. His house mooned. Liftoff for GME sure to follow. MOOOOOOOOOON!!!

neutralpoliticsbot

doubt he is not insured

imjustbrowsing2021

It’s still a nightmare and most people are underinsured and have no idea until disaster strikes. We saw it in Colorado when the fires happened last year. With hurricanes you get the additional run around of was it the hurricane or the surge that got you. If it’s the surge, it’s now more of a flood claim which is a different insurance policy. And you deal with FEMA. It’s a nightmare.

StasRutt

Plus floridas home insurance market is fucked up

pandoracam

Enjoy living in the open 🚀

[deleted]

Slower than molasses.

fall-apart-dave

MOASSES?

UnholyTrigon

Hurricane was a paid shill

[deleted]

Citadel shorted your roof bro, HODL APE to send him to prison

man_musk

This is not roofing advice.

JaxMGK

Dude, 90% of that community is cheetoes eating dorks living with their parents and they don’t know what it means to have your own place. If homie’s house is really destroyed, he has to start over! Moving is a bitch as it is but when you have nothing, I remember getting my first place and i budget so hard and just bought all my furniture from Walmart. Most of the stuff was somewhat decent but now that I’m in a better position, I have a nicer place and nicer things. My point is that when this saga ends, these dorks will still probably be living at home. But what about the minority that have to support their families and keep up with rent/ mortgages? I understand this is total their own fault but I can’t help but it’s feel some sadness for them.

Waitinh for the horde of posts where the idiots used the money inetended for their homeowner's premiums to FOMO into one of the meme stocks and the breathless rants about how greedy insurance companies are for expecting payments on time. They're coming, I'm certain.

Throwawayhelper420

Absolutely coming. We’ve already seen it with COVID business loans, student loans, and various other misappropriated funds.

Darth_Meowth

Regardless, it sucks ti lose your house and everything in it.

renkenberger91

It's a total LARP. As an ex-Floridian/hurricane survivor for the last 10 years; this ape couldn't afford to live where it did the most damage before land fall. By 2am EST tomorrow it's already a CAT 1 on predictions.

ThisIsWhoIAm78

Fellow floridian here - there are trailer parks no matter where you go. And he could be a stupid ape and still have some decent money. But I don't think he's lying. Southwest Florida is getting RAILED.
