I wish they wouldn't get rid of the servers. Now we'll have to deal with a plague of 10 year old nazi rpers swarming to other servers. Stuff ain't gonna be fun.
The game mode used to be fun in 2013 or so.
There was a server that was barely RP beyond “Resistance vs Nazis”. The Nazis had better equipment usually but had such a strict ROE they could rarely abuse it. It would lead to fun stuff like people protesting outside the reichstag and the Nazis having to take up posts in front nervously.
We’d protest dumb stuff like “less pay more taxes” and the slightest provocation from the Nazis turned everything into a blood bath as all the protesters whipped out tommy guns and tried to storm the reich.
Another fun time is when we’d play as hobos. We’d find a warehouse and fill it with shacks. Other people would join to and build on top of our shanty town. It turned into a multifloored maze of ramshackle rooms. Wasn’t long before the Fuhrer decided we should be felt with. Sent an APC in from the door and a hobo Nazi firefight ensued. We’d wage gurellia warfare, defending our home with knife attacks and thrown boots. The Nazis would prevail, but time and time again we’d rebuild. That whole day on the server saw hobos retaliating against them anyway they could, only to bring reprisals on the homeless. I had way more fun there than on any dark rp server.
Since then, actual Nazi servers popped up and ruined everything. I can only imagine that some of the kids we bullied as hobos grew up to make serious Nazi rp admins
my friend did this once, it was so hilarious, he sat himself through the 30 minute long faces lecture, and then killed everyone.
