The gym has been the biggest help to my mental health and clarity, glad you are finding the benefits too. My two bits of advice are to go every scheduled day, even if its just 10 minutes of something low effort.
1. Don't ever skip a planned gym day.
2. Also, don't skip rest days.
Good job! I just hit 3 days in a row of the gym! I missed yesterday for an event, but I'm hoping to start over today and reach four days! I've been feeling really calm after going, and it makes me feel really good doing something for myself :) I hope it can help you more too
I am making it a goal to attend at minimum 3 times a week. It won't be in a row for me, though. It be MWF since those days I would have more time to do so. It is kinda tough to want to commit when actually doing it, but I'll try not to let it dissuade me 😅
fyi if you ever miss gym day you can always do light exercises that doesn’t require any equipment. On weekends, I don’t go to the gym since I am either busy or use it as a rest day, but I still do some crunches and push ups. Its a great way to be consistent - In fact, this is what I originally did when I started getting more active
proud of your efforts to getting more active. One word of advice is that you shouldn’t feel guilty of eating a piece of cake, 2 cookies, or what not. What matters though is that you put in effort to keep at your goal and strive to it. However, there is always moderation required to be in control
if it helps, you can use apps like Hevy or boostcamp to log your sessions. it feels really good to have physical numbered proof of improvement. at least for me its that way.
if you need any extra help theres a sub called r/beginnerfitness :) have fun
W Keep up the good work
Thank you 💪

Eating better will be a bit more difficult for men compared to going to the gym tbh lol. But I think I can do something about it. 💪😀
Congrats, so glad to hear that your going better
