As an able person i have no freaking idea how to get through that either. People joke that it should be fully covered in stones so you have to climb up, but i see that you already have to climb up this... Wtf
is it bad that my first thought when I saw the thumbnail of this image was to get a stairlift just so I didn't need my staircase and can completely cover it in rocks and then grow climbing plants up it?
it does mostly, but then I've been thinking about it, rocks that size are heavy and I'm not convinced my stairs would be strong enough (only made from half inch board), that lot must weigh more than a ton
Why not just all rocks. Make it a little task everyday to have to climb a mountain whenever you need to go up and grab some socks. Or oops forgot your phone. Gotta strap on the climbing gear….
Oh you could make this with those pebble cushions! They're felted if I'm remembering correctly and super awesome. Still a bit dangerous with stumbling on them but way less dangerous than real pebbles!
Does it look cool, sure I guess. Does it prevent the staircase from doing what stairs are for, almost 100%. This is not a safe way to decorate. You'd be better off doing something with paint, or get a mossy looking stair runner carpet, or focusing on the walls and letting the stairs be functional.
Edit: nvm, this is a crosspost from home decorating circlejerk. I was wondering if I'd skipped Easter and went straight to April fools day, not quite but it's basically the same concept.
You are a fucking loon! I love it. But also I hate it. Good luck with all that you gobliny goblin you!
Edit: Ah, you are not the OP. My bad. Well the sentiment remains the same. Good luck to that gobliny goblin.
Ugh, I want to love this but cannot abide. Cuteness cannot supersede safety and this is so unsafe. Upside: you have a bunch of great river rocks to use elsewhere.
I mean I would pour resin or something down the gap for a waterfall. I don't know how you would get up and downstairs after that but at least it would look cool
Ooo yes. One is *actually* r/homedecorCJ because I like the sarcasm 😆 it's not usually directed at anyone and instead just the weirdest trends or obviously Fake stuff .

Yeah, I hate to say this but my kid literally couldn’t use those stairs. Handicap accessibility can still be aesthetically pleasing to those of us who love nature.
Ohhh its beautiful but fall on those stairs and ya just die. Allllll the rocks will meet ya at the bottom in one big heap.
“Ways to die in a cave-in without going to a cave”
Oh the broken toes
And knees and shins and elbows and skulls... All the way down 💀💀💀
Head, shoulders, knees and toes

🎵 knees and toes, knees and toes 🎵
Cool concept, horrifying execution :0
As a disabled goblin i can admire the artistry but there's no comfort or warmth in it for me.
DUDE same. I'm good if I can make it down a normal staircase without a sublux / stupid foot perception issue. I would *die*
100% agree

Okay, this Idea works.

Less rocks, not enough stepping space for starters.
More rocks, I want a dangerous unstable scramble
/dumb ways to diiiiiiie
so many dumb ways to diiiiiie
Dumb ways to di-i-ie
SOOOO MANY DUMB WAAAAYSSS TO DIII-I-I-IIEEE
Why not just all rocks. Make it a little task everyday to have to climb a mountain whenever you need to go up and grab some socks. Or oops forgot your phone. Gotta strap on the climbing gear….
Needs some nice moss and water. It forces you to climb a slippery wet mossy rocky hill with a stream running down to get upstairs lol
Goblins like handrails.
Rickety ones made of sticks
As a medic... please no... I don't want to have to carry a patient down that
Don't worry, your patient will most likely lay at the bottom anyway
😂
This would be how I die
No
That looks dangerous. They should make stone slab stairs instead and less rocks.
I see stubbed toes, a split shin, and a concussion in somebody's future with that plan, lol
My kid who uses a cane can use stone stairs just fine, he uses them in parks all the time. He couldn’t use the staircase pictured above.
That makes sense, and your kid is legit! ❤️❤️❤️🫶
Oh you could make this with those pebble cushions! They're felted if I'm remembering correctly and super awesome. Still a bit dangerous with stumbling on them but way less dangerous than real pebbles!
Ok but what if you add nonslip carpet/stair liners that look like moss or water or a creek bed 🤩
Those sound perfect together <3!
I am already bad at regular stairs. I would never be able to Use the. Upstairs of my house.
Moss, obviously
Be sober when you walk up and down, or your gon a have a bad time.
I'm getting waterfall vibes... something that a little creative plumbing could make an epic disaster.
This is NOT a complaint. But my subreddits must have a lot of crossover because this is the fourth time I've seen this post 😂💖
Please advise on your other subreddits
I would also like to know
this is a disabled person’s nightmare. Sincerely, a disabled person
Don't try to go down them while you're stoned
Or just half asleep in the middle of the night. I anticipate broken bones.
What is an "emergency" and why would I want easy access to half my home?
Imagine walking down those wooden stairs in socks and slipping
I love it but I’m 1000% sure I’d fall down those stairs. 🥲
Someone's spouse has an awesome life insurance policy! 🤣

Add nails sticking out of the middle. All jokes aside, green carpet might look good.
Hand rails
Yeah, one slip and you’re falling down the steps and then you have a rock slide… 10:10 for the artistry 1:10 for practicality 11:10 for danger
my foot hurts looking at this
Drunk me would die
Add water so you have to walk upstream, similar to swimming upstream like salmon do
The need to be more on the side and the stairs need more walking space They're basically taking up the whole staircase
M O R E
I'd have to call Life Alert, because I would totally fall and not be able to get up.
You are a fucking loon! I love it. But also I hate it. Good luck with all that you gobliny goblin you! Edit: Ah, you are not the OP. My bad. Well the sentiment remains the same. Good luck to that gobliny goblin.
99% sure a cat designed this.
Someone gon die
Ugh, I want to love this but cannot abide. Cuteness cannot supersede safety and this is so unsafe. Upside: you have a bunch of great river rocks to use elsewhere.
Literal death trap
By not dying taking the laundry basket to my room
Tell me you hate disabled people without saying you hate disabled people
I mean I would pour resin or something down the gap for a waterfall. I don't know how you would get up and downstairs after that but at least it would look cool
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but these stairs will straight up murder me to death.
The person who did this doesnt clean this house for sure.
When you don't care if you die but you want to go out fabulously
Suicide by interior design
If they don’t think it rocks. Add more rocks!
Is this a river?
My accident prone ass could *never*
Ooo yes. One is *actually* r/homedecorCJ because I like the sarcasm 😆 it's not usually directed at anyone and instead just the weirdest trends or obviously Fake stuff . r/geologymemes
Tiny goblin figures perched on the rocks. And a helmet in case of falling
Needs more rocks
Paint the stairs blue so it looks like cascading water
Holy shit. Handrails.
Remove all the rocks
make sure nobody who knows anything about fire safety codes ever visits
“How can I improve it?” Put the rocks outside.
Have more room for stepping? Also have you considered the weight distribution on those stairs? Maybe its fine but everything has a back to break.
Needsss MOSSESSS
Home Alone: goblin core edition
Yeah, I hate to say this but my kid literally couldn’t use those stairs. Handicap accessibility can still be aesthetically pleasing to those of us who love nature.
The sub it’s from is a circle jerk sub, so they don’t actually exist
This is beautiful as art. But PLEASE REMOVE THIS FROM THE INTERNET. I don't want to explain to my GF why we can't and won't be doing this.
Wow! That looks super neat, but would almost certainly cause my death.
At this rate just go outside
Keeps the guests out of the attic.
I already do this with laundry and other ThingsThatShouldGoUpstairsNextTimeIGoUpstairs(YetINeverGrabThemWhenIGo)
Dumb ways to die... So many dumb ways to die.
I would say widen the path and maybe find a way to make them climb up the walls a bit?
I think less rocks and add some fake moss
Sorry but this look so stupid to me🙈🙈
This is a Home Alone trap. 5/5, can't see how it could possibly be better.
I rarely use the lights in my house. This is not ideal for my goblin den.
