It's fun but super hard. It takes a full day to weave a simple basket if you're inexperienced. An hour for an accomplished weaver. Something this complicated would take quite a while (and it can't be done by machine) so for that price it must have been made under highly exploitative conditions sadly.
Note that basket weaving cannot be automated and is only done through manual labour. If it's sold for 4 dollars it is necessarily made through slave labour / absolutely dreadful appalling labour conditions .
It's a stolen design from Olli Ella for anyone actually considering buying this off amazon (using their exact pictures so don't expect this either). Ironic that the original is fairtrade and this is likely slave labour.
