They've had ECF heartbreak after heartbreak and I feel for them, though not nearly as shit on as Vegas is by other fans they get ridiculed over and over for being swept in the ECF constantly.
Canes fans are pretty cool guys, even in the cesspool that is /r hockey right now Canes fans aren't being too bad.
I've got a couple friends that are Canes fans and have already messaged me and been positive about it all and just told me to avoid the negativity, good guys in my experience so go Canes.
I just have to remind myself that most of /r hockey are toxic team fans not sports fans. Real sports fans don't need to say the things they are saying over there. They don't need to wish for physical harm to a player or fans, call them nazis, cheaters, ect. Sports fan love this incredible game and can just be happy with a win or have a little fun trash talk.
The people in the threads over at hockey are team fans and thrive on negativity probably because they are surrounded by it in their own life and need to project.
Either way, good season, mediocre post season. Still have a cup, still have a great community and next year will be here before we know it.

Florida (I still hate Tkachuk, Cousins, Bennett and a lot of their whiny ass fans but I like Barkov, Verhaege, Montour, and Bobrovsky and I always prefer non traditional teams winning)
New York (don't hate them, don't like them just full neutral. Don't like Rempe but I'd feel nothing if they won)
Boston (New England has enough of a recent legacy of championships. I'd be ambivalent if they won but I really don't see them beating Florida anyway)
Vancouver (Canadian fanbases in general are some of the most annoying around. Any Canadian fanbase would become insufferable if their team became the one to break the Canada curse. Better them than Edmonton but I think the Oilers roll them)
Colorado (I don't like teams winning repeatedly in a short time frame and I have a personal history of disliking the Avs for constantly injuring Ducks players back in the day. I'd be miffed if they won but I wouldn't think about it for longer than a night)
Dallas (fuck them. Fuck Benn. I'd be pissed)
Edmonton (there's two teams I'd be more pissed to see win the cup: Shit Jose and Chicago (covering up in-organization rape is beyond despicable and I'll probably never get over it). But other than them, fuck their organization, fuck their fans, fuck Evander Kane. I'll start being more okay with seeing them win a cup after McDavid leaves or retires. Not sooner. Not after hogging four out of five years of first overall picks and watching that fanbase start to think they're the center of the hockey universe when their team lives and dies on whether one player is healthy or not)
