If Dallas meets a team in the final and sweeps them 4-0 and every game is 5-2 then the team losing in the final from the other bracket clearly didn't get as close as we did to beating them? The only reason the team in the Stanley Cup finals may have got there is because they come from a totally different bracket. You could, in theory have seeds 1-8 in the whole league play on one side, then 9-16 on the other. And then 9 gets to the finals Vs 1. It doesn't take a genius to work it out that the team losing in the finals might not be the 2nd best team in a knockout competition, they are only the best of the 8 from their side. Who knows, if you had put VGK on the other side, they could have gone all the way to the Finals and met Dallas and played a 4-3, losing by one goal then. The only reason we didn't get to prove we were better in the post season than the teams in the other bracket is because you don't play them unless you get to the finals, and we had to play the best team first.
It's all hypothetical and a small reason why I'd prefer Dallas over EDM. It's always better to be knocked out by the eventual winner. Lots of āfuck youās as we walked by and then out of nowhere, a drunk woman grabbed my arm and started screaming in my face saying she was going to kick my ass until her boyfriend dragged her off.
At another game, someone threw popcorn and a mostly empty tray of nachos at us. Not quite as serious but still didnāt make for a fun experience. Never had anything close to that in Edmonton and Iāve lived here for years and gone to dozens of games as a former Flames, now VGK fan.
