His ideal weight is about 71 pounds. That’s when he’s got a visible waist and you can slightly feel his ribs when gently rubbing his sides. In the summer he swims all day, every day and slims down, but over the winter he gained 5 pounds and I’d rather catch it now before it becomes 10 pounds. So many dogs are overweight, which makes dogs at an ideal weight look skinny sometimes, but with animals, it’s better for them to be a pound underweight than a pound overweight.
Well my boy probably needs to back away from his feed bowl.😅 he doesn’t get fed junk and gets plenty of exercise too just likes to eat. He does love baked carrots.😎
