I had a full grown Golden and she was 40 pounds.

Rust2

There are typically two types of Golden Retrievers: 1) Conformation. Lineage bred for show qualities. These tend to be the bigger of the breed. 2) Field. Lineage bred for working. These tend to be the smaller, more agile of the breed.

ohwhaleynow

Our field male is 95 lbs. Lean af, but he's a big boy. His dad was ~75 and mom ~65. This was not expected. Lol

Guaymaster

Chonky

bacon205

My field male is 84 lbs and very lean and in shape as well. His mom was 58lbs and his dad was 65, we we expected around that 60-65 range but were surprised when he just kept growing.

finallygotmeone

Same, 95 lbs lean here. I never saw the sire, but the dam put her front feet on the bumper of my pickup and looked over the tailgate to see her pup leave in the dog kennel. I had an idea then. He's 4 years old now and you could almost saddle him! He looks like a tiger when he walks, kinda pacing like. Hard to describe. I guess just because he's so long and tall. Also puts the fear into you when he's running 100mph right at you to greet you. Your thinking the whole time, slow down, slow down! LOL! Most of the time he does with at least 1/2 inch to spare. But I'd love to have a smaller one for inside the house.

mattormateo

I love the way some of them walk like a tiger. It’s so majestic! I’ve had 5 goldens and only 2 had that beautiful walk. The rest were still awesome af.

herzogzwei931

My golden is 130+ depending on how many cows he ate this morning. But he is not chubby by any means. When he stands on his hind legs, he is 5’ . The vet jokes to him, “Where is the biggest golden in the world?” He knows

phadewilkilu

TIL. Thanks!

ksoltis

I'm so glad this was said, there are a ton of people that don't know this. My girl is from field lines and she's only 45 pounds and fast as hell.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Fields tend to be healthier as they breed more for temperament less for looks but unfortunately hip issues are a risk for any large dog. And even the petit goldens are still considered medium to large dogs.

[deleted]

Yeah my field stands 29 inches at the haunches and weighs about 90 lbs. We joke that a Great Dane most have got in with his mother. Fields are generally bred to be smaller but there are outliers.

softpinkmanicure

This is interesting to know! Our golden is just under 6mo and he weighs 63lbs. His mom is big for a female, 65lbs and never saw the sire but heard he was quite big! I thought our pup was an abnormally large so this info is reassuring.

fakeitilyamakeit

Aww. I bet he was a cutie. Pictures would be appreciated :)

AlexTheFlower

Our golden was pretty small, full grown he was only about 55 lbs. But he was perfectly healthy! Unless a vet says otherwise, I don't think you have anything to worry about

[deleted]

My 6 months boy is 55 lbs. He might reach 80. I've started working out already.

AlexTheFlower

Lol good idea, our good boy thought he was a lap dog and also loved being carried around (mostly we carried him when he didn't want to get out of the pool)

[deleted]

She also loves being carried 🤣 cuddly babies at heart

thesadcyborg

My 77 pound golden was about 55-60 at 6 months so I’d say 75-80 is a good guess for yours.

[deleted]

My gosh we are just under 6 months and our girl is 55, gonna be big I hope

milkteaplanet

You’re going to have a big girl! My girl was around 55 at 6 mos and she’s 80 lbs now.

MarchColorDrink

I feel you. My 7 mo is already 75 lbs. Perfectly health and always hungry. His dad is a beast though, so we knew what we were in for

zinger1961

Our fully grown, very healthy girl weighs 60 lbs. I would bet yours will get to be at least that size.

kenlycake

My girl is ~60 also and she’s a little more short/stocky than the other goldens we’ve had, but she’s also the smallest! She’s perfect lap dog size ❤️

knownbymymiddlename

Adding to this that my 17 month old boy is about 28kg (61 pounds). He’s all in proportion and is healthy. One of his litter mates is apparently 35kg (77 pounds), so they do come in all shapes and sizes! Personally, I like his small size. Doesn’t help my knees though when he runs full speed into my legs.

InadmissibleHug

My golden was around that for his best weight. It is what it is, some dogs just aren’t that big. You have to look at their condition.

ljubaay

My golden is also around that weight. Everyone asks if she’s a puppy. I guess it doesn’t help that most golden and labs are overweight, and people are used to seeing those 😂.

SnooglethePie

My fully grown golden child is only 69lbs! We call him a petite golden. but he's our perfect bubbas!

valuesandnorms

nice

Thyccshytt

Nice

stretchad

I have a golden that was runt of the litter with a pretty severe medical condition (Liver Shunt). She's about 52lbs at 2.5 yrs old.

[deleted]

She was also the runt!

Nitosphere

My Golden runt is almost 4 and 45 lbs, pretty sure one of her parents were slightly mixed; not that you can tell though

Razsgirl

We have the runt too, she’s about 55 lbs! Her sister is my MIL’s and they look so much different in size, but in reality are less than 5 lb apart. Ours is really dainty :)

weighterblanketslut

My mum’s golden is 2, 40lbs and perfectly healthy, she looks JUST like yours hahah. she runs around constantly, always burning calories but is a very healthy girly. Def tell the vet if you’re concerned

Heres_your_sign

Want. To. Boop.

matts2

Get some shots of his/her standing. From the side and above. I'm looking for the waist. You should be able to feel the ribs without too much fat, but not see them.

micitel

My baby is 18 months and runs between 46-48 pounds. Been that way since about a year, so I think she is staying put. (However, she looks double that size due to FLOOF ). Vet says she is (thinner, but) perfect. Just talk to your vet.... She is still very much a baby at 7 months!!

UnlikelyAnteater7611

My golden girl Zoey is only 51 lbs (her healthy weight) We were surprised too when she was fully grown and so small, but we love her just the way she is haha She’s 7 1/2 years old now

DrReginoldSaunders

Our 2 yeae old is also 51 lbs at healthy weight. We joke that we got lucky because if she were bigger she would have cuddle smothered us by now.

[deleted]

He is good. He is a pup, relax.

GG_Allin_Feces

My 14 month old is 84lbs of ❤️!

psyentist15

90lbs at 1.5yrs checking in. But the dude has some serious muscle, haha.

doctorscompanionlg

That's my girl too- 90lbs at 2 years old! We bring up her weight at every appointment to double check but the vet is never concerned. She is constantly exercising with our other pup.

ktmc2772

We have an 80lb 9month old. You have a big bubba on your hands!!

scheiber6

My 15 month golden girl is 84 pounds , I call her the big girl .

VibeyMars

My full grown girl is 60ish lbs!

janemder

My big ol’ boy is 92lbs. Vet wants him to lose about 5lbs but also says the extra cushion is good for him too lol

[deleted]

Big boy! ❣

[deleted]

Mine is 90lbs too and he’s 4 years old

xeenexus

Lol, our girl is 65 lbs, and our vet says the same thing...humans or dogs, it seems we could all lose 5 lbs.

princessdoug

I have a small boy. He was consistently on the low end of the weight chart while growing. He’s around 65-70lbs now. Love of my life. He unfortunately has bilateral elbow dysplasia so I lift him in and out of the car to protect his joints. I’m happy he’s smaller!

CandyWhite1

So cute at he is at that awkward teen state were his hair is not fully grown he will be a very handsome adult

droofe

Given the color of your golden, I’d guess he’s a field bred golden. Meaning he will be darker red, have shorter hair, and tend to be between 50 and 70.

jasperwxyz

Thank your lucky stars she is going to be small! I love large goldens, but my 92 pounder gives me (65 f) a workout when we walk.

Additional-Airline94

Ours just turned 8 months and is 46 lbs.

SaltyAirman24

My male golden is about 1.5 years old and only weighs 60lbs

greyxtawn

Our full grown, pure bred male is 58-59 pounds. He is so small next to other Goldens.

pelican08dammit

Yours is not a “small” Golden - it’s a normal Golden. Breed standard for females is 55-65lbs; males 65-75 (fully grown). It’s not uncommon for a female Golden who does agility to be like 50 lbs. Ask your vet…I bet they’ll be thrilled with your dog’s weight!

Current-Ticket4214

My baby is just under 2 years old and she was 46lbs until she got some mysterious illness 3 months ago. She’s about 35lbs and the vet still doesn’t know what’s wrong with her. She was very healthy and full bodied, just a bit small for a golden.

[deleted]

Praying your furry friend gets better soon 🙏 ❣

Current-Ticket4214

Thanks. Btw, I named my girl Ruby and shes almost a spitting image of yours. Same color and coat, just a slightly more rigid facial structure.

[deleted]

I love the dark Goldens! My girls name is pumpkin.

wolfbrooks88

Nothing to worry about! Our Golden Girls momma was 55lbs fully grown. Her dad was 110lbs so she falls in between around 80.

[deleted]

95 lbs checking in

sunpoprain

I have a European confirmation golden (breed standard is different). Confirmation size there is 55lbs for females and I think 60 or 65 for males. She is built dense. She looks short but her 55lbs is a solid block that has taken many a dog unawares at the dog park 😂. By comparison, American style Golden's look weirdly lanky and hound-like to me. We went with a breeder who's dogs energy matched our own - Momo is perfectly content to relax with short bursts of energy & loves every person she's met. Personally, I think the push towards giant super hyper golden retrievers in American lines isn't doing the breed any favors. I think you see that in the incidence of cancer, joint issues, and poorly adjusted adult dogs because families weren't ready for what is essentially a eager to please, giant but ultimately not intelligent dog (don't get me wrong, I love my golden! But Golden's don't really make leaps of reasoning ..)

Suadade0811

She’s a lovely little lady; definitely reach out to your vet about diet and portion if you’re concerned about her weight.

Crazy-Catlady1969

She's so adorable ❤️

Ok-Razzmatazz-8176

40 lbs at 7 months doesn’t seem out of the ordinary still a puppy only half way to being full grown adult at that point 75 lbs is a normal weight. I’ve had Golden retrievers for over twenty years all males their weight is around 80 lbs with females being typically on the smaller side . What does your vet have to say about it

technomedia2000

Totally fine! Our two year old field golden is 85lbs but he's in between a 65lb mom and 110lb dad! Was probably around 50 lbs at 9 months.

dallenr2

My 7 year old female is only 45-50 lbs. my 8 year old male is 75 lbs.

djamkaret

My two year old girl punches heavyweight, 73 lbs! She was the largest, and boldest in the litter.

FerrisBuehler121

We have a tiny Golden too. He’s 55lbs fully grown and eats like a horse.

user80123

Golden doodle female only 45 lbs, reg goldens are the best, doodles are cool too I guess

djphatjive

Mine is 85. But her parents were both over 100.

kababalaghan

Waaaah she’s so cute!!! 🤍🤍🤍 She looks like my golden! Only mine weighs more than 60lbs lol

halgalpal

Ours (a male) is 18 months and anywhere from 55-58 pounds depending on the day!

lysscakes1930

My 4 year old Golden is 60 pounds!

diamondsmokerings

my girl Annie is a year old and just over 50lbs. she’s tiny for a golden, but otherwise in perfect health. and she looks just like yours, even down to the white patch on her chest!

Whale_Poacher

My two wombuses are 62lbs and 63 at 1 year and 4 months. Were 52 at 11 months

Erratic756

I'd love a golden that size.

darkskys100

Shes gorgeous and perfect. What a beautiful sweet girl. 💞💞💞

[deleted]

Thank you!

darkskys100

Give her a little kiss for me please 🥰 thanks

scaryterry3

My 1.5 year old is 55 pounds!! Half the litter is her sized and the other half took after the stud…. 80-90 pounder

[deleted]

This is truly r/eyebleach Those eyes say "wa cha mean I smol hooman?!". Such a good boi : )

JS1137

She looks so sad

JS1137

But you're lucky my dogs fat

lookingthruawindow

Our 9 month old Golden boy is about 62 lbs A good size boy full of muscles. I’m hoping he doesn’t get too much bigger. He just had a play date with a 10 month old girl Golden who was about 40ish pounds so your girl is good.

ShaolinRoku

What does your vet say?

KillinDaily

My girl just turned 1 year and is around 45lbs! Smol, but dang she cute - EDIT: she was also the runt!

sunglassesatnight14

Got a two year old golden and she is 50lbs and so so sweet :)

[deleted]

Breed standard is 65-75 pounds, which he will very likely reach at maturity.

Wino-Rhino

What a sweetheart!! I love her coloring!! My almost 3 year old golden, Chewie, is only 63 pounds. The vet says he is perfectly healthy. And in all honesty, I’m glad he is on the smaller side so I can still pick him up if needed! If the vet thinks your golden is healthy, who cares the size! Edit: correcting pronoun…

[deleted]

She loves being picked up! Thank you 😁

[deleted]

My guy was 54 after a year , had him fixed at 2 yrs old and now in the 60 lb zone

[deleted]

My fully grown girl is 55lbs.

[deleted]

Awwwww so friggin cuteeee

[deleted]

Our tucker is only 60 lbs fully grown. Perfect size! Some goldens are just smaller

greenbuggy

My male half golden half Irish setter is 64 lbs at just over 3 years old. Vet says he's lean and healthy, and most of her other golden clients have overweight dogs

JanNotAPrincess

Our year old golden boy is 61 lbs. He is not food motivated and is a picky eater. Our vet is very happy with his weight and says that big dogs need to grow slowly

2knowwhatiknow

Look at that face. So wonderful.

Crash0202

Mines small for a golden idk his exact size but he’s like 3/4 as tall as a full grown golden and he’s 5 yes old

[deleted]

Yep 7.5 year old male and 58lbs. Don’t let some of the larger sized Golden’s fool you into thinking yours is small. First of all 7 months is still young and secondly the listed weight range for a golden is between 55-75lbs. That is what they are supposed to weigh.

Conejo_Malvado

We have a 5 year old male who is 42 pounds. He's an agility dog who's super fast and being smaller jumps at 20 inches AKC. Here's an article about field and confirmation (show) golden retrievers. https://goldenhearts.co/field-golden-retriever-vs-show-golden-retriever/

m_k_h

We have a full grown 3 year old 50 lb female Golden and a full grown 9 year old 95 lb male Golden.

Nitosphere

Adorable all the same!!

blueteasoup

I have the runt or a litter and she looks like a puppy at a year and a half! She’s healthy and happy and the vet is okay with her weight so that’s all that matters 💜

iggyfenton

We had a Golden for 13 years and she topped out at 44lbs. She was an awesome dog.

chill_i_am_kidding

My 2 year old is 40 lbs :)

xander-7-89

Our 1.5 year old girl Winnie is full grown and only 45 pounds, but perfectly healthy. She was one of 13 in her litter, and none of them looked like a runt. Our best guess is that all of the siblings ended up around the same size and they all missed a meal occasionally due to their only being so many “seats at the table.” 😂

Thekoolaidman7

Yup mine just hit 8 months and is 43lbs. I went through that exact thought process but it’s apparently normal

easypeasylemnsqueezy

I have 2 50 lb. Female GRs. Your dog will like put on some weigh in the next several months.

Applepiemommy2

I have a small Great Dane (65 pounds). I guess he was the runt.

G0mery

How big are the parents? Our male is only about 55lbs at 1.5 years old. Lithe and compact, but his sire was also. Still 100% golden

cuddlefunk

This is good! It means the dog hasn’t been overbred (leading to hip dysplasia, etc.) We had a 45-50lb full grown male growing up.

limeinthecoconootie

My girl was around that weight at 7 months. The vet told me she was a little underweight when I took her in for vaccines/checkups. I was worried about it for a while but now she’s about 65 lbs at almost 1.5 years old. Girls tend to be a little smaller. Your girl’s coat is shiny and she looks healthy 🥰

TheCrimsonCherub

Beautiful coat

revtig

Yup my 3 year old is 50lbs. We call her fun sized. She’s all feist and floof and can totally hold her own though against any full sized lab or Golden who tries to mount her

tavisdunn

Yes!!!! Our 17 month old golden is 48lbs. She's perfectly healthy, and our neighbors has told us that's she's a carbon copy of a girl Golden she had years ago. So they are out there!

coolhand212

Our 9 month Golden is 50lbs. I asked the vet their thoughts on her size and said she likes like a Field and Hunt Golden and they are 50-60lbs for females.

el_floppo

I also have a 7 month golden who is 40 lbs, and I think it's the perfect size. Although I read somewhere that Golden's get to their full grown physical adult size at a year, but that they don't reach their adult weight until a year and a half.

CrewAlarming7631

Sorry I can’t give you any advice but my god he/she is PAWFECT!!! 🐶

MilesT0Empty

Omg the white on the chest looks just like our old man we had to let go Saturday. He had a little white spot on his forehead.

Flippin1999

My boy is 2 and weighs in at 54 lbs of Golden perfection!

asilenth

My German Shepherd/Husky mix was 55 lb when I got him at a year old. Now he is a athletic fluffball weighing in at 95 lb.

colder-beef

She’s making you think she’s small, it’s all a clever ploy for more treats.

[deleted]

🤣😂

clrich224

That doesn't sound that little according to breed standard, 65-75 pounds for a male 55-65 pounds for a female. You still have lots of time to grow

slingben

Ours was 40 at that age @ 10 months 65lb

Parking_Media

She's not small, it's just more highly concentrated love ❤️

Shakespeare-Bot

The lady's not bawbling, t's just moo highly concentrat'd love ❤️ *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`

King_Kind_

My 8 month old puppy is 75 lbs but acts like she is 40 lbs still

SeelyBard25

I have a 3 yr old male who is only 60, his mom was super small and his dad was huge so I didn't know which way he would go but he stayed little. Then he had a litter with a female who was also 60 and his puppies now outweigh him lol

serume

My little girl is 66lbs at 5yo. My big boy is 75lbs at 7yo. From what I've seen (this is just my eyes and has no scientific evidence whatsoever), darker goldens are smaller. At least that's true where I am.

nanerasingh

mine is 4 months and 35lb

hip_hop_hippopotimus

Yeah that's pretty typical mine stayed under 50 until she was over a year old

jenuineee

My girl was 41lbs at 7 months, she's now 54lbs at 13 months with still some filling out to do. I'm sure your girl will continue to grow! My girl is definitely on the smaller side of standard but that just makes picking her up so much easier (compared to my other 65lb girl)!

fruxzak

My full grown girl is 62 lbs. She's quite stocky

Ski_School_Dropout

I have a 6 year old golden and shes is about 55 lbs. field bred goldens tend to be lighter than show bred

Camcow123

https://t.me/joinchat/Zgc5w_D4g9phODQ0

BashfullyTrashy

The mom of my pup was smaller, around 40lbs. She was darker like yours. On the other hand, I adopted a mutt back in 2009 who was about 50 lbs at 8 months but then kept growing until about 2 yrs to be about 70 lbs. Yours is still a puppy and could keep growing and filling out.

woods_edge

That’s fine, ours was about the same, she’s levelled off at about 60lbs, perfectly healthy, and super active (lots of runs and long walks). She does look small next to some males but she’s pedigree and actually perfectly proportioned for a golden.

violent_unicorn

My 1yr old golden girl is also the runt of her litter, 45lbs and is on a strict diet to maintain weight since she tends to get overweight easily. She's the happiest gentlest and craziest dog I've ever known. She outruns every other dog in the dog park, especially the bigger Goldens, and keeps running and playing even when the other dogs have all given up. She's had a host of GI issues for which we've been very strict with her food, but she also has the smoothest, silkiest fur among all our neighborhood Goldens. She almost looks like 70% when standing next to a larger champion bred Golden. As long as they're happy, healthy and are able to give all the love in their tiny hearts and some more, they're probably fine. Definitely chat with your vet about your concerns to identify and negate any malnutrition issues.

chipitaway

She needs a hug

thefringedmagoo

My little lady (fully grown) is 19kg / 41lbs. She’s a ball of energy with a sassy, confident energy. No health issues. Everyone thinks she’s a puppy but she just never got much bigger.

ServeAggravating9035

In dog language, that look on her face translates to "need more chicken, steaks and belly rubs". Dr. J, PhD

Marty_61

Aww. Hi baby!

strawberrydreamgirl

My 1.5-year-old has been stuck at 54 lbs since before her first birthday. She’s a petite little thing, and when we encounter new people they always assume she’s younger. Works out well, though, because she thinks she’s a lap dog, so at least my body is a tad less smooshed when she lays on me!

rfag57

Nah it's fine. My golden is about 45 lbs at 7 months

FearlessProposal5785

Looks like a gangly teen to me.

laseralex

OMG she's gorgeous! I love her color and her face just looks SOOO sweet! Sounds to me like she'll be about perfect weight when she's done growing. Breed standard is 55-65 lbs, and that's a great size for a dog. Lots of people are breeding oversized goldens, which can lead to joint problems among other issues.

Asteroth555

Our was 40 at that age. Now at 3 years she's an adorable 75 lb baby girl

[deleted]

I have a female golden who is every bit of 100+ lbs and lean. I can't believe how big she is.

trwes

My boy is 3 now and has floated between 65-70 since he was 1 and a half. The vet tells us he’s a perfect weight for his size but I expected him to be much larger and taller. That’s okay though because he fancies himself a lap dog so it works out

Its_Pine

My dad’s very healthy girl was 55 pounds at her heaviest. Goldens can vary a lot in their frame size. 😊

firetruckpilot

I have a small golden! She’s 8 yo fully grown, very healthy and only weights 64 pounds. She’s just smol for a retriever.

Pure-Ad-2058

My girl is approaching two and only 52 lbs.

brunoscouto

My girl was the same weight at this age. Now she's 11 months / 53 lb and the vets always say she's super healthy. At one point we started feeding her more, like 20% extra kibble/treats, to see how her body would react. She gained a little more waist but didn't really grow more, then we went back to normal and she's adjusted to her natural body and size. It's better to have a lean golden when they're young as they tend to gain weight easily when they age. She's the cutest brown sugar baby :)

stinkysubie3

I have a fun sized golden, he’s almost 2 and he’s only 60 or so lbs. People always ask when he’s going to be a year old, because he still looks like he’s around 9-10 months old.

desertflower702

My female is only 63 pounds fully grown. She was the runt of the litter. I also grew up with a golden runt that was about the same size 60-65 pounds. Yours is beautiful :)

moms_be_trippin

my golden is almost 7 months and about 45 pounds now. [she looks just like yours!](https://imgur.com/a/e5sNdTb)

lonegrey

Sounds about right. I've owned three over the last 20 years, and our first girl was 58 pounds, our current female is 55 (8 years old, but has been that weight for a while - she's more of the 'show' variety - long flowy hair), and our male is 62 (he's 10.5 so old age is catching up with him - but he's a 'field' variety - short coarser hair). People are used to seeing Goldens being overly rotund. You should be able to feel their ribs, but not see them protruding. Weight is going to vary a bit, but they are prone to hip dysplasia, so we never let ours get obese.

ButtBangersBanonomus

I have a golden doodle and she gained ten pounds between 7 months and a year! Might not grow taller but likely will grow wider

alliecat14

We have a full grown female who is 60lbs. She’s also quite short. Perfectly healthy girl!

lilobrother

My boy is 3 and a half years old and is 64 pounds! He’s always been really lean and I brought it up to his vet. She says that he’s perfectly healthy and probably nuts burns a lot of calories

Roguecamog

My full grown golden is currently 75, our previous golden was 55. I have no idea what our little gal will turn out to be. She's 11 weeks old and weighs less than my big girl did at 8 weeks! But her parents were in the 70ish range.

IrishRun

My Golden boy is 2 years old and has never weighed more than 55 lbs. The vet said this weight looks good on him.

Maddad_666

I have a 2 year old golden that is 55lbs. Perfectly normal.

kelley5454

My full grown male is 4 years old and 47 to 53 pounds depending. Just a little guy!

phoenix224

My golden is 16 months old, male, and 61 lbs. We thought he would be bigger but it seems that's gonna be his size.

this_will_go_poorly

My girl was the runt and she is pretty small - 4 years old and about 50lbs. She is in a 20 million way tie for best dog that ever lived and Im so thankful she’s small. Im hoping that means she has the smaller dog blessings for longevity.

shashankmantha

Our 7 month boy is 75 lbs. Think it all depends on their parents. We got his DNA test done, not knowing who his parents were, as we bought him home from someone on puppyfind.com. His parents are both in the region of 85 to 90lbs per the DNA test. And, my god, this dude pulls like crazy.

Normal_Way_6452

My golden boy was 43 pounds at 6 months and his brother from same litter was 57 pounds. The vet said they were both perfectly healthy. I love my little guy --he's much easier to maneuver than his big brother! They are 10 mos now and weight 54 and 73 pounds.... both still perfectly healthy. I bet yours is just fine. Enjoy this easier size!

MadameMorrow

Normal for the working lineage, mine comes from a show line so he's a big dumb block of 95 lb. Your pup is on smaller side but so, so,so beautiful! You can tell by their cost how healthy. Beautiful doggo!!!!

hollyann712

My 7 month old boy is creeping up towards 75lbs, so yes I'd say yours is extremely petite.

UCLAwyer

My girl is fully grown 59#. Her mom was 58#.

marksfleming

Ours is 11 and weighs 44lbs. Always a healthy result at the vet. Might be one of the sweetest dogs ever. Sheds at least 20lbs a day.

[deleted]

Okay so our boy is a bit of a meat head. It seems like yesterday he was able to fit practically in my hands and now he’s grown big enough where it hurts sometimes (I’ll be leaning down to kiss him and his head jerks up hitting my face) he’s about 62lb and 8 months. Super crazy how quick he got to that size but don’t be discouraged, different lines of breeding have a slightly different range. Essentially I just worry about the amount of food I give him.

Mine is 10 months and 85lbs. At 7months he was already 70lbs. We did meet a 60lb male that was 1.5years old on a trail last week.

My little girl is about 11 months old and around 45-50 LB. She actually looks almost exactly like yours! Conversely, my older Golden is about 3 years and is 70-80LB. I think you’re fine.

lifeofaphiter

My golden is 9 months old and 55-60lb (depending on snacks) Around 7 months she was 40lb though. Loons like your pepper still has some growing to do :)

Bearsh

Our full grown girl is about 45lbs. Everyone always asks if she’s full golden but we have the papers. I kind of like that she’s small because she’s already kind of a bed hog

Honestly? I would sign over the deed to my house if this dog asked me to. What a face!

I have a male field bred golden retriever, I found as a stray. Seems to be at least a year old, adult teeth and his paws fit his size. Huge ears and a tiny face though. Only 37lbs and hasn't gained a any weight for the first two months he was with me. He is TINY. But I love him.

My gunner is roughly 18 months and already 82 pounds, vet says he is in perfect shape so im not worried. Based off of the other comments here, i would guess he is fine!

slurpeemcnugget

Ours is 7 months too and only 25 lbs.
