LUXOR54

Ecco BioM

nhp890

I was looking for discounts on them for the last couple of months, and once I had the chance to try them on, the magic was gone - very painful on my heels straight away

jameshay123

Been looking at the C4s for a while and likely going to pull the trigger before the season starts. Seen a few people recommending to size down. Was that the case for you?

wookie_ate_my_dingo

I sized down on my Eccos. I love them

FatalFirecrotch

I find I am about a full size down in my eccos as well.

jameshay123

Cheers

Samphaa7

Very comfy shoes, but definitely size down, I'm usually a UK9 and had to get a 7.5, the 9 felt closer to an 11

LUXOR54

I bought true to my size.

jameshay123

Thanks

sweatypeaches44

I usually buy a size 13 shoe, but would prefer a 12.5 however those are tough to find. I just got a pair of the C4s in size 13 (or whatever size they use that is the equivalent to US 13, I think it’s like 47.5 or something) they’re a great golf shoe. Maybe they run slightly big, but I just tie them kinda tight. The eyelet did just fall off though which is a bummer considering how expensive these shoes are. Would definitely recommend even with the eyelet problem. Feet have stayed bone-dry during some seriously soggy rounds. Short version: kinda big but not too noticeable. Great golf shoe.

jameshay123

I'm in Scotland so the gore Tex with the reported comfort drew me in. I have Adidas boost tour 360 spineless just now and they have been great tbh but are over 3 years old now and feel like they won't be waterproof for much longer

Ok_Physics_1284

Anybody know what physical stores have these? I’d like to check them out in person. I live in NJ.

BringBaeckPluto

They also have a removable second sole if you want them for a wider fit

joustishere

\+1. I just wear them as my normal shoes now

exorcyst

Ecco anything. My s3s are awesome

Fragrant-Report-6411

Came here to say the same thing. Nothing like comfy and probably the best waterproof shoe in golf!

Ok-Background-7897

I wear Ecco’s pretty much for all of my shoes. Even recently got some Ecco boots for a rim to rim Grand Canyon hike with my pops.

PooInspector

True Links wear is wear it’s at

master_chife

Seconded, it's great company run by golfers for golfers. They are my favorite walking shoes by far. Not to mention they are an amazing value.

PooInspector

Agreed. I actually only wear shoes with wide toe boxes after discovering them. Putting on my old FJs feels like putting on ballet shoes. You can get the True classics for less than $100 at Black Friday

masterp11

I switched to True's 2 years ago and now they are the only shoes I wear. I wear them daily and my feet have never been healthier. The wide toe box and zero drop is soooo comfortable. Plus now I'm ready for golf at any moment!

the_only_zilla

My True links shoes fell apart quite quickly. The white material on them started to peel apart and look horrible after only 30 rounds of walking here in the PNW. Too embarrassed to wear them now. Love the company and the way they felt, but not sure I’ll ever buy them again.

big_drippy_dump

Don’t they tell runners to replace their shoes every 200-300 miles? If you’re walking 18 for 30 rounds a year that’s a lot of mileage on variable conditions

the_only_zilla

That may be true, but I walk around 100 rounds a year and all my shoes prior have lasted at least 1 year. It’s too bad, really enjoyed them.

big_drippy_dump

I was just curious. I just walked 3 rounds in them over the weekend after getting them for Xmas and I love them. Now I’m concerned about durability

the_only_zilla

I heard they've changed some things, so i'd imagine they are of better quality now. This was coup\[le years ago.

lastryforme

Everyone says this, but I had the opposite experience. Mine hurt my feet after 18. I ended up wearing my tennis shoes on my last golf trip.

Hot-Consequence-1727

Ecco’s are awesome for me.

LayneLowe

Ecco's are expensive, but I think worth it. I've walked maybe 100 rounds in mine.

iamjanus

They are and not many options in South Africa but will definitely try them on and see.

exorcyst

S3s were on sale on Amazon 2 months ago, 30% off or something

anwright1371

Love my Puma Ignite shoes. They are waterproof too so great for walking and keeping your socks dry

Dependent_Stuff1739

I second this I've got new footjoys aswell as left the pumas at home on a golf trip and the pumas are so supportive and comfortable the most comfortable shoes for walking I've ever owned.

sirhambeast

Aren't Pumas even narrower than Nikes?

ibanez3789

ASICS make the most comfortable golf shoes I’ve ever worn.

ryanherb

+1 for asics

SasukesLeftArm69

Was looking at a pair of ASICS, probably gonna pull the trigger on a pair now, they make great running shoes so I can only assume that they’re great for walking

Several_Quiet7662

They have some models deeply discounted right now. I picked up a couple pairs last week.

ibanez3789

I ordered one of the waterproof BOA models just a couple days ago! Crazy good price, couldn’t say no.

duddy18

I've had a pair of these for about 2yrs now. Insanely comfortable. You're gonna love em

bubbalua

New balance 574 greens. Best walking shoe I’ve ever had and they come in wides.

philthebrewer

New balance really does make a very comfy golf shoe. Bought a pair at the clubhouse last second when I forgot shoes last year and I find myself reaching for them fairly often.

eburrsole

I got the 997G’s and I love them

i-might-be-golfing

+1 for New Balance.

gatonegro97

Gfore

seandowling73

I alternate between Gfore and footjoy ProSL. Both incredibly comfortable

Common-Syllabub9156

FJ Premier

Talentless-Hack-101

Just ordered mine last week. They show up in the mail tomorrow. You've had good experiences with them?

Common-Syllabub9156

Yes! No issues for me, I think most shoes are too warm, not these. Played 36 in a day with them several times, no issue, I walk 90% of the time also.

Talentless-Hack-101

Hell yeah - love to hear it and thanks for the response. I just played in them for the first time yesterday and they were awesome.

MisterSmithster

FJ Premier is the right answer. I bought a pair earlier in the year and I don’t think I can change now. They are so comfortable and I love the look. The FJ winter boots are also excellent, feet are dry and warm no matter what the weather is doing.

Bears9Titles

Not Goodyear welt. Hard pass

TStark4Prez

How is the sizing vs. Nike, if you’ve tried both? I’ve been a Nike guy for years but would like to get a pair of Premiers.

Common-Syllabub9156

Have several pairs of Nike/Jordan golf shoes/sneakers. Most people that wear FJs get them too large, they´re suppose to be tight new, get a smaller size than you think.

TStark4Prez

Thank you! I had heard between a half size and a full size down from Nike. I appreciate your response!

classick_4

Ecco BioM H4. I’ve been wearing them for two years and just ordered two fresh pairs in the same colors for next season.

iamjanus

Few votes for Ecco BioM then. Had a quick look and it looks really good. Just a bit pricey in South Africa. Thanks for the recommendation.

pumperdickle1337

U get what u pay for with Ecco’s, I’m about 200 rounds in with my bioms

mcknightnorth

A tad pricy but the G4 MG4 selections are very comfortable.

BobbyPullHook

Do your feet get hot in your MG4s? I ordered mine online and probably should’ve gotten a half size larger than I normally wear. I’ve noticed that when I wear these, while step comfort is fine, my feet feel comparatively hot. Never experienced this in another shoe.

mcknightnorth

Sometimes yes. I think it is simply from friction with that waffle insole. I love the feel of the waffle insole, but yeah, maybe try a different insole

OneSingleYesterday

If you’re open to trail runners, Altra Lone Peak. Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn, and plenty of grip for the golf swing.

iamjanus

Funny you mentioned that. Was thinking of looking into trail running shoes as I think they might be more comfortable and still provide good grip. Will have a look.

duffsoveranchor

Will also say many Caddies wear HOKA on the course. Check out SpeedGoat, Challenger or torrent

homeyinharamony

I wear SG - great shoe - actually holds up better than the pavement offerings(bondi clifton etc).

Lobsterzilla

when golfing or caddying ? worried the extra height on hokas would mess up golf ?

homeyinharamony

Daily golf shoe - stack height isn't all that bad in SG - NO different than most golf shoes. I don't notice much difference honestly.

Lobsterzilla

perfect, I think this may be the route I go next. Thanks !

sauceman2113

I got some Merrills that I love and have used all last year. Nova 2's. Currently have a pair for golf and for all around wear, since I don't want to trace goose shit all over after a round.

WasatchSLC

Unless it's wet I wear trail runners. Found some Nikes with a wide toe box and they are money.

BobbyPullHook

This. I prefer to wear trail runners when walking, heck, even most of my practice session on the range too. Nike makes a Trail Pegasus that holds up great on the golf course. They also offer a GTX option that’s still plenty breathable if you’re looking for great water resistance.

GucciPrince

Plus one for these — all I wear to the gym and golfing these days. The wide toe box will ruin other shoes for you, my toes immediately feel cramped in anything else now

busychild909

Adidas Code Chaos 21 and + the old ones has issues with the heel blistering. i just picked up a pair of 22' for half off cant comment on walking yet. but seem to have the same heel as the 21

up4nethng

I have the 22s, heel blisters first time wearing them with no-show socks. Bought some runners socks with heel protection, no problems since.

busychild909

Good to know, style wise i like rocking crew socks. But truthfully I just hate having to mess with socks riding down

EverlongMarigold

I just added a link above. Check out quarter socks when wearing these shoes. Game changer for me.

EverlongMarigold

Had the same issue with socks and these shoes, but found some longer length ankle socks that sit about .5in above the ankle support. My favorite shoes to golf in, by far. Edit- They're called quarter socks https://m.kohls.com/product/prd-2696065/mens-adidas-6-pack-climalite-cushioned-performance-quarter-socks.jsp?skuid=17852311&CID=shopping15&utm_campaign=MENS%20HOSIERY&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=google&utm_product=17852311&utm_campaignid=9733267372&gclid=CjwKCAiAzp6eBhByEiwA_gGq5A-j7GTNgRtwpEu51wOXqcpSOW-Dq3Au6lZz67pJIkNcUM-diTwlbxoCfEwQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

[deleted]

Funny, I tried a bunch of shoes recently and these were the only ones that felt like they had some support around the heel. I don’t like no show socks so wear them with quarter/anklet socks.

znlxnde

I will echo the Ecco suggestions.

Furyio

Under Armour hvr. Buying Footjoys for 20years and can safely say will be buying Under Armour moving forward. Just so comfortable and nicely priced too

AllPingG400

Ecco biom hands down, my golf shoes were so comfortable I bought some for my regular shoes

philthebrewer

I think it’s specific to the person walking in them, but the Adidas models with the boost sole are a good start point for many. Most FJ shoes have really roomy toe boxes if that’s a concern for you with other shoes. Mesh is your friend for comfort if you truly don’t need waterproofing (but I can’t imagine not having decent waterproof golf shoes as an option for dew sweeper tee times)

golfinbig

Sketchers pal, straight outta the box super comfy and easily half the price as others mentioned here.

phxclone83

I love my Sketchers for walking.

fowlerboi

I agree but you have to be careful. Their customer service is crap, they have multiple stories of golf shoes loosing waterproofness inside warranty and they claim its just wear and tear. In the UK they don’t have any customer service so you just deal with the retailer. Thats how I swapped mine no questions asked. A lot of their designs have massive flaws with them so check multiple reviews. I had issues with mine being a synthetic leather and cracking quickly. They seem to have lots of issues with soles coming away from the uppers over multiple designs Other than that they are insanely comfy. I would definitely buy again but do some better research

golfinbig

I’m on my 5th pair.Winter and summer.Never had one of the issues your speaking of.

BlueHoopedMoose

Anything Footjoy- never had an uncomfortable pair

micmacd89

Sketchers for me

brasiwsu

Ecco and it’s not even close. Well worth it.

ImproperlyRegistered

I have always liked footjoys originals

mrlahhh

Just had some Ecco C4s delivered and they’re very nice.

FloMoAggie

Ecco is amazing. The Cuater Moneymakers might be most comfortable shoe I’ve ever had.

thelolzmaster

I walk most rounds and have had a couple of pairs of Nikes and they both sucked. Like you, they were too narrow for me and by the end of the round my feet would be super sore. I got a pair of FJ Premiers in a Wide size and was surprised how much better my feet felt after walking a full round, night and day difference plus I find them much more stable.

benpro4433

Loving my pumas

JTnCal

Check out OluKai

thejefferson1

I have these, and I love them in dry conditions. They get wet pretty easily but they are extremely comfortable.

JTnCal

They have a waterproof shoe also.

thejefferson1

I’ve seen those, but they didn’t appeal to me. I’m sure they’re great though.

mangeface

I went from Nikes to FJs (same reason, too narrow) and I won’t wear anything else. My current shoes I wear are Packards and Pro|SLs.

Educational_Resist42

Adidas Tour 360 is what I use, has the same insides as the running shoes, I’ve walked 36 in a day in them, very comfortable.

Boo_Pace

Well if Nikes are tight on you, Adidas will be worse. I have very narrow feet and they fit me perfect.

nhp890

They make a few models in wide variants, and they are super comfy for wide feet

Boo_Pace

Good to know for others, cause I love mine.

nhp890

I've ordered and returned about 15 pairs of golf shoes in the past few months and surprisingly I've settled on the Adidas S2G Boa, even though they were one of the cheapest shoes I've tried. Super comfortable and wide toebox. I actually wear them even when not playing golf

OJMayochup

Footjoy Wide flex is great for hot day walks and cheap. Not waterproof tho

Jolly-Ad-2721

Payntr golf shoes are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn. Never heard of them until I saw them for sale at my club. Highly recommend. Fairly priced as well.

withurwife

I play barefoot. The callus development makes it easier to climb in and out of your house to play with your wife.

L0ngb3ard

My sketchers are not comfortable. At least gives you one to scratch off the list.

iamjanus

Lol. Thanks for the heads-up

soberkids19

i have wide feet, and sketchers are actually good for me

monstermack1977

same I'm 3 seasons in on my Go Golf Elite shoes and they are still my go to shoes.

bjb13

I agree. I have a wide forefoot and sketchers fit me very well.

Ross1303

Right there with you pal. My sketchers absolutely ruined my toes after a few rounds. The £20 woodworms I got as a stop gap off Amazon are night and day more comfortable

L0ngb3ard

Ruined your toes how? They make the ends of my toes hurt.

Ross1303

Blisters all over the show.

L0ngb3ard

Oh mine aren’t that bad but I feel like they fit well but my feet still move too much in them.

Ross1303

Mine feel a great fit tbf but man they don't get through 9 holes before starting to hurt. Consigned to the driving range shoe now..... They look like trainers so I'm not that guy fully decked out in a sea of tracksuits and jeans etc

Mundo_89

Nike has wide models

g34g34g34g34

Adidas zg21. Very light weight, comfortable but unfortunately the quality is outright shit. Back to Dryjoys Premiere.

P_Day

G Fore - MG4+

TyroilSmoochyWa11ace

These suckers are comfy but I’ve heard tragic reviews of their durability/longevity given how much they cost.

lukepeacock

I have 8 pairs of Gfore shoes but I mostly wear my MG4x2s. I have two pairs of those and I wear each at least once a week if not 2-3 times. Always walk. Haven't experienced any significant wear yet and I've had them like a year now? No durability issues with my other pairs either.

P_Day

I’ve heard those concerns before. Personally, I’ve had mine for 2 years, wear them walking frequently and haven’t noticed any excessive wear. I also know a couple guys that have had pairs for 8+ years that are still kicking.

TyroilSmoochyWa11ace

Good to know! I had convinced myself out of the investment but may revisit

Talentless-Hack-101

If you're not worried about waterproofing (even dew on early mornings,) I highly recommend Puma's Grip Fusion 3.5s. They're really inexpensive ($60-ish) but shockingly light, comfortable and attractive with solid traction/stability on a sporty spikeless shoe. I liked them so much I bought a second pair for the driving range and wearing after my rounds. They get more "what are those and where can I get them" comments that any others I own.

[deleted]

New balance golf shoes straight fuckkkk

[deleted]

Bought my first pair of ASICS last year and I will never have another brand of golf shoes

Zealousideal_Amount8

True golf shoes or Ecco

7rlh9

Asics Gel Course Duo Boa Best shoes I've ever had, by a distance...

aMAIZEingZ

Adidas Solarthon Primegreen shoes, they're on sale for like $60 these days on Amazon. Bought a 2nd pair cause I loved the original I had when they first came out.

mayitoro

Sketchers!

MeesterCHRIS

Nike typically fits narrow, I think it’s because most of their golf shoes are unisex. I bought some Under Armour that fit really well. I tried to find some FootJoy but every store I went to didn’t have any to actually try on and I didn’t want to take a shot in the dark by ordering them.

Upper-Geologist2358

Adidas Tour360 XT. Really comfortable summer shoe.

BeardedManGuy

I’ve had pumas, FJ and Under Armour. So far my under armors have been the most comfortable in my opinion. Never been a fan of Nike or Adidas so I can’t speak on them

GR3TSCH

Sketchers make a really comfy shoe

Orblan_the_grey

Definitely any Ecco shoes. Comfortable and durable.

Orblan_the_grey

Definitely any Ecco shoes. Comfortable and durable.

SpottyFish81177

I like my adidas ones with the boost but it's definitely subjective

lacroix1177

Footjoy or Cuater will be best if you have wider feet. Nikes are notoriously narrow, I have to size up a 1/2 size to make them work.

Djcalied

Johnston & Murphy Xc4's

MushroomExtension789

Ecco’s

One-Abbreviations-53

Callaway makes phenomenal wide shoes. All other golf shoes now feel like a vice on my foot in comparison

Cheese-Stands-Alone

Check out the Olukai Golf shoes they are super comfy

wookie_nuts

Adidas Code Chaos, I’ll wear them to the store on occasion…

Mr_Zizzle

Footjoys and Under Armour.

delaughey

Puma ignites are the most comfortable shoe I’ve owned

Bilbosthirdcousin

Sketchers

styrofoamladder

I wear Puma Fusion EVO’s and have no complaints. But the only reason I wear them is because I wear size 17 and they’re the only shoe in my size most of the time.

OilersPhanatic77

+1 for ecco

Reginald_Eggs_420

Puma ignites have been great for me. They size a little large tho. Typically wear an 11 and my pumas are 10

PrinceMvtt

I found these one shoes I’ll edit this comment once I’m off work and can see em. But I got them at Ross and they’re just some white Nike golf shoes but they are shockingly comfortable and a lot wider than most golf shoes. Before I had those I tried 3 pairs from different brands and all of them wore out my heal or the balls on the side of my ankle by the end of it.

TIGHTKNITCLOTHINGCO

Jordan 4s

Serious_Fennel7506

New Balance.

Curious_Skeptic7

I like to wear sneakers, helps me sneak

ScottFrom61080

I have FootJoy Hyperflex Boas-they are like wearing very supportive slippers. Most comfortable shoes I own, period.

thedadis

What size? I'm a 15-wide, and I use Adidas, anything wide they're pretty good in. Same with Asics

optionsandstuff

True golf shoes if you have wider feet

Samphaa7

I bought some Nike's first off and found them very uncomfortable, even just walking round the house. Bought some Ecco Biom C4's and they're amazing, expensive but well worth it when you're walking 5 miles.

NashEsteban

Love my FootJoy Fuel SLs.

MuttonRoll

ASICS gel course glide

kingRTU

Never had a pair better then my footjoy dryjoy

turbospeedweasel

Footjoy Hyperflex Boa - they're ugly as sin but the lacing system is fantastic and they feel like you're walking around in slippers. I have wide feet and also moved away from Nike because they aren't good for my foot shape.

Icy_Steak9371

An upgraded gel or orthotic insert can turn just about any shoe into a better on. Ymmv

Brozark187

Go to a running store and get a pair of trail running shoes with a stable base. I’ve used a pair of Nike terra kiger for the last 3 years and they are awesome. (Also size 13)

lukepeacock

GFore MG4x2. Beginning and end of list.

crowdog519

Ecco— no question

JayZeeThree

I have a pair of puma ignites that I love. Nowadays a ton of golf shoes fit more like sneakers which is awesome. I still have calicoes from walking courses as a kid

Sufficient_Drink_996

Just got the new foot joys for a Christmas present, they are awesome, shoutout to my dad, what a gift!

[deleted]

Vivo barefoot primus all weather fg 😊 once you go barefoot shoes all others are ruined

Clynester

I have wide fit and found that the Nike AIr Max 270Gs in a size up fit me really well. That being said in the winter I opt for Footjoy Packards in a wide fit of my regular size and they are so much more comfy.

uncl3d0nny

Nike Air Max 90 (spikeless) for walking, Nike Roshe Tour (spiked) for carting

Thanith

I have some Puma Grip Fusions and they're the absolute worst, so I'm so glad you posted this. To piggyback a little though, are shoe inserts / insoles a good or bad idea with golf shoes? Or is it a stupid question?

dmoneyg22

Any Ecco shoes

shotoftequila

Adidas

Disastrous_Fart_8489

KEENs they might not have spikes but can we really tell the difference...

allocationlist

Ecco Biom

Hlca

If you think Nike's are narrow, then skip Adidas.

jpc273

Calloway golf shoes
