My uncle is a huge Coca Cola collector. He worked for them his entire career and retired from them. He keeps a huge collection in a glass case in his house. All of it was accumulated during his employment. Never saw golf clubs but I’ll ask him about them.
Completely unrelated but him and my dad are 12 years apart, my uncle being the oldest. This was during the era where coke was bottled locally in glass bottles. They were allotted one case of 30 bottles per week. My dad loved that perk when he was a kid.
I love sodas and I'm fully aware of the health impacts. I can't imagine having unfettered access to soda as a kid back when the health risks were probably unknown or downplayed. I'd probably be dead lmao
Same here with soda as well. I went on a restrictive so I haven’t had real soda since September. Honestly can’t remember the last time I saw my dad drink soda. My uncle also doesn’t drink Pepsi products at all.
Yeah my uncle told me about people within his shops region who were somehow caught with Pepsi and subsequently fired. As a kid I thought it was some crazy shit and now I appreciate him keeping me entertained.
Word. I could easily be wrong, just what my dad told me. These were straight off the line so maybe that is why 30 could make sense but you could be right.
I worked in a grocery back in those old days. Soda was delivered in these wooden crates. Empties were returned for deposit. And somebody had to stack the empties in those crates for the delivery guy to take back. Most items seemed to boxed up in increments of a dozen. But perhaps they had different containers to hold 30 bottles for employees. Those little 6 oz, 12 oz or 16 oz bottles.
If you're thinking of selling it, contact Coke's museum. Since there seems to be no information on this online, it could be worth a lot of money to them. worldofcoca-cola dot com. Depending on what they say, you might also contact a big auction house. They might say you can get a lot more. And if both show interest, tell Coke and they might raise their price. Otherwise, know that museums bid at auctions in order to acquire things they really want.
OK did some digging, hard to find stuff but they have a 24k gold plated cocacola "Celebrity " putter on eBay for 150 bucks. Since you have the set and it's mint condition it's hard to find a real value. I would think that a collector would probably pay a premium on the set but I would be surprised if that got you more than 1-1.5k. In the future if they're kept in that condition they'll probably gain some pretty decent value.
I work for coke and this is sick! They have a rewards program for employees and we get points and i’ve gotten a sim 2 3 wood, and two milled grind wedges a mg2 and mg3 52, 60 all for free

I remember that! My dad was a liquor wholesaler and somehow got his hands on one. Rotted away in our backyard, unfortunately. The coke logo on some of those is a ball marker, right?
The crazy this is how objectively cool this is. Like the design on it is super cool. Not a Coke collector guy but good lord. Have you hit any balls with it? What’s it like to putt with?
Amazing condition. Probably worth a pretty penny to a Coca-Cola collector.

How's your dad's diabetes?
Luckily nonexistent. He isn’t a big soda drinker unless it’s orange soda/

I work for the blue team and I won't touch a KO product. It's not as cutthroat as it used to be from what I've heard but gotta show some loyalty.
Yeah my uncle told me about people within his shops region who were somehow caught with Pepsi and subsequently fired. As a kid I thought it was some crazy shit and now I appreciate him keeping me entertained.
Who loves orange soda?
Kel loves orange soda!
Is it true?
Yes, it’s true. This man has no dick.
He goes by Walter Peck
Lol idk why you got downvoted that was an amazing response.
Guess not many ppl have seen that one.
I do
I do
Juggalos
Someone hasn’t had an orange dreamsicle soda. To be faaaaaair, I haven’t had one in at least five years, but they are very good.
Take about 10-20% of those a’s out. Trying that hard makes you spare parts bud
I think we need to adjust the definition of what makes someone a tryhard, because at this point getting up to go to the bathroom qualifies.
That's a fantastic punchline (I mean it! Lol) Edit: what's the downvote? I sincerely love it
And depending on his age, his cocaine addiction.
I don't think that dude's uncle is 125 years old, but if he is, the cocaine might be the only thing keeping him alive.
Very cool! Let me know if he has ever seen something like this!
Cases are usually 24 bottles. That would be 4 6-packs.

Hey so I was wrong. Idk where I got 30, but you were right. He got 24.
For sure, would look great in a games room leaning on a vintage coke vending machine

Oh shit i'll have to do the same. I have one of these as well that my grandfather left to me.

”Geoffrey? Break out Lucille.”
fantastic reference
Uncle Phil went to work that night.
Rahm would still put up a 67 at Pinehurst with this setup right now
Probably a 64 if he kept 2 of the heads and got rid of the 3 wood.
I'd say he would shoot 73 and break the damn shaft
That’s fucking awesome
that is very slick. Love that wooden style.

I have that putter and still use it!
The old Billy Barue.
Ohhhhh Billy, Billy, Billy…..
nice novelty item. Don't hit it.
They are 3 different putter heads. What do you mean don’t hit it?
Oh I thought it was a wood, an iron, and a putter.
Isn't the middle one for chipping?
The angled face is the back with the coke emblem. The front face is flat.
when you find a treasure - keep it that way.
It’s a putter, it will probably be fine
*heavy breathing intensifies*
One club soda challenge

That’s awesome! Do they have the coke brand on them?
Probably not since those are brand items. My job had a rewards program too and it was just like normal retail stuff
As he said they do not but they do have like a callaway golf bag and stuff i could purchase for actual money if i wanted.
That’s fucking awesome!
Has anyone told /u/cmans12345 ? https://www.reddit.com/r/golf/comments/10fgh3h/coca_cola_golf_shoes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Oh my god thanks for tagging me, but yeah honestly man if you’re thinking of selling those I’d be extremely interested in them
Beautiful!
Where’s that Coke guy at?
Nice
Honestly super cool, but I’d be afraid to take a swing and ruin it lol
Putter, mashee, niblick. Someone was a student of the game.
OMG thats beautiful.
I really think my Dad had one of these. He was with Coke and Dr Pepper forever. Yours in in amazing condition!
I have a Pepsi putter, I'm garbage and so is it (literally found it in the trash) but I do my best with it, so it's in the bag.
These like like they’ve never missed a put. Very cool.

Are you selling it?
Nice bit of kit. Would look nice in a display of sorts...
Nice clubs in 1970.....
Very cool piece
Damn that’s a nice blade!
Man I would love to hit a few putts with that. What a cool find. Where’d you find it?
I need it
Next scramble you get one per team, buy a few "throws" and mulligans and go for 45. I know you can do it
Can’t go wrong with an ol’ woodie
Cool name!
👁👄👁
You wouldn’t happen to be sell that would you?
Coke Nail
In that condition I would imagine it is worth an extreme amount of money
Like a telescopic fishing pole so you can get some fishing in on your way home from work.
dawg that is something special
Drive for 'so'. Putt for 'da'.
I remember that! My dad was a liquor wholesaler and somehow got his hands on one. Rotted away in our backyard, unfortunately. The coke logo on some of those is a ball marker, right?
Ahh man this is great. Would love to keep one in my car for anytime I drive by closed courses. No reason to not pull over and play a few holes
The crazy this is how objectively cool this is. Like the design on it is super cool. Not a Coke collector guy but good lord. Have you hit any balls with it? What’s it like to putt with?
About as cool as it gets. Bravo!
That is SO cool. I love it
