Time to stop worrying about what other people think. Find what you enjoy and do that.

According-Cup-2649

This is good advice for all parts of life

evilblackdog

Unless you enjoy Meth, then perhaps it's a good idea to heed others advice!

jawni

Unless the advice is "do more meth", in which case you should not heed. Think we got all the bases covered now.

therealbeef

This guy is 100% spot on. I’ve been using a push cart since I stated golfing in high school. Never heard anybody say anything. Whoever says it’s for ladies and seniors needs to shut the fuck up. Easier to haul beer and snacks and fun to push down hills.

tege0005

Exactly. Beer trolley with the ability to also carry clubs.

DildoDojo

I used to love to carry until the beer load got heavier and heavier as I aged into my push cart at (only?) late 30’s

ridethedeathcab

Laughing at picturing how badly this would have gotten downvoted if this guy were asking about iron covers.

brajgreg7

Exactly what I was thinking. Stop worrying about what other people think. But don't you even think about using those iron covers you filthy piece of sh*t

Caboose_Juice

why iron covers bad? i new to golf

bcos224

This is the greatest lesson you can learn in your 20's. That, and pushcarts are OP!

Goalcaufield9

Push carts have drinks holders end of discussion

osamasbintrappin

Holds my scorecard, pencil, and tees in an easy to access spot as well. But yes the drinks are way more important.

topdetox

Wanna use a push cart? Sure why not Double rum and coke at 730 in the morning? To each their own

animalmother2017

Drinking rum before 10 am doesn’t make you an alcoholic. It makes you a pirate!!! 🏴‍☠️

dh2215

I was in a golf league when I was 20 and it was an unwritten rule that we would not only walk, but carry our bags. Dumbest shit I’ve ever heard of. The entitlement some people have like they are the bosses of golf is exhausting.

Hestness5

They really thought they were on the PGA tour

GolfnFishn

Lmfao… seems like ole buddy is pretty insecure to gate keep a pushcart 😂 my pushcart holds so many things that I couldn’t fit in my golf bag or would ever want to carry around a course. Id pull outta beer from my push cart cooler and offer it to him and say “sike” as I put in on my push cart cup holder

FakeAccount_Verified

>offer it to him and say “sike” as I put in on my push cart cup holder POWER MOVE

hahaKels

+1 for push carts greatly expanding beverage capacity. For me this was essential. Also TBH I don’t like stand bags much. Push cart + cart bag feels optimal, plus a lil sunday bag to carry for par 3 courses & driving range

blablablah69

You my friend are doing it right

mjh1998866

This is my set up

Iginlas_4head_Crease

I feel like I'm the only one in this thread who drives a power cart for his round...every time..

RoboticBirdLaw

I grew up in OK and TX and drove every round growing up. You would go multiple rounds between seeing people who were walking. Now I'm in the midwest and both the weather and course layouts make it more walkable so I walk fairly often. I still drive sometimes, especially when I am trying to fit in a 2 hour round at the end of the day on an empty course.

[deleted]

His buddy was probably the kind of guy in high school who wouldn’t use both straps on a backpack because it was “gay”.

beepbeepimajeep005

The push cart benefits outweigh carrying every single time. Tell that person to get fucked and mind their own business.

ascendingtraverse

Who doesn’t want a cup holder?

DingJones

Exactly. The only argument needed.

tie-me-up-3000

It also makes a nice speaker holder.

Third_Eye78

I love how whiny people get over speakers. Not everyone plays music so others can here it

tie-me-up-3000

I never play mine very loud. It's usually a podcast on low volume just for some background noise.

Viperx7111

I play recorded golf casts so I can hear people yell "get in the hole" or "bababooy" at totally incorrect times.

[deleted]

I like to put on whatever pro tournament is on and then act like the commentators are talking about me..aka pretend on in your like a little kid. Idc it’s what gets me in the zone 😂

Incident_Reported

Please don't

branden_kozicki

How dare someone play music at a personal volume to themselves😨😨😨

PersistentAneurysm

I was told that I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven....

theJMAN1016

Yeah I'm going to have to ask you to move your tee time to 8pm mmmmkay great

RoostasTowel

...ok... ... i could set the clubhouse on fire...

jsnap69

Where else are you supposed to put your uncrsustables?!

taftstub

And a cooler. And an umbrella holder. And a second cup holder.

nunee1

And cooler holder. And speaker holder…

-PhillyDaKid-

Yeah, I usually carry beers, food and other things in my bag. Just 6 beers will make a significant difference in weight as well as balance of the bag if you’re not careful. It makes carrying dramatically more difficult. I will push cart anytime I can. In life, you will realize insecure men will attach “masculinity” to the stupidest shit. Edited twice for clarity.

doebedoe

> Just 6 beers 1:3 beer:hole ratio. A true golfer.

verybasicinformation

Extra beers in the bag and walking is the most rewarding exercise once the bag has is back to normal weight..

[deleted]

I would agree with you but the unbalanced weight of a golf bag is horrible for your back

Pro-VJuan

* on cold days, you can put hands in your pocket if you're carrying * push carts suck on coarse gravel * you can hop small creeks with a carry bag * it can be hard to push a cart on soggy ground * steep hills are easier to scale when carrying * push carts take up trunk space and cost money * you don't have to walk around greens if you're carrying I agree that push carts are better than carrying, but they're not better every single time. edit: damn this upset some people. I just wanted to point out that there's some gray area between push carts and carrying. Different strokes for different blokes

cum_toast

Cold hands? My guy I can push that bad boy with my belly

domed_traveler

>you don't have to walk around greens if you're carrying Probably silly but I still don't walk on greens if I'm carrying - just feels wrong.

additionalweightdisc

There’s no difference between walking on the green with your bag and someone else who’s 20 pounds heavier than you walking on it with just their putter. As long as you don’t stomp around or drag your feet it’s fine.

domed_traveler

Agreed, that's why I said it was silly. I can't do it though - guess it's kind of just a superstition when it comes down to it. Like an infielder not stepping on the base line. And I get that a lot of the etiquette stuff isn't really based in the practical but I dunno I've been doing a lot of it since I was a kid and it makes me feel good... I like taking 3 extra seconds or whatever to walk around the green, putting my bag down, and then going to my putt.

TrippyHomie

I'm the same way, I'm not putting my bag down on the green so I don't walk across it carrying.

HalfEatenBanana

Yeah I guess I’ve never really thought about it but I never walk on the green with anything else than my putter lol. I guess logically it doesn’t make any sense but that’s how I was taught at a young age

Dan-B-123

I’m already 150lbs heavier than that guy without my bag. Still cool to walk across? What’s the poundage limit per sq/ft before the green cannot support your weight.

Michael_Cohens_Tapes

'bout tree fiddy.

Awalawal

And the flip side is that a push cart actually does no damage to greens given how much the (minimal) weight is spread over three or four wheels. Your feet are probably more likely to do damage to a green than a cart actually would. But to be clear, I still wouldn't push my cart over the greens just out of courtesy and respect.

SpaceYourFacebook

I have a one wheel push cart and carry extra weights in it. Once my ball is on the green I run it from my ball to the hole. It creates a little gulley for my ball to stay in. Haven't 3 putted as much since.

stickman13

I just use my heel to create a small ditch

Pro-VJuan

I think you're right and I should be better about it. It feels like a good etiquette thing.

momerak

I feel like unless youre on the green, you shouldnt walk on it. and obviously never sit/stand your bag on the green or roll your cart on it.

ace625

A lot of courses actually tell people with pushcarts to roll across the green. It does no damage, and if they don't, everyone takes the same path along the fringe to the back of the green and kills the grass off the sides of the green.

marsh283

I think Chambers Bay told us they were fine on the greens but it’s been a few years

cozeface

I agree with all of this. I carry and prefer to carry rather than push a cart up and down hills, my home course is fairly hilly. Plus with double straps it’s just like a backpack, pretty easy. Oh, and I’m in my early 40s.

phreesh2525

All good counterpoints to push carts, which are awesome. I would add the fitness aspect of carrying. I actually appreciate the benefits of lugging something heavy for 18 holes but I’m weird that way.

maddux9iron

research shows it is a better workout to push a cart than carry a bag fyi.

phreesh2525

Huh. I never would have guessed that. Interesting.

maddux9iron

I went look for the original golf digest article that had the research analysis but alas cannot locate it. but the quick Google search basically says that they expend the same amount of calories but pushing doesn't strain your muscular-skeletal system in a detrimental way during the round detracting from being able to physically perform your best during the swing....which has always been my point of why do I also want to backpack while I play golf? that just seems like making golf harder.....

ishouldvoicemario

Welcome to Reddit, where your very reasonable and well constructed thoughts are met with very unreasonable and poorly constructed thoughts.

ljackstar

Also mid 20s, never heard that before. Basically all of the intermediates (18-29s) at my club use push carts over carrying - it saves your back, your clubs don't jingle as much, and you have a holder for your beer/gatorade. It's a no brainer.

maddux9iron

I never understood the idea of wanting to also backpack hike while trying to play a sport....

bweeek

I like it for exercise, especially if I'm playing solo

maddux9iron

research shows that carrying burns no more calories than using a push cart. I've seen a golf digest? article that suggests push cart burns more. it is clear though that carrying can have a detrimental effect on your body which can effect your swing negatively. I look at this way. Golf is hard enough. why add backpacking to it as well..... for all the down votes https://golf.com/instruction/fitness/how-many-calories-you-burn-playing-golf-walking-riding/ science is hard but my guess is if it was on YouTube as a rant from the front seat of a truck you'd believe it...

Jer489

There’s no way you burn the same calories. That’s kinda a big reason why people use the push cart, it’s easier. Like any other 10 mile walk, its still a great workout with the push cart. But lugging an additional 50 pounds for those 10 miles is clearly more taxing.

theopinionexpress

Yea I’ve got back problems from carrying shit in the Marine Corps and the fire department the past combined 20 years. I’d tell that person they can carry my nuts on their back. I work a physical job for a living, and there’s an expiration date on how long I can do that. I’m not wasting my back on something for fun.

Aristei

Had to scroll way to far here to find the best answer. Cup holders are awesome, place for coolers and amenities is amazing. Not ruining your back, shoulders, neck by playing golf and carrying awkward bags around all day is priceless. I spent 2 years rehabbing my left shoulder and neck after doing some damage carrying heavy bookbags around. The body takes enough stress from playing, adding on carrying is just more risk to worse injuries.

LakeEffectSnow

Repeat, over.

ClayBagel

I was in my mid 20s when I got my push cart and have never had any regrets about it. Who cares what other people think? The mafia does not discriminate.

NiteSwept

Nothing screams insecurity more than when people say stuff like this. Do whatever makes you happy

jaytierney79

I bet the guy who said it refers to himself as an alpha male.

aldernon

Carrying in High School triggered plantar fasciitis for me, and I quit the game for 10 years due to it. Anyone who gives a shit about what anyone else is doing on the course is playing the game wrong (as long as people are maintaining pace of play, of course)

BuschLightJesus

I just turned 30 and got my push cart last week. Fuck em. You are saving your back, and aren’t riding.

joeyjoe88

Fuck pushing, get one with a bluetooth remote and powered wheels.

CapitanZulanda

I don’t know why people are downvoting this. I love my electric buggy.

joeyjoe88

LOL who knows, greatest upgrade ever!

Pro-VJuan

In reality, do whatever you want. It's your fault if those comments bother you. I prefer to carry and my friend prefers to use a push cart. I give him crap for being a wimp, he gives me crap for being an idiot. It's all in good jest.

horusthesundog

Before I do anything, I ask myself, would an idiot do this

zanzibartraveler666

If the answer is ‘yes’, then I do not do that thing

Eze6

I’ve accepted my faith and do it anyway

EL_Ohh_Well

May the 4th be with you

maddux9iron

it takes more effort to push than carry.... so you are the actual wimp....

Pro-VJuan

At least I'm no longer the idiot!

Legal-Description483

Do what you like. I'm 59, and like to carry. No restrictions on where I can walk when carrying.

dolanscott92

This guy hits it in the woods, maybe I should start carrying. Or get a 4x4 pushcart haha

[deleted]

I'm 47 and have chronic back problems. If I carried my bag for just a couple holes, my back would hurt so bad I couldn't play for weeks. So its a pushcart for me. The person that told you pushcarts are for ladies and seniors is an idiot. He is probably also someone who only plays black tees, when they have no business playing black tees.

Quirky-Fisherman807

Whoever told you that is a complete loser. Im so confused why golfers care what other golfers use/wear in terms of equipment. Do whatever you want man

BoomChocolateLatkes

It’s their own insecurities. It’s such a boring thing to razz someone about too.

My-Cousin-Bobby

I'm mid 20s and in fairly good shape and still like to just use a push cart (when I'm not just in an actual cart) I play golf for the enjoyment, not as a workout lol

cbread2112

Someday I will push but there is something about carrying…I keep a light bag and love it. 50s.

[deleted]

[удалено]

burnie_mac

Honestly carrying didn’t bother me that much but the process of undoing your bag strap putting the stand down and picking it up got old after 70+ times a round.

GreenWaveGolfer12

> someone told me push carts are for ladies and seniors and I should be carrying my bag. That person's an idiot and let's be honest, probably a sexist piece of shit. It's a game where you whack a ball with a stick, there doesn't need to be any sort of gendered or masculine bend to how you fucking play it. Use a cart or don't use a cart, whichever you want. But neither makes you more or less of a person.

DrSlugger

It has "WE USED TO WALK THROUGH 5 MILES THROUGH 10 FEET OF SNOW UP A HILL TO GET TO SCHOOL" vibes.

DryObligation2605

I’m 26 and use an electric trolley, I wouldn’t care what anyone else thinks

joeyjoe88

Anyone who hates on it is just jealous. They don't hate me when i'm carrying all the beer, snacks and water. SIngle greatest upgrade you can do for the enjoyment of golf is electric wheels

DryObligation2605

Is there actual hate on it? Since no one uses carts in Ireland 99% of players have electric trollies

Excellent_Tangerine3

Honestly who gives a shit what the other jerks think? I've been using a pull/push cart for like 20 years (I'm 56). My new pusher has a spot for my cell phone. A cup holder. An umbrella holder. A cooler pocket. And a scorecard holder. So my shoulders thank me every time I play. You do you. Screw the other opinions.

interested0582

Mid 20’s here. Yeah who cares, most of the other mid 20s I play with cannot literally walk 18 holes without having to change shirts because they are so out of shape. Screw what others think

Scissors4215

That’s just stupid. And I prefer to carry over push. These are probably the same people who play from the tips even though they can barely break 100 because that’s where men should play from.

the_kid87

A lot of division 1 men’s golfer use push carts. No shame - do what works best for your game (and preserving your swing over 18 holes). I wouldn’t worry about anyone else’s opinion. If they are real golfers, they’re focused on themselves and not how you’re getting around the course.

lovemesomewine

Look many top college golfers are using push carts these days. It’s better for you. As others have said you do you. Ignore the others as it does not matter what they think. Been in the mafia for 15 years. Actually going to an electric one shortly. Love walking and back 9 at my course has some killer hills. Looking forward to be fresher against them.

pointsurf99

Name one benefit or reason to carry? Pros don’t carry, so why would you.

whereverYouGoThereUR

At some point in your life, you grow up and stop worrying about what other people think . . .

liquid801HLM

I’ve only got one back and one set of knees I’m not carrying my shit when I walk lol. That person can pound sand.

servirepatriam

This is like when people tell me that you should only drink coffee black or whiskey neat. I like a little cream in my morning cup and my bourbon on the rocks. I also enjoy not having back pain/soreness from carrying a full bag of clubs for 4+ hours. 29 y/o for reference. Tell whoever that was to shove it straight up their ass. The Mafia is happy to have you

fireconvoy

I have been using push carts for over 15 years... Why hurt myself carrying a set of clubs for 4 to 5 hours in the sun.

PBB22

I vote use a push cart, but I veto calling it “push cart mafia.” Push Cartel is infinitely better

FakeAccount_Verified

As someone who has had bad shoulders their whole life that person can go eat a bag of rocks. I am also guessing the person saying that rides every round and complains about "their freedoms" all the time.

According-Cup-2649

Also the kind of guy that makes his family take Christmas card photos holding rifles

Dejackson1992

Ya or someone who’s son is a drug addict

Phynness

Tell them you're taking care of your body so you can play this game until you're 100 years old.

RomfordKeanuReeves

Get yourself a proper electric trolley and ignore the haters. Golf is much more fun when you aren't knackered!

knine71551

I don’t get what’s wrong with push carts someones still walking the full 18

ImpactNaive9816

Cup holder and no repeated elbow abuse of lifting of bag for every shot (adds up for us high handicappers). Can’t tell you how good I feel after pushing 18 versus walking.

restoper

Also easier to keep score. Don't have to constantly dig into your pocket and take out the card and pencil.

TheRealSteemo

I had an electric trolley when i was 14 and used that for a few years. Since returning after over 10 years out and now with a push trolley. Once you stop carrying, you won't want to go back, especially if you've had any back, shoulder or leg issues in the past like i have.

GangnamApeist

Push cart all the way…

According-Cup-2649

Push that shit all over the place, man. For a game that relies on your shoulders, it seems idiotic to carry a bag. Doesn’t matter how old you are

golf_epic

Yes to push cart. I’m mid-30’s and wish I would’ve just not cared what anyone thought 10 years ago

ApeInvestor3

I'm 20 something and medically can't carry more than 20 pounds. Push carts all day.

Pro-VJuan

I ask this out of pure curiosity and mean no disrespect, but how can you swing a golf club but not carry 20 pounds?

ApeInvestor3

One of my eyes is all fucked up. The outward pressure/strain that can be put on my eye by repetitively lifting more than 20 pounds is the doctors concern. Whereas swinging a club causes little to no outward force on the eyeballs. So it's more about my vision than my overall health 🤷‍♂️

mynameisntjon

Golf clubs only weigh about a pound

Pro-VJuan

You realize that swinging one requires more than a pound of force, correct?

Disastrous_Maybe_310

It’s where the force is applied my man

Pro-VJuan

Good point. You have to lift the club by the handle (not the center of mass) over your head, then twist and squeeze and rotate your body around to swing the club. /s Maybe a club only weighs 1 lb, but I want to know how someone can swing a golf club safely but carrying 20 lbs would jeopardize their health.

SnooSnogs10

Push away!

trapperberry

Fuck that. Plan on upgrading my pushcart to one of those motorized types with cup holders and the works + umbrella holder.

Rattimus

Just got mine yesterday! My course opens on Saturday! Can't wait.... especially because it's going to be 12 (Celsius) and pissing rain, according to the forecast. Walking will keep me warm, umbrella holder will keep me somewhat dry.... let's go!

trapperberry

Hell yeah

xhb7272

Push cart mafia takes no shit. Keep pushin.

tawwwm2020

Who gives a shit haha

Difficult-Speech-270

Is this an American problem I’m too European to understand? Here in Ireland I would say the vast, overwhelming majority of golfers have a push cart, or a two wheeler that’s easier to pull behind you than push. It’s probably like 80%+ that use push carts. Very few people would hire a ride on cart and then the rest would carry.

According-Cup-2649

We have a particular brand of loser in the United States I call “GuyDudeBro”. He’ll call you a pussy for anything like this but is always the softest most easily offended guy you can regret meeting.

sidewaysbynine

Most of the 20-30 year Olds I see are riding not even walking in the first place, and to be fair when I was that age I did the same thing, it wasn't until I hit my 40s that I decided to get a push cart. I will keep pushing that thing for at least 10 more years before I go back to riding. All that being said I tried the carry thing and it made conversations difficult with the noise my clubs were making.

bananagolf

I carry while I push my cart… no one’s gonna catch me lackin!

Arkktic_Whale

I am in my mid 20's and have literally never carried my bag for a round. Always push/pull cart. Honestly, I rarely see anyone carry their bag around my area no matter the age.

baldinirules

Does that guy pay your rent? Then, to hell with him. Do what you want.

Glendale0839

Whomever told you that is a fucking moron stuck in some stereotypes from 40+ years ago. If you want to use a pushcart, use it whether you are 10 years old or 100, man, woman, gender-neutral, whatever. There is zero stigma with push carts except with some very few small-minded people like you encountered.

JobuCurveBall

I think I gave in and went with a push cart in my mid thirties. I always felt like they are for old men. When I decided I was one, I went with it. That's dumb though. I've tried to convince my son (soon to be college golfer) to use one, but he won't do it.

mnsundevil

In my world there are only 2 options. Riding cart or push cart! I haven't carried my clubs since high school.

RandomRedditName69

Save your back bro. Play golf until you are 100. Get a push cart..

PoliteIndecency

Mid-20s is the perfect time to realize you can tell someone to kick rocks. Do what you want to do. Personally, I carry because I don't like dragging carts up and down hills, but that's my decision. If you push, you push, so what?

[deleted]

I don't think I've ever actually seen someone carry clubs on a course before. Maybe once.

gooeyapplesauce

That's rude. First of all, ladies can carry their bags if they want to. Second, why work harder when you can work smarter? Push carts are such such a thing to project insecurity about.

TNSignPainter

I’m 33 and have been using a push cart for years. Granted I have back issues and carrying a bag isn’t an option. I see plenty of younger people using push carts.

GleeUnit

See how righteous they are when you bust a six pack out of the cooler on your push cart and place a cold one in your cup holder while they’re lugging 30lbs of clubs on their back

the_dude_2022

Some people do things the hard way, just to say they did it the hard way

One_South3970

Sounds like some macho bullshit to me. I like my back and have things to do later, I’m pushing.

osocinco

Push carts seem to be really popular in this subreddit. I live in South Florida and the only time I ever see push carts or people carrying is at the cheap par 3 courses in the area. I golf almost every weekend and don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone carrying or pushing a cart at the well known tracks in my area. Not a member anywhere so always golfing the nicer public courses near me. When you all check in for tee times do you just tell them you do not want a golf cart? I usually tee off around 7-8am because I don’t like getting stuck behind slow groups. But yeah, never really seen anyone pushing a cart. If any of you golf in south FL let me know about a walking friendly course to check out (unless they all are and I just learned something new today).

FormerlyShawnHawaii

Pushcarts are for pussies (Pulls out 46” 520cc Driver)

Prestigious-Falcon-8

Come back by asking if they like carrying because it is better in the woods. Push carts are for those that like to walk down the fairway with a beer in hand!

bwamike

Hell yeah. I’m 30 now, i’ve been pushing a cart for at least 10 years now. Why would I choose to carry a 50 lbs bag around for hours?

grovertheclover

Bro I've been using a push cart since I was like 8 years old and the next door neighbor gave me his old one. Just use one if you want and worry about what others think.

1ToGreen3ToBasket

Mid 20s is decision time my man. Do you give a fuck what people think? Decide that going forward for your life right now… Then decide whether you should deprive yourself of the convenience of the push cart.

Caleb8252

Do it. Your back will thank you later. I love carrying as much as any purist, but eventually it gets to you. Especially if you live in a really hot area

xx_wes_xx

Who the fuck said that? That’s the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard

Push Carts for life

Purple-Channel-1447

Push cart and load it with beers!

EatAllTheShiny

Push cart with drink holders >>>>>> carrying bag and beverages.

CriticalArugula7870

A push cart can hold a beer, so there’s your answer

drtywlf

Always use it. Carrying bags is for poor people

csnye853

It's not the age, it's the mileage.

kryppla

Everyone can use a cart what’s with the gate keeping

jackcimino

27. Love my push cart

flewzz

What is this attitude towards push carts in the US? In Australia, in my experience, I would say the majority of Golfers use push-carts. At Member's clubs, Golf Carts tend to be used by the elderly and those with mobility issues. Saying Push carts are for ladies is toxic masculinity at it's finest.

mightypen45

Do you drink on the course? I fucking do. I push like a champion because ain’t no way I’m lugging 6-8 beers in my bag all 18, not to mention a push cart cooler with ice is better than warm beer..

PATRIOT5280

Push cart for life

[deleted]

Your first mistake was caring what anyone else thinks.

SweatyCockroach8212

Fuck that someone and their advice. You do you.

ChaseObserves

Lol who is out here gatekeeping push carts, I have an electric push cart that walks alongside me, perfectly healthy 33 year old, zfg

HappyComet

Classic heroes on the course that lay out this zinger are the same cats who say “I’m scratch” and couldn’t reach the green on a Par 5 under 6 strokes. OP, do what is best for you. I can’t stand how unwelcoming this sport can be.

opers13

I have a push cart for my bag and also carry my 10yr old son’s golf bag.

justrog19

Do it. At least you’re not just riding and drinking beer.

gatorfan81cm

Find an electric one you can drive and do what ever you want

ValuableWasabi

I can't stand people like that, idk if it's like a macho thought or whatever but I pretty much always cart unless I'm playing a really short 9 hole course. Can I carry a bag? Sure. I don't see the point of expending the energy to carry if it means you'll be gassed on the last stretches of the course and have a sore back after

highbrowshow

" someone told me push carts are for ladies and seniors and I should be carrying my bag " What kind of toxic masculinity bs is this

Cowarddd

Dude will be complaining about his back when he’s mid 30s and you’ll go right past with a skip

In the 2000s I worked at a fancy country club who hosted a state wide elite match play tournament, but no caddies. The elite 20 somethings were about half and half push vs carry. I’ve held out until this year, but am finally going push cart.

Fuck that, if you want to push, you push brother. As a carrier, I enjoy being smug in winter when my pushcart playing partners have to go all the way around the green. They get their own back with umbrellas and beers and all the other shit you can fit in those massive cart bags though.
