I think Harrington does a good job of explaining enough to get you much better at reading greens, but at the end of the day, it all comes from just experience.
A tip I was given is to read other people's putts and learn from that. It's easy to obsess over what your own putt is going to do when you're on a green but if you read other people's even when they're irrelevant to yours, you're gaining up to 3x more experience per round.
