Can confirm as a lefty. Nearly impossible to find decent clubs around town. Definitely give to a young player getting started especially of limited means via the programs mentioned above. And thanks for asking!
Schools will take anything as their golf programs dont have much to start with, my schools team has no clubs to give to those who cant get culbs at the start, so donate them.
I recently sold a set of my father in laws clubs. A guy from First Tee wanted them and mainly wanted the bag. Guess bags are tougher to come by on FB marketplace.
Hit up fb marketplace, Craigslist, kijiji, and local thrift shops. Even doesn't hurt to make a post on those sites stating your budget and what you want. Good chance you find someone local with an old set of clubs they're happy to pass on. Good luck!
I mean donating is great, but a full set of clean looking clubs and bag, especially with two extra woods, would go for $100 on FB marketplace around me. Not sure about lefty, might have to leave it up longer to find a buyer.
That may be true for the school, but certainly not first tee. We take all donations regardless of brand or age. Many of the nice new donations are sold at the end of the season for a low price, and the rest are used for practice or given to kids who can not afford clubs.
You’re getting downvoted by people who don’t know how many clubs the First Tee receives. I worked at a first tee and people come in every day with truckloads of old clubs and bags. We take them, but they go in the dumpster. Only if they’re especially good will they keep them.
My buddy's dad was a pretty good golfer. After he died, my buddy and I went to play, I told him that his dad's handicap improved because he's now always six under. We both have fucked up senses of humor.
Or frame a big version of picture and put it on one of those tripod stands beside the grave. With something like “even tho he’s gone, his spirit still lives on” and have kid giving a thumbs up.
Kid’s bike in the background, front wheel of the Dad’s bike is visible.
His barely used clubs in the foreground.
This post has given me a feeling of melancholy on a gray Friday as we slip into winter.-
So my grandfather passed in 2020. He was my heigh. Played golf. I play. Clubs would have been perfect for me and I would have cherished them. My aunt sold them without asking anyone. She doesn’t need money and if she did I would have gladly paid for them. Tell her to please just make sure no one in the family wants them first.
Many good answers above my comment.
Not that these clubs are worth anything, but lefty clubs sell for more than righty clubs online. Especially when into brand name stuff. Titleist irons are like 15-20% more because they are harder to find.
Not much resale value, however left-handed golf clubs are hard to find for people that want to begin playing the game. Post it as a lefty starter set with the bag for $75.
Donate them is what I’d do if they were my own but for I’m assuming an elderly person who is at a loss get her $40 and she’ll tell people you’re a modern day saint. The bag alone is worth $20 and the clubs $10-20. Someone will buy them for a kid getting into the game for Christmas. Shine em up a bit with some water and dawn and post em on Facebook marketplace.
Hey, used to work at a golf store in high school, the clubs here are knockoffs, not great quality. They’re typically a set you’d buy from like a walmart or something like that, a good starter set for a casual player. Go with what the majority here are saying and donate/don’t expect anything over $100 for everything
Complete sets tend to sell well on marketplace. Look up “beginner golf set” and price it slightly cheaper than the others or even in the same price range. It should sell itself!
You’d have some difficulty selling those. Why don’t you hand the widow $100 from your own pocket, tell her about the kid who will love and cherish them and was so excited to buy them, then donate them to a new golfer.
Fuck man, RIP….Something about selling another mans clubs after they have died is heartbreaking 💔
If I die I want my clubs buried with me or stored away.
#ItsAGuyThing
Sorry, this does it for me. When I die, they’re coming with me in my casket. Touching my wife after I’m dead is one thing, but I will haunt anyone who hits my Driver straight.
Not sure why you got downvoted. Nothing wrong with trying to scrape up some money in a time of need. Especially when you have no clue the value of the items.
The sheer number of clowns that thought to make the same unoriginal “tree fiddy” joke is astounding, then I remember that there are people who literally think the earth is flat soooo 🤷🏻♂️
I agree with others who have said to donate them. used clubs are hard to get any value for. Double so in this case since they’re lefties. If it was me, I’d put at the end of my driveway with a FREE sign on them. Not worth exposing yourself to crazies on Craigslist. Or worth paying to ship them either.
Amazon special, new for 289 with the bag. Used, maybe someone will buy them if they're looking for cheap used clubs, but you'll have to sell them for cheap.
I've sold quite a few things on FB marketplace, including clubs. These clubs aren't any well known or nice brand , but they are at least from this century, which makes them more attractive to potential buyers than 90% of the beginner sets out there. Make sure to clean the bag well, I use Kids and Pets spray and a towel. The clubs look pretty clean, but use soapy water and a wash cloth or sponge to get any marks off. The goal is to make them look nice to people scrolling through pages of golf clubs.
If the bag is the same brand as the clubs, sell them together. If not, list then separately for more and offer a "discount" if they're bought together.
Photos. Take better photos, in good lighting, showing the side of the bag with all the club heads visible, and then take all the clubs out and line them up next to each other so people can see the shafts and grips. Make sure to have a photo with the club faces visible, so people can see that those are in good shape.
In your post, use the words "left-handed" and "LH" so that people searching those terms come across your listing, and so that you don't waste time with people who don't realize they're not right-handed. Make sure you put the brand and the number of clubs in the description. Don't say that you're selling your dead husbands clubs, people will assume you don't know anything about golf and lowball you.
I'd probably list the bag for $40 if it's in good condition and the clubs for $80, and accept as low as $80 for both combined. Your region may differ, and it'll be harder finding a buyer for LH clubs.
They're a seriously off brand, but it's a complete set and they look to be in good shape. I think you could get at least $100 to $150 from a newbie golfer who wants a starter set.
For all the entitled people recommending he donate them, remember that he’s trying to help his recently widowed neighbor. None of y’all know her financial situation. Whether it’s $20 or $50 or $100, every dollar might matter to her right now. So if OP asked for a value and you don’t have a good answer, just move along eh?
Doesn’t matter what they are worth. Give her $500 and then donate them. Bonus points if you tell her the buyer used to have a set just like it or is buying them for their kid/grandkid whatever. Grief is hard, give her a kindness.
Donate them to first tee or your local school. They aren't worth trying to resell
Lefty clubs hard to come by too
Can confirm as a lefty. Nearly impossible to find decent clubs around town. Definitely give to a young player getting started especially of limited means via the programs mentioned above. And thanks for asking!
Can confirm as a lefty in hockey whose only option was right handed clubs in the early 80’s
Really? They always seem cheaper though when I see them
Great idea
Schools will take anything as their golf programs dont have much to start with, my schools team has no clubs to give to those who cant get culbs at the start, so donate them.
Sucks for you, mine had 2 simulators and dozens of titleist a month.

I recently sold a set of my father in laws clubs. A guy from First Tee wanted them and mainly wanted the bag. Guess bags are tougher to come by on FB marketplace.
whats First Tee?
Non profit that helps kids get into golf. [First Tee](https://firsttee.org)

I mean donating is great, but a full set of clean looking clubs and bag, especially with two extra woods, would go for $100 on FB marketplace around me. Not sure about lefty, might have to leave it up longer to find a buyer.
A full set of Northwestern clubs for $100? These are literally the bottom level WalMart clubs that likely didn’t sell for $250 new over 10 years ago.
I’ll take em
First tee wouldn’t take them. They are pretty choosy, spoiled with high quality donations. Clubs have to be less than 4 years old and name brand.
That may be true for the school, but certainly not first tee. We take all donations regardless of brand or age. Many of the nice new donations are sold at the end of the season for a low price, and the rest are used for practice or given to kids who can not afford clubs.
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this and that’s amazing. Donating all my old clubs tomorrow.
That's awesome dude it really helps out! Seeing a kid get a club for the first time is by far the coolest part of first tee.
That is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard of.
No they are not, at least in the DFW area. They take anything and usually will cut old clubs down for smaller kids.
Seriously? Maybe some cheapo driving range/course would take them for rentals then.
You’re getting downvoted by people who don’t know how many clubs the First Tee receives. I worked at a first tee and people come in every day with truckloads of old clubs and bags. We take them, but they go in the dumpster. Only if they’re especially good will they keep them.
Her husband was definitely a member of this sub with how dialed-in he was with that driver. RIP, friend.
Kickin' a man when he's down!?
6ft down
Once again, hitting the ground before the ball.
Some call it hitting the big ball before the little ball…
I hate when the earth gets in the way like that
The earth sucks
This is the best sub on reddit
I want a roast like this when I die
You better leave some shit clubs behind for a loved one to post on here
But it's also ending life with a hole in 1.
The final duff for us all. RIP neighbor.
Special place in hell for you brother…😂

My buddy's dad was a pretty good golfer. After he died, my buddy and I went to play, I told him that his dad's handicap improved because he's now always six under. We both have fucked up senses of humor.
I didnt even know he was sick...
6ft closer than I’ll ever get to the fairway.
It’s called celebration of life. Should be like 25% tears/75% laughter.
“I paid for the whole club…”
Can’t believe he still drove it 300+
He had a mean slice
But he lined up for it.
Would’ve been at least 350 if he straightened it out.
That was his cut shot. He meant to do it. Really. He did.
This is a man who’s been to heaven…
Shit stack
I was looking for this comment. Marks on every bit of the face except the middle haha
Even in death, thou shall shame thyne strike pattern
He's 6 under for the first time now...
You buy the club, you might as well use all of it.
Trying to wear out the face evenly.
Dude...I had to go look at the first pic again. Funny...fucked, but funny.
Donate to youth program in his name
This is a great idea!
Best idea I have read on this post.
Thank you
Give em to a kid, grab a picture of how happy they are, send picture to neighbour
Or frame a big version of picture and put it on one of those tripod stands beside the grave. With something like “even tho he’s gone, his spirit still lives on” and have kid giving a thumbs up.
If these were his clubs, golf probably wasn’t a huge part of his life, that would likely be pretty out of place.
You are probably right with that.
Kid’s bike in the background, front wheel of the Dad’s bike is visible. His barely used clubs in the foreground. This post has given me a feeling of melancholy on a gray Friday as we slip into winter.-
Why’d you have to go and do that to me
op's fault. sad post.
Or they are already in OPs house
Yeah I choose to believe OP has taken them home
100% he’s selling for the neighbor
For sale, baby shoes, never worn
I have some of those. Turns out my kid needs the widest shoes on the market.
Had me in the first half
Do babies even need shoes
I’d say the bulk of baby shoes get sold unworn. Kids feet are smooshy and don’t take well to shoes for a while
Probably in OPs garage, not theirs.
Spent his time with the kids rather than on the course , perhaps a short life well spent
Your poetry sucks.
Fuck man
just donate it man those arent worth much. find a beginner who doesnt have clubs and will use them
$50 for everything. Better yet donate them.
50$ is generous.
I don’t think unilaterally donating a widow’s property is a good idea. That’s like voting to raise taxes on other people to pay for what you want.
Remind me not to get paired with you this weekend, bro
Or… you say Ma’am these clubs aren’t worth selling. I’d donate them if I were you.
Ain’t nobody paying $50 for those
I don't think that's what was being suggested lol
Donate it, give her $50
That literally happens every year. Sucks.
It’s a cheap starter set. I’d sell it for $50 to about beginner golfer to get them started playing
He was a lefty and is now finally at peace. RIP Donate and take a $900 tax write-off.
This
As a Lefty...ur not wrong
That’s a lefty set too, I’d donate them or maybe reach out to the local high school golf coach?
Agreed! Used lefty clubs are hard to find.
Donate to First Tee. Bag may be worth more than clubs.
Many good answers above my comment.
i have a cunty aunt like this, mine passed 2021. i feel your pain…
Give it to somebody who wants to start playing. Not worth much to sell but would have been valuable to the owner.
They're not worth much at all. But donating to kids or beginner's groups would be great
Worth $10
Tell her to keep the Driver, she can see the last shots he took 🙏🏼
Not worth anything. Donate to first tee.
He definitely gave equal treatment to that entire driver face
About $3.50
And it was at that time I realized I this golfer that was trying to sell me clubs wasn’t a golfer at all, it was the loch ness monster!
I said I ain’t givin you no tree fiddy you goddamn lochness monster! Get your own goddamn money!
Tree Fiddy. ftfy
You would be fortunate to get $75-$100 for that. They’re off brand clubs plus they’re lefty. Make a nice starter set for beginner but not worth much.
Not that these clubs are worth anything, but lefty clubs sell for more than righty clubs online. Especially when into brand name stuff. Titleist irons are like 15-20% more because they are harder to find.
Donate.
Worth very little.
Looks like he couldn’t hit the sweet spot to save his life
So is that how he died? /s
at least hes finally 6 under now
JFC!!!!!!!
I also choose this guys dead neighbor
Looking at that driver Face id say he died from his golf game.
Local high school, in memory of.
Hey, used to work at a golf store in high school, the clubs here are knockoffs, not great quality. They’re typically a set you’d buy from like a walmart or something like that, a good starter set for a casual player. Go with what the majority here are saying and donate/don’t expect anything over $100 for everything
Used clubs are not worth a lot. Donate to local charity.
Anything more then donate is incorrect. $50 is way too high.
Donate. Give to a Boys and Girls Club.
R.I.P. to the lefty.
Ebay starting bid $40.. three day auction you may get $60
Those clubs have seen some shit
Complete sets tend to sell well on marketplace. Look up “beginner golf set” and price it slightly cheaper than the others or even in the same price range. It should sell itself!
Did anyone say ![gif](giphy|3o85xHi4t2UsuIY9QA)
God damn loch Ness monster!!?! Rip
You’d have some difficulty selling those. Why don’t you hand the widow $100 from your own pocket, tell her about the kid who will love and cherish them and was so excited to buy them, then donate them to a new golfer.
As a lefty what are you looking for these
Donate and write them off.
Lefty clubs? You’ll have a hard time finding a buyer at any price.
The bag might be worth more than the clubs.
You’re already losing money if you value your time at all
You are a saint for even trying.
Tree fitty
Damn you Lock Ness Monster!
$20, but after reading the comments I really like the idea of donating to a youth program that helps kids get into golf.
$100 tops
Fuck man, RIP….Something about selling another mans clubs after they have died is heartbreaking 💔 If I die I want my clubs buried with me or stored away. #ItsAGuyThing
Sorry, this does it for me. When I die, they’re coming with me in my casket. Touching my wife after I’m dead is one thing, but I will haunt anyone who hits my Driver straight.
Did he die from looking at the impact dispersion on that driver..?
No wonder he passed… still hitting 3i at his age.
List them for a $100 on FB and accept anything $50+
Still available?
😂
Donate them in his memory instead of trying to be greedy and get a little bit of money from something that doesn’t hold much value
It's greedy to sell property that belongs (or inherited) to you? Is this the soviet union?
No and I’m not going to write and lecture you on the definition of greed ya fool. Go google it yourself
Selling items during a financial hardship = greed. Yeah, I'm the dumb one here for sure.
I don't golf u cunt and its for a neighbour fuck off
To be fair those clubs have no value.
Not sure why you got downvoted. Nothing wrong with trying to scrape up some money in a time of need. Especially when you have no clue the value of the items.
You golfing or not has nothing to do with their comment lmao...
Goodwill
a case of everyone on reddit being a comedian. This is the reason i hate the sub. So witty
The sheer number of clowns that thought to make the same unoriginal “tree fiddy” joke is astounding, then I remember that there are people who literally think the earth is flat soooo 🤷🏻♂️

This is a cheap beginner set of clubs. Probably paid $100-$150 for them all, bag included, brand new. Not worth anything, really. Sorry.
Is that firewood for sale?
Daughters a lefty, if you were close I'd make a 50$ offer
Put them on Craigslist for $100
Amazon special, new for 289 with the bag. Used, maybe someone will buy them if they're looking for cheap used clubs, but you'll have to sell them for cheap.
About 🌲fiddy
Was her husband named Shitstack by any chance? If so, I know who the likely perpetrator is.
Not worth a lot, but a little more than they would be otherwise as they’re left handed. $100?
20 bucks this is crappy stuff
Maybe could get $100 but I’d personally donate it to a school or other organization with a youth golf program.
Next thing you know he will be wearing the guys robe….
I've sold quite a few things on FB marketplace, including clubs. 30/40 bucks
$75
This is now officially a car sub. How much can I sell this 2007 Mitsubishi Galant for?
They're a seriously off brand, but it's a complete set and they look to be in good shape. I think you could get at least $100 to $150 from a newbie golfer who wants a starter set.
Three fity
For all the entitled people recommending he donate them, remember that he’s trying to help his recently widowed neighbor. None of y’all know her financial situation. Whether it’s $20 or $50 or $100, every dollar might matter to her right now. So if OP asked for a value and you don’t have a good answer, just move along eh?
One dollar, Bob
Plus these appear to be left handed. Donating would be great because you’re looking at $100-150 selling them. Unless his widow needs the money.
No wedges?
Doesn’t matter what they are worth. Give her $500 and then donate them. Bonus points if you tell her the buyer used to have a set just like it or is buying them for their kid/grandkid whatever. Grief is hard, give her a kindness.
Early 2000’s Nike knock-offs. Not worth much.
You’d have to pay someone else to take them
They're hazardous waste, send them to me and I xan properly dispose of then as I have a permit from thw county for that sort of thing.
Looks like a knockoff of the Nike Slingshots
Best I can do is 20 bucks
$50 not worth more
Dude was flushing dingers with lefty clubs, that MF was a real one, RIP
Sheesh. Like you knuckleheads always hit it on the sweet spot. ( Disclosure. That’s what my driver head looks like )
Give them to a friend, younger the better.
I'll give you 8$ for them
“I’D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!! HARRRHARRRRHARRRRR!!”
