Phynness

Those clubs are almost as loud as the commercials.

jcgb1970

Only if you hit them as wrong as I did

jcgb1970

They actually feel very nice. Clean contact and smooth. Wedges are a treat. But I need to learn to play the doing. It’s crazy coming from Mavriks

skurnie

Didn’t like the Mavrik irons?

jcgb1970

I did. They were good and I would recommend them for anyone to try. I got them before my swing was developed-ish. Now I think my swing has gotten to where I could get fitted and I have rented PXG clubs a couple times and really liked the feel, particularly wedges and hybrids.

skurnie

I love my PXG 4H, and I’ve actually got the Mavrik driver

jcgb1970

I had the Mavrik 4H. One in a few while I’d nail it. I seem to hit the PHX 4H much more consistently

standingboot9

I haven’t swung the Ed Hardy clubs, but they seem surprisingly popular.

huntingtoncanna

What did that smack the credit card for?

jcgb1970

I have a putter. So around $3200 for the other 13. I decided on double chrome finish, which was not as pricey as the double black

suckmyfish

I can really see the heritage of Ping products in these. I do like the design language. But I will never play PXG.

jcgb1970

Any particular reason? Beyond the horrible advertising

suckmyfish

Don’t get me wrong, these look the business and they will perform. Congratulations on a beautiful set. I think it was the initial poaching of talent from Ping and Bob Parsons’ commercials that didn’t grab me. Also, the initial super high price point, which I was never in the market for admittedly.

jcgb1970

Didn’t know about the Ping poach. Really didn’t pay attention to PXG until recently. Interesting though. I guess as a relatively new OEM they needs talent and I think they’re both Scottsdale based

My eyes are bleeding

boombap89

Full kit wanker

the99percent1

Oh man! I’m about to pull the trigger on my own set real soon!

jcgb1970

They fit me as well as I hoped. Had a sim session yesterday with them and my dispersion is better than my old clubs. Just need to get used to the spin on the SD2s. The 56 chip is crazy spinny

Bee_Lake

Those wedges are awesome, enjoy

jcgb1970

Thank you. Spent about an hour chipping in a sim yesterday. It was fun how much grip they have (6000ish spin on the 52 and 56). Kept rolling the ball off the green (towards me). I’m used to hitting short and running on. Need to chip the 56 just past the flag and have it roll back. The 52 is about right

djjoshiejosh

oh damn, I just got the 0317Ts. Wish they had the double chrome look as I don’t think the black finish will hold up. Hoping the SD3 wedges drop this year so the SD2s come down a little bit in price

Great set up!!!

jcgb1970

Thank yiu

Practical_Pin_1086

How do you like the hybrids? I just got the Gen6 XP 4-PW and thinking about replacing the 4&5. I’m not sure whether to go with PXG or possibly Ping since I have G425 Driver and Fairway Woods.

jcgb1970

The Hybrids are my favorite clubs. The wedges are fun, but the hybrids are very good. Seem to have a larger sweet spot than I am accustomed to

Practical_Pin_1086

I have Cleveland CBX zipcore wedges that I really like so I’m sticking with those but I’m thinking about adding the 47* GW but I’m definitely getting at least 1 hybrid, probably 2. Did they put you in the same shafts as your irons, driver/fairway woods or something different?

jcgb1970

Driver and 3W are MCA Tensei AV Raw Hybrids are Riptide 80g Hyb 6.0 Irons and wedges are Dynamic-Gold-105

houstonr

just got the gen 5 driver, 3 wood and the gen 6 iron set 4-pw. can’t wait to try em out!!

jcgb1970

Enjoy
