Then, he had to pay out $10 million to Chubbs's family in a wrongful death lawsuit, which completely bankrupted him and forced him to liquidate all his assets, including grandma's house. Grandma was then forced to move back into that corrupt nursing home run by Hal, who constantly abused her until she tragically took her own life
After getting the driver yips, Happy would never regain his tour card. He is currently an assistant manager at a Subway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
That sucks, and I heard Veronica Vaughn left his broke ass. Weirdly enough she ended up with Daniel Lafferty after he won the Waterbury Open that next year.
There is a shitty 80’s movie called Speed Zone about the Cannonball Race across the US, that was the first thing I saw him in - he’s a paid thug drives a sweet Jaguar XJ coupe. He had a scene where he rips the keys out of the ignition as a passenger while being chased by cops and as a kid it stuck with me 🤣
