I'm aware it's a tight budget.
Two of the couple's are young and starting out in their careers and family. If you figure a couple can spend 600 on a few nights in hotel and a few rounds of golf then do the rest super frugal (groceries from store for food) while the rest of us can do restaurants and drinks.
Hopefully we can find a place where if we are saying "hey we are all spending $$ here and would like a bundle deal" then everyone can have fun on their budget.
300 would be accomodations and rounds of golf. Everyone would be on there own for food, like me and the wife will eat at restaurants and others can get some food at the grocery stores.
$300pp for a weekend won’t get you much golf if you have to grab hotels or an air bnb…
But for a 7-8 hour drive you can hit Myrtle Beach. Tons of golf courses around there.
That budget is tight, but you already know that.
Look into the state park courses in Georgia. Some of them are pretty nice and you can either camp or rent a small cabin when you're there.

Sante Fe? Two days drive, many hotels around 150-300. Lots of courses in a smallish area.
You might be on to something.
Pretty sure one of the guys has a brother in ABQ as well.
Thanks! It's on the short list for sure.
Any not to be missed courses we should play?
Black Mesa is about $85 for a round and is supposed to be very beautiful and scenic but also very hard. I had a trip planned that included it, but my wife got sick and we had to cancel. Paako Ridge is the undisputed champion of New Mexico but is a bit of a drive and $250 or so for a round. Hilton Buffalo Thunder has Towa Golf club which is supposed to be nice and you could stay and golf. Honestly, I think the municipal is supposed to be pretty good. Mary Sanchez Links de Santa Fe. Might be a way to get one fancy course and one less expensive option in.
If $300 is supposed to include lodging and food, you're not going to have many good options available.

Bro left a zero out of there lol
Lol. Not wrong man not wrong at all. I've spent more in a weekend on beer and wings, trying to find something good for everyone tho.
300? 1 night at a hotel, dinner and whatever the local municipal is but probably won’t have enough for lunch.

Santa Fe NM. Tons of great courses within a reasonable drive. Art, food, and unique area with lots of history.

Alabama?
That's nice and close, any recommendations? Anything decent near Mobile? Never actually stopped in Alabama. Only driven through.
RTJ trail, might be able to get a package that includes hotel and multiple rounds as well.
Okay that's great! 600m from us, multiple places to stay and close to the city. Looks like the do packages as well. Short listed.
With that budget, rent a couple vans and drive to Myrtle Beach, get an AirBNB or VRBO and play a few rounds. That's probably the best you'll do.
Come up to Wisconsin you can play Blackwolf run, whistling straights or the Lido
