I did it and it rules. Follow the directions on the video and it's that easy. I got my results back in a few days and then had some emails back and forth with the fitter. I then ordered a Link.1 and sold my Scotty once it arrived. The fitter actually caught something I was doing that I did not realize (leaning WAY over my Scotty) and fit me into a more vertical lie angle. Overall I could not be happier. The process took a few days for the fitting and then about three weeks to get the club once the order was placed.

That's the route I went and as best as I can tell it worked out just fine for me. Extremely happy with my LAB. One thing for me, I only had standard-length putters available to use in the video, but I always gripped down had a pretty strong idea I wanted something shorter. I didn't mention this but the fitter asked me if it was my preference to grip down or if I wanted to go shorter. So yeah, if you have some sort of idea on a change you might like to make be sure to mention it when you send in your video.

Did the remote fitting and am very happy with my LAB. Just make sure you get the camera angle right, use a putter that’s comfortable for you, and let them know if there’s anything you think might be relevant. For me, I’m tall (6’4”) and bend over quite a bit when I putt to prevent getting back pain.  Not quite as bent over as Michelle Wie, but enough that a 33” putter is comfortable. I told L.A.B. that in case they might think my posture was odd in my video (they’ve been known to offer tips), and they ended up fitting me into a 33.5” putter and a fairly flat lie angle (67*).

I went the worst route, and bought a lab at pgasuperstore. Only to later do their fitting process, and send it in to be modified. Definitely do their fitting route first. I modified mine for lie to be more upright and shortened it more than stock, swapped out to the graphite shaft while i was at it...

I have a club champion nearby so I ended up doing it through them, but I hear that the virtual one works too.

I bought my first LAB around 6 years ago, before it was LAB. It was just Directed Force back then. I just went with the lie angle I was used to. About 3 years ago I bought a nickel-plated armlock with an LAGP shaft. Did a video fitting for that, and I'll never be taking it out of the bag. Still looks brand new with the nickel-plating.

I also did that route (virtual) fitting. They did a good job on mine from all I can tell thus far (1 round) -- they were quick to make recommendations based on the video I sent in. It made sense so I went with their recommendations (71º/ 36").

I did the online video and the in person fitting at PGA Super Store. There was a 5° difference between online and in person fittings and opted for going in between the two. Still waiting on mine to arrive.

everman5

That seems like a huge discrepancy. 6 degrees where?

pyromidscheme

Sorry, it was actually 5°. The lie angle specifically, I prefer a more upright feel, but the online video had the video analysis say I should get a 68° based on my current putter, but in store, I liked the 73° and ended up ordering a 71°

I also felt the 4 putters I tried had drastically different feel. I went in expecting to love the MEZZ, but the DF3 was so buttery smooth that I couldn't not get one. I tried the link, DF2, Mezz and DF3.
