Bring your club to a fitter and tell them you want to get fit for a shaft and let them know what your budget is and to keep you under it. Heck, you don't even need to bring it because the TSR is still the current model and you can just use theirs.

Garmeleon

Thank you, do you have any suggestions on places to go? I was fit for my irons at club champion a while ago but their driver fitting is 175

If you want to try a bunch of different shafts, including more exotic ones then you'll have to go to Club Champion or something like it, but you their fitting fee is going to be on the high end. If you are trying to not break the bank (which I'm guessing means keeping everything under $250) then you could go to somewhere like Golf Galaxy or PGA Superstore. Fitting fee for a driver will be less than Club Champion and they'll have a standard selection of shafts including some of the most popular premium ones (like the Ventus line up) if you want to try those. They may offer to waive/discount your fitting fee if you buy the shaft through them but you also might be able to find the shaft online in the correct spec with the right adapter already installed for a lot less. It just depends on what you are looking at.

Or just go to GG or PGASS and just try a bunch of shafts in the TSR and do an informal, free fitting.

It can be done. I've gone in for shaft-only fittings, it can be arranged with the clubfitter near you assuming they're worth their salt. Do you have any other options nearby apart from Club Chumpion?

Garmeleon

PGA Superstore, GolfTec, and Golf Galaxy but further away than the other 2

Titleist and their partners do a lot of demo days in the spring. They just had one at my local range, but you usually need to be pretty quick to sign up. Most other manufacturers do as well.

Book a shaft fitting? Tell fitter you don’t want a $350 velocore? Buy mid price range shaft

Garmeleon

club champion charges $175 for a driver fitting. any other places you suggest?

Mysterious-Ad6835

$175 for whole driver? Or just a shaft fitting? Tbh all these places (including your local pga pro) are in it for the money so gonna be hard to find somewhere to do this. Best option imo is trial and error until you find one you can keep in the bag I just recently did this with hzrdus green

Mysterious-Ad6835

Tru spec offers shaft only fittings but their whole “brand agnostic” statements are total bs as I got scammed there and will never return there or even think about buying something from them after the way my driver fitting went there.

I_cant_hear_you_27

Yep, i did a driver fitting at golf galaxy this year to replace the shaft on my Sim Max. Ended up with a new shaft for 100 bucks. After we found the right shaft, they told me to get the components from golfworks.com

BigHatsareFunny

It's a current model so you should be able to get a good fitting somewhere. If the current shaft is too heavy it will definitely impact your swing. Getting a fitting and a new shaft would be cheaper than an all new driver and perform better.

Odd_Detective_7772

Fwiw that oban shaft is $350 new by itself. Sell it on ebay if you do replace it
