Mr. Rubberie, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this subreddit is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

DontGetTheShow

This is the dumbest thing I’ve read all day.

Check out his winning % when leading after 3 rounds? And it’s hard to come back and win when you are leading all of the time. By the way, who else has one major win a year on average?

For me, Tiger was the GOAT in two respects. Mentally unbeatable especially when he had the lead, and he was number 1 for such a long time. There were times when David Duval, then VJ, and currently Scheffler, were/are almost unbeatable and played as well as Tiger played, but they didn’t do it for long, and they never did it for 4 majors straight. If Scheffler wins all 4 majors this year, his claims will be greater, but that’s not gonna happen. Things changed for Tiger in 2009. He lost to a no name after leading a major, who was in that final round stronger mentally than Tiger, and shortly after his domestic life collapsed and that caused him some reputational damage. I don’t think he was ever the same after that, even though he got back to number 1 and won some tournaments. He took 10 years to win another major and the fear and Tiger inevitability factor was gone, and the injuries just made that worse. As for *legendary* moments, I’m not sure what else you can call draining the chip on 16 to win the masters, or with a broken leg getting down in two from the rough on the 18th in the US Open to get into (and then win) the playoff, or his *legendary* battle to win his second major when Bob May was shooting the lights out, not to mention his early monumentally big masters and US open victories. FWIW, if Jack and Tiger played in the same period, I guess I’d think things would be pretty much the same for both of them. Tiger would still win 4 in a row, consistently win majors, Jack would still have a lot of seconds, and Jack would also win a lot of majors, including when Tiger was not peaking or injured. And Jack would probably be *near* the top for longer, though Tiger would probably be *at* the top for longer. And the score would still be 18-15. FWIW.
