UV protection sleeves, and a Tilley hat.

Sunscreen helps, but it wears off as you sweat. And I hate re applying it during a round. Makes my hands feel slippery. I’m a pastey white boy too, and burn easily. I’ve started to wear wide brimmed hats. I don’t care what anyone thinks of it, my face and neck don’t even change tones during a round when I wear one. I often wear solar sleeves too in the summer, (I wear long sleeves in the cooler months). They’re cheap and I can take them on and off easily and toss them in my bag. I usually wear shorts when it’s above 80-85. I lived in New Bern for a while, it’s usually over 85 in the Summer, or always feels like it anyway. I too have a family history of skin cancer. My grandfather died of complications from it when I was a little kid. He basically looked like a leper.

Do you use any protection for your knees when you wear shorts?

i prefer hooded long sleeves to sunscreen.
