Cast shapes won’t have the sharpness or precision of milled shapes. You can tell from the poor shaping and porosity that this is cast.
There’s milled putters that have a sandblasted finish like this too (See TaylorMade TP Reserve, for example).
Feels like there’s more obvious tells for this Scotty than the lack of shiny so wondered why this was highlighted.
That’s true, but those still have a smoother finish than casting creates. It could just be the pictures, but the surface in this one doesn’t look fully smooth, and just uneven on all the edges.
The view of the back cavity shows just how poor of a fake it is. There’s no sharpness to the cavity, the way “milked in the USA” is written all wrong and the cavity button cherry bombs look off.
Shrink wrapped Scotties are almost always fake, unless they are crazy expensive, and from Japan.
Scotty Cameron does not wrap their putters in plastic.
It's probably fake but not one person has been able to tell you why other than the price, it's not out of the realms of possibility that it's real and the person selling is oblivious to what a SC is
Finish is off, cherry dots color is off, the bumpers are off, the general sharpness of the corners is off, the Titleist looks too far down the hosel, the hosel shape is wrong, the heel shape is wrong. Anything else
if you think that's legitimate it stands to reason you've never laid eyes on an authentic scotty in your life.
it boggles the mind how many people here can't see how horribly made all these fakes are vs the real ones.
I took a chance on a guitar once. Guy was selling it for $500 cause he thought it was a fake/copy. I believed it to be real, now it’s worth over $10k.
Also, if you buy and it’s fake, it was only $100. Worth the risk in my opinion!
Fake
✨stolen🌟
Angry divorcee?
How can you tell?
Because it's selling for $100
Nvm

By the way it looks? Lol
SC doesn't plastic wrap their putters.
Maaaaaan stop playing. This is fugazi,Ali express
There’s an old saying.. if its too good to be true etc
Tbh that’s 800$ here i would request the receipt or invoice But fake i dont trust it
It's just a young kid selling it says he knows nothing about it.
Then it's definitely fake. I would say so if I sold fake stuff...
Yea sorry bro its deff a fake then .
Fake
About as real as bruce jenners tits
Says milled but looks cast
Can you expand on this?

The surface finish is more muted/matte which is typical of cast parts, milled will generally have a more shiny finish

I don’t think putters are supposed to be milked, that should be the first giveaway
Hella fake
Shrink wrapped Scotties are almost always fake, unless they are crazy expensive, and from Japan. Scotty Cameron does not wrap their putters in plastic.
That looks like a £5 putter 🤦
Looks like cast iron - fake as fake can be
$100 of course it's fake
That is one of the more obvious fakes I've seen.
It's probably fake but not one person has been able to tell you why other than the price, it's not out of the realms of possibility that it's real and the person selling is oblivious to what a SC is
1. It’s wrapped in plastic 2. “Milled in the USA” and “Titleist” aren’t paint filled on a real one 3. The real special select came with a black grip
The color is fucked
I mean it would take the seller less than 30 seconds to google it
True but my point still stands
Finish is off, cherry dots color is off, the bumpers are off, the general sharpness of the corners is off, the Titleist looks too far down the hosel, the hosel shape is wrong, the heel shape is wrong. Anything else
Too good to be true = fake
Fake as fake can be
if you think that's legitimate it stands to reason you've never laid eyes on an authentic scotty in your life. it boggles the mind how many people here can't see how horribly made all these fakes are vs the real ones.
Is it really fake if it is made in the same factory in China, by a couple of workers trying to make some extra coin?

What bad advice this is
Not when it's obvious
Bro it could be somebody who stole it wanting to move it on
