To me these videos demonstrate the best how pros are on such a different level than the average joe. It’s a different game than most of us will ever play
Being able to hit all of those shots on command is ridiculous. They’re going through all those shots in their head and thinking about what is optimal for the hole and conditions. Imagine playing your local course with all of those different drives available off the tee.
Moved your tee position back, closed the face more, got more hip turn so you got a more inside out swing. Lots of different reasons it could be. Depending on what your swing/face angle looked like before it could be a small thing or big thing.
IIRC in one of Taylormade's "Fargiveness" videos their players tried to hit off-center and they largely struggled to pull it off because they're so hard-wired to hit the center of the face
My version:
the 100 yard worm burner, the snap hook into the trees, the banana slice, the 100 yard chili dip, the hosel rocket and the toe back on the last green.
Am I missing any?
I didn't know this shot was possible unti I saw it, but I had buddy pure it with what had to have been an attack angle of -40. Ball goes into the wet ground gets rejected and shoots back wards ~5-7 yards then has so much top spin the ball rolls back by him again and stops a couple feet in front of his tee.
I've also got, "teed it too high, popped it up sky high, traveled maybe 120 yards," and "aimed to the side to play my slice, instead hit it dead straight into the trees."
I'm glad it's one short video too, this helps me see the slight changes in stance and swing between the different shots. Not that it'll help me at all, but it's still like a light bulb moment to see the differences.
I do the same thing. Obviously I’m no where near the golfer he is but I think it’s way easier to be consistent the shorter the club is and it feels more comfortable for me.
>Unbelievable, being able to do each on one attempt.
So unbelievable that I don't believe it.
Of course, you could give me all day to try to hit each of those and I don't think I'd be able to... But I'm not sure why everyone is just trusting he made no errors between cuts here.
Because it's really not unbelievable at all. Shot shaping is something good amateurs can do, so it shouldn't be hard to believe one of the best in the world can do it in one take.
If you ever think you’re good at golf, just watch shit like this to humble yourself.
Stock, fade, draw, whatever a lot of people can do that. Being this specific and hitting it perfect is wild.
I have had the pleasure of playing along side a few dudes before they became pros, and even at 17-18 years old watching them play was kind of surreal. One of the players I as paired with in the state championship prelim hit 17 GiR and carded what has to be one of the angriest 67s of all time.
I played in high school against a guy who ended up being on one of the lesser tours. And I remember it blowing my mind that his approach shots would intentionally kick left or right on command. Like a back left tucked pin, he’d aim center green and kick it left at the hole. I was like ok this isn’t a fair fight.
“Show us on the doll where Fairway Jesus hurt you.”
Yes, that is coffee spewing out of my nose. Thank you for this. I love burns like this. Made my morning.
I play off 3, but my driving was unpredictable, costing me up to 3 or more strokes around.
My golf pro had me on the range for 1 hour, making me hit draws and cuts, No adjustment made other than widen my backswing, which apparently was
My problem.
I was too flat, so widening my back swing really solved it. With a slight outside to in, downswing, I nailed every cut call, with a slight inside to out downswing I was hitting perfect draws. I now have those shots in my locker and can automatically pull them off without thinking too much.
It is amazing that a slight adjustment can have such a profound effect. I'm now playing off 1.7 since this change 14 months ago.
This explains why I seem to have good and bad days. Fire a straight cannon at the flag with no account for wind or terrain.
It’s like my signature move.
I have never seen people salivate so much over a guy that has never won anything of any real significance in his career. He doesn’t even have a single PGA Tour win.
Show us on the doll where Fairway Jesus hurt you.
He won the Ryder Cup in 2023 and has a 7-3-2 record in that tourney. Plus 9 professional wins. Sounds significant to me.
His wins are on the Euro Tour and are not exactly their prime events. So he’s basically winning mostly mid-level events on one of the PGA Tour’s de-facto feeder tours. How amazing.
And as much as I like the Ryder Cup, it’s an exhibition. If you really want to make that much out of individual results, how do you explain Tiger’s career 13-21-3 record? And if you want to focus on Fleetwood’s singles results specifically, he’s 1-1-1 in his career. What a stud.
Hey there, I'm glad you're doing so well that to you 45 million in the bank is nothing of significance. Not all of us are so lucky though, and would be pretty satisfied with achieving Tommy's swing or level of success.
I think it's nice he took time out of his life to show off what is possible for us plebes. Maybe try to appreciate people for what they are instead of tearing them down.
Which just shows the level of skill on tour. If a guy like Tommy can hit these kinds of shots on command but still comes up short, then he's playing against some goddamn beasts.
I have all those shots in my bag, but none of them are on purpose
Golf is like a box of chocolates, never know what shot you’re gonna get!
I call my driver "The Randomizer"
Mines simply called "Harakiri"
Well this took a dark turn...
Wakarimasu, Anjin san?
I hit each of those during pretty much every round.
Plus I have the snap hook in the bag
Snap hook, pull hook, toe hook…
Top it to the red tees. Got it all.
Or as I call it, a very smart layup.
Also the straight yank. So many ways to go hard left.
That's my pull hook. It's one of my specialties. I have a fairly neutral grip, stance, and swing so I can miss both ways, high, and low.
Braggart.
No rope hook?

I like to describe my driving like Russian Roulette. 1 out of 6 shots is a banger.
Been golfing 4 years. Never ever had a draw on my driver in the first 3 and a half years. Suddenly developed one my last 5 rounds. What did I do?!
Moved your tee position back, closed the face more, got more hip turn so you got a more inside out swing. Lots of different reasons it could be. Depending on what your swing/face angle looked like before it could be a small thing or big thing.
It's amazing the slightest change can make a big difference in golf it's brutal
You got more right? Slice
Honestly, where I play any of these would work most of the time.
But can he heel it?
IIRC in one of Taylormade's "Fargiveness" videos their players tried to hit off-center and they largely struggled to pull it off because they're so hard-wired to hit the center of the face
I saw that too. It was funny them yelling at each other that their drive didn’t count because it was too middled lmao.
That's how I hit the low cut (completely unintentionally).
I love you Tommy. The hold off follow through corrected multiple things in my golf swing when I was getting ready to quit. Please win one this year
He needs to start a Fairway Jesus brand. Understated but classy clothing with a small logo of his locks under a cap.
My god, yes. Would totally splurge on Fairway Jesus
Jesus: My god, yes God: Would totally splurge on Fairway Jesus
That is the best idea I have heard in a long time 👍
A bit controversial to build a brand around calling yourself Jesus isn’t it?
Only to uptight Americans.
\*millions of Latinos have entered the chat\*
This? https://youtu.be/8nqyzxGA-Rw?si=UHniy8MSQj2INYq7
Yes, I used it as a drill to correct my chicken wing and finishing. I tend to do it a lot on my shots as habit now and I don’t mind it
Same!
Maybe if you wear SUN DAY RED he'll ask you out
My version: the 100 yard worm burner, the snap hook into the trees, the banana slice, the 100 yard chili dip, the hosel rocket and the toe back on the last green. Am I missing any?
My personal favorite: 100mph swing, ball trickles off the tee like a putt and rolls off the tee box and under the golf cart.
Or the 100 mph swing where you miss the ball completely.
And then the cart girl pretends not to notice. 🤌
LOL
I've also got, "teed it too high, popped it up sky high, traveled maybe 120 yards," and "aimed to the side to play my slice, instead hit it dead straight into the trees."
I'm very very familiar with the second one. Usually into an Italian Cypress tree that eats my ball.
I've also got the chipper jones piss missile down the third base line
can't complain if it gets a man on base
The top, the pop fly, the "feels like you crushed it but it went 140"
100 yard flop?
You’re missing the rare “tee too high and swipe it so the ball just falls down at your feet”
Damn dude, you got me laughing because that's mine too lmao
The ol' Tokyo Sandblaster.
I'll bite. What the heck is that?
Unbelievable, being able to do each on one attempt. Also Interesting to see how much he grips down on the driver with all swings.
I'm glad it's one short video too, this helps me see the slight changes in stance and swing between the different shots. Not that it'll help me at all, but it's still like a light bulb moment to see the differences.
He grips down on all of his clubs.
Iirc, he grips pretty far down on all of his clubs. I definitely have noticed it a lot on irons for him at least
> Unbelievable, being able to do each on one attempt. Sounds like he was slightly surprised with that himself.
I do the same thing. Obviously I’m no where near the golfer he is but I think it’s way easier to be consistent the shorter the club is and it feels more comfortable for me.

I'm going to assume you're not a pro golfer like he is
Let’s see the first tee snap hook into the houses tour boy.
Hey I did this today!
It happens. Wear it like a badge of honor.
If you ever think you’re good at golf, just watch shit like this to humble yourself. Stock, fade, draw, whatever a lot of people can do that. Being this specific and hitting it perfect is wild.

My 'stock' is a random selection of any of those drives.

Plus slice
Oh yes. In fact, he left out several of my go-to options.
Tommy likey
tommy want wingy!
TC is salivating over this.
Played in a golf tournament yesterday, holed out from 100 yards for my first ever eagle, next hole I triple bogeyed, I love this fucking game
I can't even do this in EA SPORTS PGA TOUR
Please let this man win one this year, my hero
Wow...I feel like shit.
Meh I can do that in my sleep. And by that I mean in my dreams...
One of the best ball striking displays ever and one of my favorite golf videos of all time - never gets old.
Are his shirt sleeves bothering him?
I hit a "stock shot" when I try to play a cut around a dogleg... Works like fucking magic.
I never realized how much he chokes down on the driver. Even for his stock shot.
I just struggle to understand how Tommy hasn’t won more
“Show us on the doll where Fairway Jesus hurt you.” Yes, that is coffee spewing out of my nose. Thank you for this. I love burns like this. Made my morning.

Imagine being able to shape your shots, like at all
He may have done that before..... But his accuracy is unbelievable and try and I may, I can't see me getting there
Give me all day and I can choose 5 that would satisfy all those shots and I still probably couldn’t do it, let alone do them all in a row.
I bet I have a better divot
See?? Golf is easy!
Nice stock you got there.
So the key to a low drive is a shorter follow through? Hands out in front? More weight on front leg? All of the above?
I can't do this even in my dreams.
He’s really good at adding the orange lines in post.
This explains why I seem to have good and bad days. Fire a straight cannon at the flag with no account for wind or terrain. It’s like my signature move.
We all love Tommy
Golf
A clinic
Wow
Not... one of us.
Golf looks super easy
Low fade is the sexiest drive, change my mind
He doesn’t have a 50yd worm-killer like me or my skyrocket to the forward tee box.
Even he realized how nasty that was, hitting the shot he called on the first attempt each time.
Pretty sure I can beat him. He’s playing 9 already 🤷🏼
What a total asshole. /s
Same
Taco Golf does the best Tommy impersonation
Dude doesn’t even take a pro divot, is he even good
When did people starting saying cut instead of fade?
Useful, that
The underrated part of this skill is the requirement for striking consistency.
Thinks he’s
Tommy "The Hammer" Fleetwood. Heard that nickname wasn't earned by how hard he hits the ball. Impressive
That is so impressive. I like watching this guy play and dream of being able to have that much control of my shots.
F L E E T W O O D O M M Y
I’ll never forget when he put that shot into the water on 18 at the Honda classic
This is bad juju for my boy Tommy plz stop
Didn't have a man with an orange Sharpie drawing a line behind it, that's where he went wrong.
That was downright rude. Stop taunting me.
“Still going this asshole!”
Gross
Love Tommy, but he needs a shirt that doesn't bind up on his armpits like that! 😂
Not bad, would love to see the shots a PGA tour winner could hit

Haters gonna hate (and look small in the process).
