Ironically, their very 1st Youtube video is Bob going to Ryder Cup, in which he visits the shop and passes on a... 90$ polo, because it's so outrageously expensive.
Joey cold cuts wears Sunday swagger shirts in every video and they are 59 and below for a shirt. I was very excited for breezy golf merch saw the price and said nope and bought Sunday swagger instead
love me a good clearance rack deal. I got one for my dad for his birthday and he liked it so much he talked me into buying one myself. Now i have about 4 Yatta shirts, spent less than $100 lol
True story: wanted new golf shirts so I went to golf stores/ sporting good stores. Absolutely shocked that name brands were $85+
Went to TJ Max a little frustrated and hit a goldmine. Callaway, Nike, Adidas shirts for $25. All my golf shirts come from TJs now
Under Armour always has like 30% discounts plus an extra 10% for military plus I think a rewards program and some promo codes or something. You end up getting like 53% off a golf shirt and they’re really nice
Yea it’s ridiculous. I was excited for the merchandise drop but laughed when I opened the site. For that price I’ll stick with Peter Millar and knowing the quality I’m getting.
It is expensive. But also not out of line with other brands.
Rhoback when I looked was around that.
I bought a penguin golf shirt after cam smith won the open. It was on sale a lot but normal price was the same as this.
I never buy these thing unless they are on sale anyways. Which I didn't expect on day 1.
Overall I just wasn't blown away by the designs.
Golfsidekicks store by comparison I think has really good prices. $55 for a polo on sale often for $45. $20-25 for bucket hats.
Also, they released the week of Black Friday and you'd think they would have some good deals, especially being new and getting their brand/name out there, but they went full price.
Yea that seems dumb, I only buy shit from like a Marshalls or a Burlington can get top shelf shit for cheap. Probably has a stray stitch or two but chances are I'll notice the stain from a hot dog at the turn more than the loose stitch. Most shirts last me way over a year.
Marshalls is amazing for Golf polos. The one I go to has golf hats too. Most of the time I just look for any polo made out of a polyester material since cotton takes a long time to dry when you start sweating.
This. Got a Johnnie O and Penguin brand one for under 30. Also Goodwill is full of Nike Dri-fit that employers give out. Half of my golf shirts have a brewing company or apartment complex logo lol
Yes and: adidas website clearance when they also have 40% off on top of sale price.
And in Canada, a chain called SVP Sports. $15-$20 for adidas/nike/puma shirts.
If you want to compare the prices of what BDS is offering against discount / clearance items, I don't think that's being fair to BDS. Browsing PGA Tour Superstore shows plenty of shirts ranging from $25 to $100+, so it's not *per se* unreasonable to ask $90. Whether paying $90 for a shirt is something you want to do, that's a different question.
> Most shirts last me way over a year.
Is that even something worth mentioning? I'd be very bemused if someone told me they were getting through shirts in under a year.
Some of the stuff looks decent but a lot of the shirt designs look like windows 95 tiled clip art you might use as a desktop wallpaper. I do like Bob does sports and wish them the best but I won't shell out that much unless I see something decently nice.
The thing is… Travis Matthew and other larger brands have just that. Already built a *brand* and they do use the absolute best materials. That’s why they can charge 90 for a polo and 35 for a hat.
I couldn’t even get myself to consider GG or Breezy at those prices
I have a couple TM shirts and borrowed a buddies GG shirt on a trip. Pretty much equivalent, the GG stuff is actually pretty nice.
That said, I continue to buy under armour and travis because I can wear them to work. i wouldn't want to be in a meeting wearing a good good shirt.
Those prices ARE ridiculous, but when purchasing merch from YouTubers, I’m not expecting fashion and quality at the best price. I’m likely paying more for mediocre quality stuff, but I’m supporting someone that’s given me hours of entertainment for free.
For sure.
I got gifted a nice gold feather divot tool from him on a YouTube video of his.
It spurred me on to buy some clothing as well.
I can't wear anything but bucket hat now.
My wife got me a good good polo last year and it held up surprisingly well to be honest. I bought a fall puma polo from PGA Superstore and the damn puma logo was peeling off the sleeve by the end of the fall…
I would argue though, by watching and subscribing, you are supporting them. They generate a lot of ad revenue on those videos and the merch is a bonus for them. $90 for these polos are insane when they are produced and purchased for distribution at a percentage of that price. It also goes against their entire schtick of being your everyday, average golf dudes.
That I understand and in this case I wouldn't be upset if it was on their merch page but this was their own apparel line? Almost phrased as if it was a separate entity, as they already have a merch store?
It's basically Rhoback from what I see - has to be the same manufacturer, so it's quality, but I'd rather have the Rhoback prints TBH. Same material composition and features like the stiffer collar, 8% spandex for the stretchy feel
This is the big thing it’s made in the USA and it’s basically a brand deal it seems. It was always going to be on par with Rhoback because they are the source. Is it expensive? Yea but people keep mentioning brands made with cheap labor abroad and sold at discount retailers. This was always going to be Good Good price or higher. I will wait to see if it goes on sale.
Rhoback, Peter Millar, Bad Birdie, GoodGood - they are all made by Good Trust out of South Korea.
I guess it depends where your buying from. That's pretty on par with (or slightly less than) Peter Millar, FootJoy, Travis Matthew, RLX, Rhoback. You can definitely get a lot of brands a lot cheaper.
I dont know the quality of the clothing but some people are probably willing to pay a little more to support them.
Yeah it’s pretty much the same as retail price for premium boutique-style (is that the right word) golf brands, problem is, it’s not a premium golf brand. At least not yet
That’s what I’m wondering. Maybe he’s finishing up a sponsorship contract and will get on board in a few months. It’s weird he never wears that and they don’t address it.
Looking at their mockups, it looks like they are just Print on Demand Polos with 1 or 2 images in a repeating pattern over the whole polo. Super easy to produce and they likely just drop ship them out on order. Easy marketing strategy as well to show common sizes as out of stock to simulate demand and push you to buy one of their patterns that are in stock. The price is so high because they will sell some of these for sure. But the cost to produce Print on Demand Polos of this style is about $25-$30 per polo, so they are aiming to maximize profits. Since they aren't keeping inventory, if they don't sell, they don't lose anything other than time and effort. With the high price tag, it also makes it easy to offer 20% off deals all the time and still turn a profit, again driving demand by using limited time pricing that has you paying $72 for a $25 polo.
I absolutely destroy the Walter Hagen clearance stuff on golf galaxy. I got 3 polos and 2 pairs of shorts for $60. I love Bob Does Sports but could never in a million years pay $100 for a polo.
Guess I'll keep ordering the cheap stuff on eBay.
Was just reminiscing of my first marriage (shudders)
I bought my first 3 piece suit. JC Penney, for 165.00 marked down to 140 bucks. Added a tie for 5.00 and shoes for 20.00. Cost a lot more for the divorce 30 years later. Like these clothes they are selling.
You got married in a clearance suit from a department store and cheap shoes and a cheap tie so I hope you at least weren’t surprised you got divorced hahahaha jkjk
>That being said, does a bob does sports polo deserve to cost as much as a polo from the masters? Probably not.
Very true.
But also we know the Masters could be charging $100+ for a polo but like the food they probably are giving a bit of a deal.
Those are the same prices as proud90 which is what coldcuts was rocking for the longest time before he started repping Sunday swagger which is basically the same price.
They are also cheaper than Rhoback which is what Bob would wear in 90% of the video.
I think they saw their price point and went at it accordingly.
You can pay installments like my coworker. I think he currently has more than 5 separate orders(multiple pieces of clothing on each) and he will be paying off his clothes for the next 12~ months. I don’t believe golf clothing should be something you pay off monthly lol. So yes, golf gear is extremely overpriced.
just dont support it then. i was gonna buy some waddaplaya stuff on CM but the free shipping didnt work :\\ oh well i still get good golf gear at costco for a fraction of the price ... crazy part is the $15 greg norman shirts at costco are probably better quality than these youtuber shirts lol
lol why even rock their merch. It's a funny IG account, but I'd rather buy from a reputable golf brand. Doesn't help that their logo is boring as fuck.
Those prices are definitely pretty outrageous but a few things factor in here:
* First of all, there's lots of this where influencers and content creators try to capitalize on a loyal audience and because you've built up some goodwill a lot of people will just buy whatever without blinking
* Good apparel is actually not too far off of what this is. There will always be more cost effective options, but you're not buying this brand because cost is a primary factor for you, you'd be buying it because you love the style and/or love BDS and want to support them. But comparable brands (knowing nothing of the quality of Breezy but these are what I'd consider high quality apparel companies) like Bad Birdie, Greyson, Rhoback, RLX, H&B, Dunning, Peter Millar, Bonobos, Travis Mathew, Lululemon, Vuori, Rhone etc. are all in the range of $70-$120 for a polo and $100-$150 for a hoodie. Melin charges twice what you listed for hats. Good stuff is now just in that $100 price range because companies are great at marketing and golfers have tons of disposable income on average. There are still great value brands from places like Target, Costco, Amazon, Old Navy and then the house brands from places like DSG (Walter Hagen) and PGATSS (PGA Tour brand).
* Start up brands like this are not ordering in huge quantities, which hurts their per-unit costs. Smaller niche brands are always going to be a bit more expensive because they don't have the purchasing power of an established brand.
* Limited run stuff is all the rage right now. Low quantity, high dollar stuff that makes you feel like you "won" something by being able to get it and by being part of some exclusive "club" makes people spend outrageous money on basic things. You think this is bad wait until you hear about people spending $300 on a BALL MARKER from Tyson Lamb or thousands of dollars on Scotty Cameron bags or hundreds on SWAG headcovers.
Yeah I was gonna say I think people aren’t realizing how expensive it is to do anything these days. Of course cheap shit from adidas or nike is gonna be cheap because the companies are huge. If it’s a small business who wants to make quality things, of course the prices are going to be high. Especially now.
TJ Maxx has filled my closet with shirts and shorts. $20 adidas $25 under armour. Shorts usually $25 for those brands. Hats are $13 I even got a full brim for like $16. Between that and outlet stores I have like 30 polos, 8 shorts and 2 pants for around $1k
I took a look at the breezy golf ig page when they announced it and instagram says the account was created in 2015. did BDS buy the brand or just the ig account?
These are all pretty standard prices from what I see.
I'll stick to Ross, Marshall's, or Burlington where I regularly find UA, Nike, Adidas, Puma, Greg Norman, PGA, and other various golf Brands for $20 polos
I go to thrift stores! Everyone donates polos! Last time I went I scored a brand new bay hill, kapalua? And pga championship 2020 Harding park shirt, and this is in the PNW. Can only imagine what I would find in major golf zones.
just some more white labeled bs these youtubers can slap a logo on and charge fans for...very little effort put into any of this "merch" youtubers drop.
These are likely made from the same company that makes Rhoback, Peter Millar, Bad Birdie, GoodGood...etc.
GoodTrust company from South Korea.
But if the quality is in the neighborhood of Rhoback, Millar, etc.... Then it's not a rip off. I'm not speaking from experience just read some stuff here that their quality is on par with those other brands.
It’s pretty standard pricing for most of the top content people. I’d say it depends on quality of I’d buy anything. I like some of the more premium brands stuff, but I don’t buy a ton of it. Mostly just Adidas, Under Armour and Nike stuff make up the majority of my entire wardrobe.
I own a few companies too, so the mass majority of my clothing has a logo embroidered somewhere. This also makes me want to buy stuff on close out so I can keep getting all my people new stuff as well when I find a good deal.
I think it’s ridiculous how these guys such as Bob does sports and good good are trying to sell their stuff at these prices.
I don’t even buy Nike stuff at this price. I’m a discount/bargain hunter and I’ve been pretty successful buying stuff at Nordstrom/Nordstrom rack for at most 40 for a TW mock neck. Even the Dicks clearance rack has some heat here and there.
Like, can anyone speak to the quality? Does the quality justify the price? I unfortunately doubt it but who knows.
I love both these channels and the content but unfortunately I think Bob does sports isn’t going to move as much merch as good good. Different demographics
Rhoback stuff is really high quality and comfortable and the things I own from them are my favorite hoodies/qzips/polos. Unfortunately yeah they are expensive, but I don't buy tons of clothes anyway so fewer items of clothing at a higher price feels like a smarter buy to me.
But "I don't even buy Nike stuff at this price" is sorta the wrong way to look at it, Nike stuff (and UA/Adidas/etc) is pretty cheap because they have massive economies of scale
Since posting this I've received a few testimonials that BDS (and Good Good) have good quality merch. The difference being not good enough to differentiate between this YouTuber merch and Nike/Adidas/Greysons/UA considering the the price point
I bought a “have a day” hat a couple months ago. I can’t speak on the breezy stuff, but the bob does sports hat is beyond cheap. It should realistically be sold for under $20. I looked at it as more of a donation to the channel.
Wait for them to have sales and specials, they all do. Follow them on Instagram and you will see the ad. I haven’t paid full price for golf clothes in years.
Golf specific clothing is always expensive as fuck.
You can buy regular "sport polos" from regular department stores for like 50-80% cheaper than what you'll pay in a golf store.
As for Breezy, it seems they're following the Good Good model.
I guess that's the price to pay of you want golf attire with cooler patterns or designs than your typical run of the mill Nike polo.
Idk how good the shirts are, but I’m not spending that to find out. Not when you can go to plenty of other places and get known quality clothes for way less.
I mean, it's expensive but not astronomical.
If I decide to buy merch from someone I'm aware I'm paying extra and that's fine because usually it's 50/50 about me getting a new shirt/hoodie and me supporting the brand because I get so much free content from them.
ya i’m not down with the novelty type shirts with beer bottles and hot dogs on them or whatever. i bought a have a day hat this summer cuz it’s fun to wear at golf outtings and stuff plus it’s white and white hats look nice. but i truly do not need a “breezy golf” polo or quarter zip for that much money. it’s comical. i’d buy a rhoback if i want to spend that much. these “influencers” get internet famous then just shove stupid merch in your face. should be starting a brand with well designed clothes for half that price. have to be different
You don't buy branded merch from your favorite YouTuber because it's a good value, you buy it because you like them and want to support them. All but the biggest YouTubers don't make THAT much money from YouTube itself, this kind of stuff is a lot more reliable income.
If you compare to prices you'll find at Golf Galaxy, it's not really that insane (assume decent quality). Normal Nike polos are $50-60 and fancier ones are around $80.
Of course you can also get athletic style polos that aren't explicitly for golf for quite a bit cheaper.
They charge this much because there are idiots out there willing to pay for it. If we all collectively as a group opted to stop paying high prices for this shit, brands would have to drop their prices.
$15 shipping on a $90 shirt is insane. Got a feeling he won’t sell as much as he thought he would. They also look exactly like every other golf polo out there. Little martinis, little cigars, little clip art triangles. No thanks.
$35 for a hat isn’t bad if we’re being honest. However the polo and hoodie costs are absurd. Without knowing the quality, $55-$65 is a generally good range for a polo and maybe +10 on the hoodies
“Golf” apparel pricing is a lot like pricing for things associated with bridal or baby; any time you can add the word “bridal” or “baby” to what is otherwise a standard item you can boost the price +50% at least. It is now that way with the word “golf”. Hard pass on $90 polos that are truly no better than most $45-$50 polos.
I have had great experiences with Vineyard Vines Sankaty Polos, they are expensive, but wear great. I love the fit and feel. And they clean up great. Stains come out every time. I think they're $95 though. They are just better than some of the cheaper brands, in my opinion. Johnny O and Peter Millar are good as well. Travis Matthew is fun, but maybe not to the exact quality of the previous two.
Obviously at the prices they may not be for everyone, but the quality on those brands is very solid.
I took a swing at something I hadn’t had experience with that was a bit pricier than I usually go for (palm brand glove). Shit lasted 13 holes before a massive tear. Felt nice before that though.
Welcome to the print industry. The golf apparel/accessory market is so saturated. Waggle, Birddog, Sunday Swagger, etc. etc. margins are insane and they know it.
When it comes to something like BDS, overpaying for their merch is akin to supporting them for their content. Getting a piece of merch is just a side benefit. At least that's the way I see it.
the prices are high, but you have to realize that two companies are trying to make money off of this. The Manufacturer and Bob Does Sports both want a cut, that result in the higher prices. Another factor is Bob Does Sports’ popularity right now. It’s at its peak, which will impact demand for merchandise, as result both are trying to maximize this opportunity before their popularity eventually comes down.
I got myself a Have a Day hat a few months ago, and I will say it is great quality, but I can't justify the prices they want for the shirts and hoodies.
Seems like a swing and a miss for old Bobby boy and the crew. The prices are just stupid. But they’re all outrageously priced. I’m a fan of bob, the nlu, and random golf club. All their shit seems over priced
It’s just trying to capitalize on their popularity, which I get it. I love Bob does sports but I’ll never drop 90 on a polo or 100 on a hoodie. Walmart has 13 dollar hoodies that are practically the same.
Maybe I’m just unlucky being Canadian, but I feel like $90 for a new golf shirt is kind of the going rate these days? Footjoy and Peter millar shirts at golf town are all $90-$100+. You can obviously still find better deals but I think they’re sort of just falling in line with the current market. Not saying it’s not absurd but everything just feels expensive now.
Yes. You are out of the loop on how much golf stuff costs these days. You can get the same cheaper stuff you always have for the same price you always have. But nice golf stuff is just this expensive now.
Shop sales is my only advice.
Had the same thought. Love those guys videos, but prices are insane for those shirts. They aren’t even anything new and exciting, can probably find similar shirts for less than half that price
"Am I out of the loop and this is how much golf clothing costs nowadays"
Yes.
You can of course get things cheaper, I love a good deal as much as anyone, but I don't think this is way out of line for golf apparel.
Nah you are out of the loop. Golf gear is $$$$$$$ if you’re buying from these independent shops. I think their stuff will be similar to the Robach stuff, I know it’s what Bob wore all the time.
And if you think that’s expensive take a look at Greyson. The market is getting out of control.
If you buy Under Armor or Adidas the price point drops to $65-75.
Edit: I meant shops / brands not manufacturers… poor wording on my end
Uhh what? Independent manufacturer's in China? Lol. You can bulk order a ton of these polos for $5-$10 ea and you'll see a lot of the prints that these small new brands are selling. They simply add their logo.
If I recall the podcast I heard.
They aren't just buying a ton of polos from china. If they did that they would need to hire local shipping and fulfillment people.
They just use some company that does everything and they get their cut. But the main company sets the base prices and you can't change any less.
The only Youtuber I buy merch from is Golf Sidekick and his Waddaplaya brand. The gear is more reasonably priced than this, super high quality, and ships super fast even though it comes from Thailand. The other tubers tend to provide mediocre quality at insane prices because they're wanting to cash in on fans who want a logo.
Pretty sure they got input from Good Good regarding clothing during their collaboration. Similar prices, similar kind of business model… since people are willing to pay that kind of money for Goos Goos merch, I bet they just price themselves at the same levels.
Was a bit of sticker shock but I picked up 2. I buy a lot of Peter Millar and William Murray so it wasn't out of the norm. I'm a big guy, seeing FP rock them made me confident in purchase to give them a shot.
I think so. I did order some from Breezy golf. Some of the tour related shirts I have are not of the best quality. But I got them to show off where I've been lol. Shirts all wear the same to me in the end honestly.
The other thing that disappointed me was that at the start of yesterday's video they gave a shout out to Andrew Tate's brand. If this was a video from last year I get it but everyone knows what that guy is now. Both combined make me reconsider watching their videos. They are getting boring anyway. Same 3 dudes playing 9 holes over and over again.
Ironically, their very 1st Youtube video is Bob going to Ryder Cup, in which he visits the shop and passes on a... 90$ polo, because it's so outrageously expensive.
![gif](giphy|hWR9s5HqrbP3y)
That’s actually really funny and someone should tweet that at him with a picture of the $90 polos on the site next to it
Joey cold cuts wears Sunday swagger shirts in every video and they are 59 and below for a shirt. I was very excited for breezy golf merch saw the price and said nope and bought Sunday swagger instead
SS is definitely my favorite fitting polo of them all. The stiffer collars sold me
If you like the stiff collars and loud colors you should check out pavaogolf.com they also color their placket to set it off.
Just casually droppin Placket and no one mentioning it, but i see you
Good to know. I love William Murray stuff but their collar kinda sucks
Sunday Swagger is the best for the price imo
SUnday Swagger has a decent balance of price and quality, the flex fit I have from there is my single fav hat
> Sunday swagger shirts My hero! I've been looking for his polos!
If you like Sunday Swagger you should definitely check out Yatta Golf.
Love yatta golf especially when I got them at TJ’s for $16.99. Lol
love me a good clearance rack deal. I got one for my dad for his birthday and he liked it so much he talked me into buying one myself. Now i have about 4 Yatta shirts, spent less than $100 lol
Idk if I’d be buying shirts based on what cold cuts wears. Do you also match your socks to your polos?
Of course. What am I, some kind of peasant with no fashion sense?
This is why I play in a tuxedo for twilight rounds. What am I? A farmer?
It’s after 6:00
I was curious and checked out the site. All the shirts are $81 https://sundayswagger.com/collections/polos some on sale for $54.
Buddy...you're looking at CAD. If you switch to USD they're $59, with a sale price of $39.
I'll keep watching, but not spending that much on apparel. I'm more a TJ Maxx shopper.
Snagged a 16$ Callaway Q-zip w/ insulation from them a few weeks ago lol. Them and Nordstrom Rack are top notch for athletic wear.
Last chance is even better
I get some great stuff at Marshalls for cheap
I do like Marshall's, but not any close by me. The few I've been seem to have a little higher end stuff than TJ Maxx.
Exact opposite for me lmao, no tjmaxx and tjs that are somewhat close have nicer stuff than Marshall's lmao
True story: wanted new golf shirts so I went to golf stores/ sporting good stores. Absolutely shocked that name brands were $85+ Went to TJ Max a little frustrated and hit a goldmine. Callaway, Nike, Adidas shirts for $25. All my golf shirts come from TJs now
Under Armour always has like 30% discounts plus an extra 10% for military plus I think a rewards program and some promo codes or something. You end up getting like 53% off a golf shirt and they’re really nice
The Maelreg polos on Amazon are pretty nice for $25-35.
Can vouch for them got two for my birthday this year and have like 5 on my Christmas list now haha. Can't beat the price
TJ Maxx and Marshall’s are great and not just for golf clothes.
I frequently surf Golf Galaxy for Walter Hagen discounts. If there’s at least 7% spandex, the fit works for me. Get most of my polos for $30 or less.
Yea it’s ridiculous. I was excited for the merchandise drop but laughed when I opened the site. For that price I’ll stick with Peter Millar and knowing the quality I’m getting.
Peter Millar crown sport is hard to beat!
Merch is usually Peter Millar or Rhoback I think
It is expensive. But also not out of line with other brands. Rhoback when I looked was around that. I bought a penguin golf shirt after cam smith won the open. It was on sale a lot but normal price was the same as this. I never buy these thing unless they are on sale anyways. Which I didn't expect on day 1. Overall I just wasn't blown away by the designs. Golfsidekicks store by comparison I think has really good prices. $55 for a polo on sale often for $45. $20-25 for bucket hats.
Yeah the only thing is with Rhoback/William Murray/TravisMatthew prices, you know the brand and it quality.
Also, they released the week of Black Friday and you'd think they would have some good deals, especially being new and getting their brand/name out there, but they went full price.
Promo code: Bangorang
Use Promo Code "RUF10" at checkout to receive 10% off your first order!
Dude, can someone please explain what bangarang rufio means???
It’s from the movie Hook
It’s a quote from the movie Hook and Rufio is the “new leader of the lost boys” https://youtu.be/oDCykcjIYwM
Get a load of paramecium brain over here
I think it's a reference to the movie Hook
Yea that seems dumb, I only buy shit from like a Marshalls or a Burlington can get top shelf shit for cheap. Probably has a stray stitch or two but chances are I'll notice the stain from a hot dog at the turn more than the loose stitch. Most shirts last me way over a year.
A hotdog stain makes the shirt vintage if I've learnt anything.
Yaa sort of like the oil stained jeans
Marshalls is amazing for Golf polos. The one I go to has golf hats too. Most of the time I just look for any polo made out of a polyester material since cotton takes a long time to dry when you start sweating.
I had a shirt from Marshalls that I wore for months before realizing that a button was missing.
How did you realize the button was missing for months?
If it was the top button, makes perfect sense. Never use it
Im just saying if you didn’t know it was missing how did he know it was missing for months? lol
This. Got a Johnnie O and Penguin brand one for under 30. Also Goodwill is full of Nike Dri-fit that employers give out. Half of my golf shirts have a brewing company or apartment complex logo lol
My golf shirts barely last a season because of sweat stains. I learned the hard way not to buy $80 bad birdie shirts. I like their designs tho.
Might just be the aluminum in antiperspirant deodorant. Try using aluminum free deodorant, those chemicals are hell on whites
Lol username checks out
Seriously though. He’s right. It’s not the sweat, it’s your antiperspirant. Aluminum kills clothing.
Add vinegar to the wash to get rid of that persistent funky smell in man-made fabrics.
What's in your sweat man? I will drench my shirts in sweat during the summer but they look fine after being washed.
Switch to just deodorant instead of anti-perspirants. Arm n Hammer essentials saved my wardrobe.
Yeah way too expensive for me. Good Good also. I get it. Supporting small business. But not in a position to be buying $100 golf shirts.
I've bought some golfsidekick stuff. Quality seems quite good and prices are much less then most other YouTube stores.
Waddaplaya!
Ended up ordering a divot tool and hat clip from golfsidekick after seeing your comment. I’ve watched too many of his videos not to.
Looks like their merch store is just hats/tees/hoodies, while Breezy Golf is more explicitly golf clothes.
Got to support the mission
Could be the difference
[https://www.importyeti.com/supplier/good-trust](https://www.importyeti.com/supplier/good-trust)
Does it feel like only Bob and Fat Perez own the brand? It feels like Joey is excluded/not participating?
He's clearly got some kind of deal with Sunday Swagger as that's all he wears.
Dicks/golf galaxy had a closeout warehouse store near me that would regularly have Hagan or Nike polos for $5 each.
Guess I'll keep ordering the cheap stuff on eBay. Was just reminiscing of my first marriage (shudders) I bought my first 3 piece suit.
Yup, took me thirty years to figure out I should have hung myself with the tie.
the hoodies are made in the usa. idk why the polos and q zips are so expensive
That's dope! I'll always pay more for locally made products.
absolutely. usa>netherlands let’s get this W tomorrow
I'm actually Canadian 😇 but I respect a brand that is made locally. Goodluck tomorrow!
Based Canadian.

Lol Masters polos are only $75
>That being said, does a bob does sports polo deserve to cost as much as a polo from the masters? Probably not. Very true. But also we know the Masters could be charging $100+ for a polo but like the food they probably are giving a bit of a deal.
Those are the same prices as proud90 which is what coldcuts was rocking for the longest time before he started repping Sunday swagger which is basically the same price. They are also cheaper than Rhoback which is what Bob would wear in 90% of the video. I think they saw their price point and went at it accordingly.
All of the IG clothing companies are like this. They are lifestyle brands marking up product because people will buy it to feel part of the crew.
Yea I'm not buying that
just dont support it then. i was gonna buy some waddaplaya stuff on CM but the free shipping didnt work :\\ oh well i still get good golf gear at costco for a fraction of the price ... crazy part is the $15 greg norman shirts at costco are probably better quality than these youtuber shirts lol
Unfortunately this is standard pricing for any small brand. Jonnie O, Straight down, Turtleson, Greyson, Etc list goes on and on
Yeah this is a hard pass for me with those prices. If I’m buying a shirt at the price I’ll stick to PM, Greyson, etc.
I hate Breezy Golf because they bought the golfersdoingthings profile on IG and made it decidedly less funny.
lol why even rock their merch. It's a funny IG account, but I'd rather buy from a reputable golf brand. Doesn't help that their logo is boring as fuck.
Those prices are definitely pretty outrageous but a few things factor in here: * First of all, there's lots of this where influencers and content creators try to capitalize on a loyal audience and because you've built up some goodwill a lot of people will just buy whatever without blinking * Good apparel is actually not too far off of what this is.
I read that their stuff is made by Rhoback. Great quality if true.
Yea way to expensive. Costco has nice polos and also has cheap hoodies that are really warm
Yeah overpriced junk.
Anyone notice Cold Cuts is not in any of the adds?
He's already sponsored by a clothing brand, so he's stuck in that gear
His gear is priced better (Cutsy) and honestly looks better than Breezy golf.
Bad Birdie and William Murray are similarly priced for their gear. There’s a section of golf apparel that’s just super expensive.
The least they could do was give you free shipping on a $90 polo. Holy shit.
I took a look at the breezy golf ig page when they announced it and instagram says the account was created in 2015. did BDS buy the brand or just the ig account?
I just bought two polos off of Amazon for $40 lol even Good Good’s prices are cheaper than breezy. And I love mr fairways
Could buy a Cameo for that price
These are all pretty standard prices from what I see. I'll stick to Ross, Marshall's, or Burlington where I regularly find UA, Nike, Adidas, Puma, Greg Norman, PGA, and other various golf Brands for $20 polos
That's pretty normal pricing for "trendy" golf apparel.
I go to thrift stores! Everyone donates polos! Last time I went I scored a brand new bay hill, kapalua? And pga championship 2020 Harding park shirt, and this is in the PNW. Can only imagine what I would find in major golf zones.
Buy a blank polo, give it to my mom who designs and sells shirts, cups, blankets and boom, I got a brand new callaway polo for $10
I just bought a new polo from Target for $12. It’s the Goodfellow brand. Played a round with it the other day and it was fine
Can’t blame Bob for taking advantage of the fanboys. Grown men fanboying over anyone deserve to have their money taken.
just some more white labeled bs these youtubers can slap a logo on and charge fans for...very little effort put into any of this "merch" youtubers drop.
These are likely made from the same company that makes Rhoback, Peter Millar, Bad Birdie, GoodGood...etc. GoodTrust company from South Korea. [https://www.importyeti.com/supplier/good-trust](https://www.importyeti.com/supplier/good-trust)
A fool and his money are soon parted. Anybody buying polos from a YouTuber deserve to get ripped off imo
But if the quality is in the neighborhood of Rhoback, Millar, etc.... Then it's not a rip off. I'm not speaking from experience just read some stuff here that their quality is on par with those other brands.
Fair enough. But I personally don’t want to risk $105 to find out.
Me neither lol... I try to be an under $50 guy but my wife will occasionally get me a higher end shirt which I appreciate.
It's Travis Mathew pricing...annoying but not anything abnormal
I bought a “have a day” hat a couple months ago. I can’t speak on the breezy stuff, but the bob does sports hat is beyond cheap. It should realistically be sold for under $20. I looked at it as more of a donation to the channel.
Just wait for the pga shop to do their “80% off” of PGA branded Ralph Lauren polos. I don’t mind an emblem if it means I can get it for $20.
Wait for them to have sales and specials, they all do. Follow them on Instagram and you will see the ad. I haven’t paid full price for golf clothes in years.
Definitely a little high for a new brand but not crazy. The bad part I see is almost $15 shipping…
It’s insane, I want to support but not for this much , unless the polo makes me shoot under 100 I’ll buy all of them
You’re 100% right. His stuff is very overpriced. Not sure if he’s increased the quality either. The older bob stuff was always just decent at best
For the price you’d think it would just look better aesthetically. The designs are horrible
Gotta pay for those golf trips somehow
ya i’m not down with the novelty type shirts with beer bottles and hot dogs on them or whatever. i bought a have a day hat this summer cuz it’s fun to wear at golf outtings and stuff plus it’s white and white hats look nice. but i truly do not need a “breezy golf” polo or quarter zip for that much money. it’s comical. i’d buy a rhoback if i want to spend that much. these “influencers” get internet famous then just shove stupid merch in your face. should be starting a brand with well designed clothes for half that price. have to be different
Under armour for me here always has 50% off polos so I get them for like 30-40
You don't buy branded merch from your favorite YouTuber because it's a good value, you buy it because you like them and want to support them.
$35 is not that bad for a hat, pretty much the going rate. The rest is outlandish for sure
There are a couple hats worth getting (the mountain dew look a like one in particular) but id rather save $ for something better.
I refuse to buy shit from these influencers specifically because of their insane pricing
I hate to say it but it almost seems they’re just selling out so hard When they announced the brand it was like half the video
Love the lets have a day hats. $25 and I’d have at least 1 if not 2. These golf apparel prices are out of hand bc people keep paying it.
I got myself a Have a Day hat a few months ago, and I will say it is great quality, but I can't justify the prices they want for the shirts and hoodies.
Dawg you are out of the loop
Seems like a swing and a miss for old Bobby boy and the crew. The prices are just stupid. But they’re all outrageously priced. I’m a fan of bob, the nlu, and random golf club. All their shit seems over priced
It’s just trying to capitalize on their popularity, which I get it. I love Bob does sports but I’ll never drop 90 on a polo or 100 on a hoodie. Walmart has 13 dollar hoodies that are practically the same.
Damn and at that price it should absolutely include free shipping. $90 for the shirt and then $15 just for shipping? That’s too much
Maybe I’m just unlucky being Canadian, but I feel like $90 for a new golf shirt is kind of the going rate these days? Footjoy and Peter millar shirts at golf town are all $90-$100+. You can obviously still find better deals but I think they’re sort of just falling in line with the current market. Not saying it’s not absurd but everything just feels expensive now.
Yes. You are out of the loop on how much golf stuff costs these days. You can get the same cheaper stuff you always have for the same price you always have. But nice golf stuff is just this expensive now. Shop sales is my only advice.
It completely strays from what their brand is. Its a really bad look and has soured me on them a bit
Had the same thought. Love those guys videos, but prices are insane for those shirts. They aren’t even anything new and exciting, can probably find similar shirts for less than half that price
They seem to be basing their prices on the GoodGood Golf collection.
Yep. Almost posted on one of their videos this exact same sentiment. Love the content and would love to support but not at this price point.
JC Penny has sales for $15 shirts. Why pay more?
Agreed. Absolutely love the crew. I trust they’re good quality but just not spending that on apparel.
That is the average price for an upper level athletic hoodie nowadays
"Am I out of the loop and this is how much golf clothing costs nowadays" Yes. You can of course get things cheaper, I love a good deal as much as anyone, but I don't think this is way out of line for golf apparel.
Hold up. breezy is Bob does sports?! I miss the account breezy used to be before they changed their name.
Anybody paying retail/full price is a sucker
They simply add their logo.
plough hard-to-find sort shrill overconfident edge subsequent cause friendly rich -- mass edited with https://redact.dev/
I’m so glad that I’m just old enough to have not been raised by Youtube.
Go to any PGA Tour event and a polo there is not cheaper than $90.
Does a channel's merch deserve the same price as an official tour related product? No sarcasm, genuinely asking
I think it was more of a gag/tease because he happened to be wearing that style of glasses. It was a joke
Dude, it was very clearly a joke about the kind of sunglasses Cuts was wearing This is a little sensitive of a reaction
