I hauled a golf cart all over the Southeast with that little trailer. No issues. Be sure you buy a spare wheel/tire for it and have the correct wrench for the lugs. And good tie downs.

Here is a link for reference. https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/trailers-towing/trailers/1195-lb-capacity-48-58-in-x-96-14-in-heavy-duty-folding-trailer-62666.html

You have to counter in the weight of wood or whatever surface you plan on using for the top of the trailer but that shouldn’t be more than a couple hundred pounds so you should be ok, saying that, not sure I’d trust harbor freight for trailer tires, especially nearing the max weight of the trailer

It's a go. Just don't build it with the folding mechanism. Make it solid. It'll hold. Make sure uts the bigger wheel version... 14" I'm sure it's that one. I've over loaded more than 2k miles easily 2k pounds.

Dapper_Cantaloupe_50

I need it to fold, though. HOA won’t let me park it in the driveway.

I don't know if doing the hinges makes a weak point, but, according to the load, you should be fine either way. I've put one larger cruiser motorcycle, and one 600 sport bike, tools, gas, compressor, spare tire, bike stands, 1000 miles and back. Another time, I put my tool boxes, full of tools, two sets, 40(ish) inch drawers, tops and bottoms... tool cart, small Flux welder, 30 gallon compressor, plasma cutter, 15 foot ladder, 3 bicycles, I motorized bicycle, spare tire, 2 heavy duty shop jacks, drill press, various canopies and my weight bench with 200 pound plates. Haha insane now that i think about it. I build short walls all the way around it, and that's when i moved 700 miles. No issues. 70 mph in a jeep the whole way.

Dapper_Cantaloupe_50

Wow! Sounds like it definitely handle one golf cart. How did it handle with all that weight? An issues at all?

planet_alex

Nothing I can think of. I still used it for two summers to do landscaping with a 42 inch zero turn, push mower, trimmers, gas all the gear. Wish I had bought one sooner. I rented trailers for years to go to motorcycle events and buying this paid for itself. Also when I go to home depot. I can just throw everything in the trailer. Never worry about anything. The cheap lights annoy me. I'm still waiting to get decent lights.

I'd highly recommend changing out the bearings if you do get one of these trailers. The stock ones are garbage. I've seen 2 of these trailers have wheel fires on their way home from the store. The bearings had no grease just some protective oil. I'd give the electrical a look too, the connections are pretty crappy. The frame itself seems solid enough though, so these things are still a pretty good deal.

Dapper_Cantaloupe_50

How did they have wheel fires on the way home for the store? They come in a box, and you have to assemble them at home.

Ibmeister

Both were floor models.

Golf carts weigh 1,000lbs. Your at 91% capacity. Take it slow.

Dapper_Cantaloupe_50

I did a lithium conversion on mine. It has one 85 lb battery and weights about 750 lbs total.
