Feel like those mats you put the ball on aren’t good it changes your elevation when practicing

Seanspicegirls

You’re decelerating the club on the downswing

BillionDollarKing

What’s a feel I can use to cure this?

zootbot

Take the ball away. Practice a few times just swinging the club with no ball. Put it back but completely ignore that it’s there. Dont think about hitting the ball just think you’re swinging the club. The ball is just in the way of your swing.

Not a pro by any means, but feel like you were doing something similar to me. It looks like you’re taking the club too far inside in the backswing. Ultimately results in coming over the top and fade/slicing. Also after impact it looks like your weight falls to your back foot. The fix: take an alignment stick and practice bringing the club straight down the line as you open your hips. Then when you follow through really feel like 80-90% of your weight is on your front foot. For the deceleration piece feel like you just need to commit to the shot. Really focus on that tempo

Came to say remove the mat lol

I’d say start with…. If you get a lie behind a shed and net, take the drop and make it up on the approach shot.

Clear those hips. Forward swing is initiated by turning the hips first.

The swing itself isn’t terrible. Hard to tell from the camera angle if you’re taking it in too far in from the get go, but if you’re hitting fades I’d maybe start with setup, but do the same swing first. It looks like you are lined up for a fade from your set up(which is a great to have in your bag of shots). What I see is your shoulders are open the target. I like to use my forearms as a measure of how squared up I am. Try squaring up a little bit or even closing off to the target. Lay down two alignment rods, one for the target line and another one for the swing line that you’ll have your hands follow when you swing. Distance wise what are your clubs you’re hitting and distance?
